Boot not closing properly and rusting has been an issue since the ICE version of tata punch. Pretty disappointed that it still hasn't been fixed even after 3 years of its launch.
A friend owns the old Nexon since 2021 and has serviced his car twice and both times the whole process happened in just 1 day and the car works as new as it can 👌
Before starting video I thought it will be all goody goody video and great service experience , since Tata knows Gagan is auto journalist and make sure to pay special attention , since he would be making video on same. Now I don’t know to feel happy or sad cause Tata has maintained same service experience for him as well 😂 , and sad that even he is not spared from Tata problems 😅 . Thanks Gagan bhai for taking the hit for all of us who are buying or consider buying TATA car. It takes huge amount of guts to dive into the fire (Given the fact that you know everything about TATA motors). Otherwise a regular guy who doesn't know the reality of TATA motors would probably go insane. To all the fanboys, please understand, if you keep up like this, TATA motors will never improve. TATA motors are way behind in this department and I hope they catch up someday.
Well said brother👍 Tata ke toxic fanboys ko actually tata own krke dekhni chahaiye tab unko problems pta chalengi. Quality of Tata Cars is extremely poor. Plastics are of poor quality. Fit finish issues. Electronics faliure. Then their's premature rusting of body panels.
Well I will share my Maruti experience after buying Jimny. So, obviously the Japanese cars are bulletproof in basic engineering but the problem is with us Indians. In maruti, nobody knows about Jimny, you have to explain everything to them because it's a 1st ladder on frame 4*4 in a long time for maruti, so the people are not skilled. Same goes for Tata, small niggles could be fixed if people are skilled at the dealership level which is not the case in India. With more electronics, this will become a bigger problem for all mass manufacturers soon. I have been to Mahindra as well, it's not as bad as Tata but their technicians are clueless as well about the new tech and cars.
I dont own any extravagant cars; it's just a simple S-presso VXI and yet everytime I came across any problem (which is only twice after almost 4.5 yrs of owning the car) they came up with a solution in the first inspection itself, and got it fixed in the very same day also. Truely god-tier level of service. Did a lot of highway trips, never faced any issues with anything. Driven it nonstop for 300 kms also, with AC on in peak summers. Thats just unmatched reliability from a very budget friendly car.
Maruti 800 mai ac chala k drive kr lete ho waahhh bhai ........ Maine to AC utarwa k 17 saal chalai thi just last year 2023 mai scrape krni padi 20 saal pure ho gye the
Gagan bhai the gear selecter issue is not because of hydraulic pressure but because of a faulty break switch below the pedal. This is a silent recall. Meri harrier facelift 5 baar breakdown main isi reason se aai thi. Same with my friends nexon EV. I wish more people know this. I also got to know this because I changed my dealer and he told me that they got a mail from tata regarding this but not all service centres are changing it. Brake switch basically tells the ecu that the car is stationary and break peal is pressed fully. In ICE cars all warning lights comes up in cluster and the car wont start.
You can also cross check this by seeing your back lights. When the switch is faulty the high mount brake light wont glow red and TCU basically assumes car is in motion and hence wont allow to change gears.
Break switch is like a rubber Nipple which gets pressed when you press the pedal. In some faulty cars this nipple gets stuck as it is a plastic part and brake boosters stops working hence the high pressure on your pedal. Tata ne mere jaise civil engineer ko bhi mechanical engineer bana diya
bhai abhi TATA ismein kya karegi ? Woh switch hai Mindarika company ka.... Aur japanese technology se bana hai... particular lot mein issue ho sakta hai...
People should appreciate Gagan bhai, even though he truly knew what he was getting into and what he will face he did it. That too without being some fancy influencer who makes fake threats against manufacturers
I own a tata punch , while watching your video i was like ( it's happening with me as well ) i always wondered that it maybe just my model detect but now i know it's a manufacturing fault in every unit . Moreover thanks making this video, let me tell you this video was lit for me 😊 . I'm not a ev but petrol automatic owner but even while changing gears I faced ditto issues

