This legit has a better story than the tv show💀
Fr
Yes I love this one more then the TV show even though this also has a few mistakes
Legit 😂😂
I remember watching this as a younger kid because I was obsessed with halo and this brings back nostalgic memories.
Eh and now I know more about halo it makes me cringe
wow great
Same thing for me
Lyrical Lol that’s why I came back ;)
Ikr this was just in my recommended
This have more soul and effort put into it than a multi-billion dollar company can
When the kid picks up a helmet that easily weighs as much as him-
Thanks for watching everyone, really loving all the feedback. Can't believe we've surpassed 300,000 views. Glad your enjoying it
And we still are
6,612,478 views now.
The dad probably got head slapped by a grunt
Lol
I’m very surprised they used an AR Rifle in the simulation.
That fire arm is about 300 to 400 century’s old. If my calculations if correct.
Are you saying its called a assault rifle rifle?
Y mean 3 to 4 centuries and 300 to 400 years I asume?
It’s 300 and 400 not 3000 and 4000
Ar doesn’t stand for assault rifle
It was a tipmann paintball gun based on the M16 platform.
I mean, points for effort. So many points for effort. There’s a lot of issues both in terms of craft and halo lore, but I’m giving them the credit they deserve. You guys tried, and I applaud you for that.
This has so many lore inconsistencies, interesting story though. Would be better if the father was an ODST, not a spartan
Didn't think Spartans could reproduce
Yeah, I don't think they can
Crystonian ___ They can. One started their own family.
@@kimjongun1348 Wait when, and what story. Cause now that would be something to read
Crystonian ___ well in the movie nightfall agent lock team has a retired spartan that has a daughter
Spartan's have never been recalled, in fact the exsistance of Spartans was kept under wraps for a very long time, including how they were trained and taken from their families as children. Also in the beginnin their were photos of Spartans, due to the fact that whenever they go into combat their work is usually classified, even if not, photo's of Spartans were not allowed to be taken. And further fucking more, the fucking guy has his Spartan armor at his house, they weren't allowed to bring ONI or UNSC gear home.
Natertot Don't think they even had homes
Matty Savage No you're right. They didn't even have homes
Natertot Did you even see my comment?
Spartans
Natertot I made a wooden halo assault rifle and I nearly cut my thumb off but the end result was worth it and it is part of my halo display and you are very good and memories from halo and that is another trade of your personality i love halo 😊
Kind of look like the "starship troopers"
Although I personally think it could have used some improvements (such as more plasma/gunfire effects, maybe even people in Covenant costumes or just inserted models like the Banshees and the Cruiser) this was really excellent.
Here"s my question: How tf is that kid holding a Spartan's helmet, that shit's 1000 pounds.
Generic sooooo. True...
the whole suit is a 1000 pounds
@@damienguzman141 yea thats right
You can be a fucking bodybuilder with that
Isn’t the helmet 30-40 pounds?
I'm still trying to figure out why the "Spartan" was all geared up in his home? Seriously peoole, that gear requires 4 or