TATA need to understand customer otherwise soon they find themself in earlier slowdown stage. Thanks this ownership review, becoz i think to purchase Tata tiago or punch, but now no way to visit showroom.
They understand the customer they just don't know how to make quality product. All these issues should be dealt at factory level their quality control at factory is useless.
Happy owner of safari!! It's like out of a 100 there can be a problem in 5-6 cars so that's not really true ki every tata car has problems some may have it
Thanks Gagan for giving honest feedback, & hats off to Tata car owners for dealing with such a sub standard product on a day to basis. I have a 2018 honda city, & so far there is not a single issue in my car🤞
He will get experience as well as content. He will also claim depreciation while selling and write it off business expense all the while improving the content quality. It's not guts but a sensible business decision.

My TATA Service centre never allows customers to be near their vehicle. How do customers then be able to believe in their service work. Which oil they use, what works they are doing.? Aisa hoga to Transparency kaha se rahegi Gagan bhai...
it's not a Tata problem, our family had an i20, and the service centre people straight up refused to let us go near the car saying "allowed nahi hai" after that fiasco, we started going to a different service centre and they didn't care where we were while servicing.
13:44 My father’s 20 year old commuter bike which is now only used to get groceries from local area, that bike with all that chrome and metal parts has zero rusting.
Tata Punch - Issues Faced Before First Service 1. AC Malfunction: AC cuts off automatically while driving. 2. Drive Selector Issue: Drive selector fails to engage intermittently. 3. 12V Port Malfunction: 12V port has not been working since day one. 4. Suspension Noise: Noise from the front left suspension. 5. Warning Light Errors: Warning lights appeared immediately after delivery. 6. Isofix Child Seat Mounts Misaligned: Isofix child seat mounts are not properly aligned. Service center staff is unaware of Isofix child seat mount functionality. 7. Front Charging Door Issue: Front charging door does not open using the button or the emergency handle. 8. Rear Boot Problem: Rear boot fails to close securely.
Hi Gagan, I have driven Tiago EV ~32k km, I reported AC switch off and whirring sound issue to Tata service and got this response - it is actually the car diverting cooling from the cabin to the batteries, this happens when ambient temperatures go above 45°c which is quite common in North during summers. The acceleration drops as well as battery functioning is restricted until battery gets cooled back to acceptable temperature. This is to avoid damage to battery due to overheating.
Bhaiya, please bring a cartalaap video and address the following issues of EV cars: * Resale value of EV cars * Long-term viability of EVs * Charging infrastructure availability *Battery degradation and replacement costs *EV suitability in Rajasthan's high temperatures (50°C) *AC performance in summer *Temperature impact on range *Range anxiety ( claimed mileage vs real world mileage ) *Company performance and which company is doing good in ev market future prospects (Tata, MG, Mahindra) *Apart from tata punch serivce your real thoughts on ev cars would you prefer another ev in future or prefer other fuel cars you mention in the video that i'll calculate and figure out the running cost of petrol diesel cars I'm from Sikar, Rajasthan, and my family is considering purchasing a Nexon EV. Assuming the Nexon EV offers a 350 km range on a single charge, it would provide approximately 315-320 km of usable range. The distance from Sikar to Jaipur is 125 km, and we anticipate driving 40-50 km within Jaipur. This adds up to 300 km, which we aim to cover without charging the car. As we don't have a second car, the EV would be our primary vehicle or not . Assuming doing a one day trip from sikar to jaipur 125 km ( going distance ) 125 km ( coming back distance ) and 50 km ( within jaipur city ) 125 + 125 + 50 = 300 km Assuming we dont have second car and considering ev as a primary vehicle will it make sense or not please tell bhaiya Waiting for your like and comment😂😂 @Gagan Chaudhary
Mai abhi january me punch lene ke liye soch raha tha.... Thank you Gagan bhai ye video pehle upload karne ke liye. abhi to mujhe lagta hai ki meri pyari zen he sabse acchi hai
Lot of people don’t know this but gear selection issue is because of faults in brake switch. You can’t own such cars if you can’t drive them properly, as simple as that
Kudos Gagan for doing great service for your audience. Buying a glitchy product knowingly just ti test it out and bring fair and just information 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
For rust issues, Use cavity wax spray inside those door nooks, on screws n bolts use wd40 or as a precautionary spray clear coat. For boot not closing, loosen the screws and pull the latch backwards, Suspension & isofix latch & rear seat belt buckle not moving freely are actual flaws, Service centre guys are absolute gawar in your case. They flash your infotainment system with harrier or nexon's software and it leads to issues. Charging extra as warranty lapse is a new, They said its completely new platform which is a lie, they just moved the charging port to front side and calling it as new platform, Rear seat has bump in the middle, not flat floor as they mentioned. Even rear left wheel arch still has space for fuel filling neck, assembly line isn't working properly, They are not tucking wires inside clips which leads to rattling noise when driven on stone paved roads, top roofline doesn't comes with any dampening in rain it makes alot of noise. Even though they use same headlight as nexon they use different power control module which reduces the brightness, Price reduction is definitely throne in ash movement, atleast they should provide lifetime warranty for battery to compensate(which is not going to happen)
Tata using the same ICE derived platform should be highlighted more. Even the Curvv which they are touting as a new ATLAS architecture is not a new one just slightly extended Nexon platform(which is abt 15 years old)
@prithviraj.r5734 service centres are not directly controlled by companies be it tata, mahindra, hyundai, samsung, LG. So if you are ill knowledged be prepared to get screwed. If you still want to rectify these issue even after frequent service centre visits write a mail, they will address these issues
@ really? Is it nice to receive a car with this many issues or just to get a car that's THIS prone to having issues? Really? Anyone would rather not having a car like this
Just imagine if gagan sir is facing the issues, then what ab8 common people. Thanks gagan sir for uploading this video and now i have canceled my plan to buy TATA curv EV.
It’s high time that companies with less-than-perfect products establish dedicated service workshops within their manufacturing plants. This approach would allow their engineers to directly witness and address the real-world issues their products are facing. From my experience as a Mahindra owner, I’ve observed that many service centers lack the necessary debugging and diagnostic expertise. While this is understandable, given the technical and resource constraints faced by service center staff, it highlights a critical gap in the overall ecosystem. The solution lies in factory-operated service centers, at least as a temporary measure. These centers could bridge the gap by providing direct access to the manufacturers' expertise, resources, and in-depth technical knowledge, ultimately ensuring a better ownership experience for customers while improving product quality.
Gagan bro! You're one of the best youtubers out there, so sensible and someone who knows the cars inside out. Why did you not purchase a car from a better brand? Who could have made a better decision than you when it comes to cars, and yet you went ahead with a TATA car. I'm really surprised!!
Well bcz he mentioned in his buying video that I want to experience the TATA’s after sale service and obviously then only give a proper review about it
Gagan bhai main apki videos last 8 years se dekh raha hai Jo apne baate btai hai vo ek dum sach hai, service center walo ko pta hi nhi hota ki problem kaise fix hoti hai vo bas apki bato ko ignore karke bas normal service karke car wapis de dete hai, main kia sonet own karta hu, meri car ke door se sound ati hai jab bass increase karta hu, unhone isko fix karne ke liye waha double side tape laga di 😂😂
I also own a petrol punch, a few of those issues which you mentioned even I am facing those.. and they should really improve their fit and finish for accessories and rubber fittings! It’s terrible just had to replace my gaskets for front two windows.
If a prominent auto influencer's car gets treated like this, god save tata customers. What is the meaning of having a safe 5 star car if it lacks reliability, leaving you more unsafe than a reliable 2 wheeler.
Gagan bhai, I own punch ev lr, I also have same left front suspension problem. Just got my second servicing done. Will update if that problem comes again. Service center they have tightened bolt.
Thanks bhaiya for Guidance because of you I watched a lot of videos of Tata and Mahindra. Now I have Ford Ecosport 2021 Diesel model. Thanks for saving me❤
I am grateful that my punch ev is doing fine and i had to only face some minor software glitches and panel gap issues instead of this mess , that poor gagan is facing.
Gagan pointed the correct and major issue, that is service center are flooded with cars, so even if they want to resolve there issue they can't because they have soo many cars lined up, and everyone want there car to service same day. TATA need to think majorly on this
Gagan Bhai, I also owning punch petrol bs6 phase 2. Where 2 common problems facing same as you. 1- front right shocker same noise 2- all hazard lights on for some when the vehicle jump into any bad road We knows machines hai problem ho sakti hai but tata have completely failed to resolve customer issues.
Very true, have two tata cars and the main irritation is that service centers dont understand the problem, they just act ignorant to problem and never consider that these cars are important for owners. They just casually handle cars and most of time during delivery their is some new problem which did not exist when it was given to them.
Listening to all the issues with your car, I must say, you're the definition of patience! If it were me with a Tata car, I'd have caused such a ruckus by now that Tata service centers would have my photo on the wall with a 'Do Not Enter' sign! Jokes aside, these are major issues for someone middle-class who plans to keep the car for 5-7 years or drive it for around 1-2 lakh kilometers. It’s not something to take lightly!
Thanks Gagan for highlighting such issues and definitely Tata needs to look into service related issue seriously. They better focus on quality and great user experience than just quantity. It is a must have thing to be successful in long run...
At 15:52 there is Rusting on the door Because the PAINT had been Peeled off due to any Scratch or mishappening,I don't think it would get rust like that in a single line
I have a wagonR, 10 years old, MULTIPLE scratches, yes even on metal parts and not a single rust issue till now. This is clearly a tata ki quality control problem.
Huge fan of you, I watch all of your vlogs, I own new nexon facelift, the problems you mentioned with service center are absolutely right, they don’t have proper knowledge of the cars, they don’t even know that few features exists in the car until customer tells them. And they do mess up the car at the time of servicing, they leave scratches in brand new cars after first servicing.
I have 2 cars elite 2019 and Tiago 2023, in Tiago front windshield defogger flap inside dashboard was not functioning properly and the service centre also couldn't fix after visiting so I had got it fixed by local workshop very pathetic condition of tata service centre, Hyundai is still best I say, TATA should improve their service
Oh😂😂4300 Tesla units has been damaged with over heating of batteries in California and calgury😂😂 what would you say about this😂😂😂 chal chapri bhaag idar se bhagode
Facing same suspension issue with Nexon.. It happens while fast breaking on bad roads...Electronics are absolutely 3rd grade.. Absolutely accurate about service centre staff behaviour. ..only positive in a tata car is the drive quality and safety to a certain extent.
Bhai mera tiago jtp hain. 3500km they didn't change my engine oil. 6000km they never checked air filter. They stole my engine mounts and put them in some other car. I think they put someone else's alternator the last time I went there. Rusting is a given. And I don't even know how many bolts and screws went missing. I started doing my own maintenance after 6k. Spare parts are of worthless quality. In short I wouldn't buy another Tata or let anyone I know buy a Tata. Fyi: I used 4 different ASC's. All useless 😂fyi2: they stole my parking sensor too. Then replaced it with the wrong one. I had to look up schematics and parts and fix it myself. 😂 Fyi 3: if ac keeps shutting off its because thermostat pe ice form ho raha hain. There's no solution. It's a hvac design flaw from the time of zest 😂
i suggest not to buy tata. At group level they are pouring money but they dont fix fundamentals even jlr is like this. Tey dont desrve your money I had a tiago and its partial shelf is broken and every time they say its a engineering defect service center cant help. They brag about safety pr car ke sath mental peace kha hai??
I'm facing almost all of these issues in my punch ev. Ac hot n cold, I have to use a lot of defogger, boot issue, and every other thing except suspension noise and rusting. Waiting for my second service.
If this Car was made by a Small Company Like OLA, I am sure, all government agencies would dive into investigation of why such pathetic product was even approved to be sold in market.
I wish a lot of OTHER people buy ELECTRIC cars, so that post their traumatic experience the company improves and after 5 to 6 years I can get an electric at an affordable price with all the improvements. Please spend your hard earned money on such cheap quality rusted cars, so that I can get a good car later on 😊
I've Tata Tiago EV long Range since 5 months. Drove around 15000 kms. Gives Range between 180-220kms easily at normal driving speed i.e. 80kmph. No problem as of now. Mostly charged at home charger .
I have just started watching this review and in the start itself I want to appreciate the dedication to the passion you have Gagan. I am considering this a challenge you accepted from Tata that “Oh so are you barring me from reviewing Punch-ev? 😠. Here you take the review in full detail”. Without going into detail of this review video I want to congratulate you Gagan to win this challenge as an auto enthusiast against TATA. 🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅
Sir, I’m also from Jaipur, and my experience was completely different. They took the time to thoroughly explain how to maximize the range, including factors like lower range during summers, the impact of high speeds, and other related aspects. This is just my personal experience.
Dear Gagan, I had also the same issue of opening charging lid.when I checked,it was due to strings connected to the cap stucked at the lock area. It will be always goes to lock slot if you didn't carefully close the lid.
I was fortunate & lucky enough to choose my first car as MS ciaz. Which has been very reliable for the last 6 years. Service has been incredible. I want to go for a different brand as a change but after seeing issues with multiple car brands which I have not seen in my car I'm thinking of sticking with maruti.
Wo sahi hai paji system mai gas Jayda hona sa compressor cutoff Marta hai gas drain out karna ka bad ussa machine sa dala jata hai jissa issue solve ho jata hai
2020 nexon 50 k done no issues faced ...a squeaking noise was related to seat belt buckle was done with spray grease.... service experience was okay no issues
I too have the punch ev, i too have faced the gear knob not turning even if brake is pressed. When I complained the same to service centre. He told me that while we start the car brake should be pressed fully. I do that now and never ever faced the problem again. Try this once and let the audience know if it works
I think going to the same service center the second time as the first helps with the problem being understood more easily. And if we get the same service manager/ workshop manager it is a bonus.
Pretty much accurate review, I own an Punch empowered Ev Lr since aug-24, hats off to your skill set at actually going to the minuscule detail and explaining that any layman can understand. All the cons you said are pretty accurate except the Drive Shifter, great and sincere insight Good Work Sir, btw I am from Jaipur.
I feel like no Tata vehicle pass through QC. My niggles on my Honda city now feel like nothing, only problem I had it with was a rear brake needing adjustment.

I don't know how Gagan is so calm.... I am freaking outraged with this experience!
yeah he is so popular he can do so much to the brand
He is calm because he has money any day he could buy another ev we don't

Big salute to all the Tata owners for dealing with such products on a daily basis.

Rational comment dimag ka use wahh. Abhi fanbois aa rahe hai 😅
Well said brother👍
Tata ke toxic fanboys ko actually tata own krke dekhni chahaiye tab unko problems pta chalengi.
This comes from a Tata owner. What you're saying is absolutely correct.
Bhai mera maruti 800 hi sahi hai.. itne nakhre nahi chahiye mujhe.. 50 degree temp pe v maruti 800 ka AC tanatan kaam krta h😂😂
Maruti 800 mai ac chala k drive kr lete ho waahhh bhai ........ Maine to AC utarwa k 17 saal chalai thi just last year 2023 mai scrape krni padi 20 saal pure ho gye the
The level of calmness within you with these many problems in car. hats off to you 😅😅
Gagan bhai the gear selecter issue is not because of hydraulic pressure but because of a faulty break switch below the pedal.
Engineer to engineer howe hai
You mean brake?
bhai abhi TATA ismein kya karegi ? Woh switch hai Mindarika company ka.... Aur japanese technology se bana hai... particular lot mein issue ho sakta hai...
People should appreciate Gagan bhai, even though he truly knew what he was getting into and what he will face he did it. That too without being some fancy influencer who makes fake threats against manufacturers

Bhaiya, please bring a cartalaap video and address the following issues of EV cars:
* Resale value of EV cars
* Long-term viability of EVs
* Charging infrastructure availability
*Battery degradation and replacement costs
*EV suitability in Rajasthan's high temperatures (50°C)
*AC performance in summer
*Temperature impact on range
*Range anxiety ( claimed mileage vs real world mileage )
*Company performance and which company is doing good in ev market future prospects (Tata, MG, Mahindra)
*Apart from tata punch serivce your real thoughts on ev cars would you prefer another ev in future or prefer other fuel cars you mention in the video that i'll calculate and figure out the running cost of petrol diesel cars
I'm from Sikar, Rajasthan, and my family is considering purchasing a Nexon EV.
Assuming doing a one day trip from sikar to jaipur 125 km ( going distance ) 125 km ( coming back distance ) and 50 km ( within jaipur city )
125 + 125 + 50 = 300 km
Assuming we dont have second car and considering ev as a primary vehicle will it make sense or not please tell bhaiya
Waiting for your like and comment😂😂 @Gagan Chaudhary

Kudos Gagan for doing great service for your audience. Buying a glitchy product knowingly just ti test it out and bring fair and just information 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
For rust issues,
Use cavity wax spray inside those door nooks, on screws n bolts use wd40 or as a precautionary spray clear coat.
For boot not closing, loosen the screws and pull the latch backwards,
Suspension & isofix latch & rear seat belt buckle not moving freely are actual flaws,
Service centre guys are absolute gawar in your case.
They flash your infotainment system with harrier or nexon's software and it leads to issues.
Charging extra as warranty lapse is a new,
They said its completely new platform which is a lie, they just moved the charging port to front side and calling it as new platform,
Rear seat has bump in the middle, not flat floor as they mentioned.
Even rear left wheel arch still has space for fuel filling neck, assembly line isn't working properly,
They are not tucking wires inside clips which leads to rattling noise when driven on stone paved roads, top roofline doesn't comes with any dampening in rain it makes alot of noise.
Even though they use same headlight as nexon they use different power control module which reduces the brightness,
Price reduction is definitely throne in ash movement, atleast they should provide lifetime warranty for battery to compensate(which is not going to happen)
Tata using the same ICE derived platform should be highlighted more.
Even the Curvv which they are touting as a new ATLAS architecture is not a new one just slightly extended Nexon platform(which is abt 15 years old)
So basically, don't bother buying a tata🚶🏻♂️
@prithviraj.r5734 service centres are not directly controlled by companies be it tata, mahindra, hyundai, samsung, LG.

Jiska mujhe, tha intezar, wo video aa gai, aa gai
Well bcz he mentioned in his buying video that I want to experience the TATA’s after sale service and obviously then only give a proper review about it
Gagan bhai main apki videos last 8 years se dekh raha hai
Jo apne baate btai hai vo ek dum sach hai, service center walo ko pta hi nhi hota ki problem kaise fix hoti hai vo bas apki bato ko ignore karke bas normal service karke car wapis de dete hai, main kia sonet own karta hu, meri car ke door se sound ati hai jab bass increase karta hu, unhone isko fix karne ke liye waha double side tape laga di 😂😂

1- front right shocker same noise
2- all hazard lights on for some when the vehicle jump into any bad road

Very true, have two tata cars and the main irritation is that service centers dont understand the problem, they just act ignorant to problem and never consider that these cars are important for owners. They just casually handle cars and most of time during delivery their is some new problem which did not exist when it was given to them.
My God I can't express how happy I'm that I chose brezza over Nexon 😊

Nop. Due to rusting the paint peels off. My Nexon has the same issues.
Huge fan of you, I watch all of your vlogs, I own new nexon facelift, the problems you mentioned with service center are absolutely right, they don’t have proper knowledge of the cars, they don’t even know that few features exists in the car until customer tells them.
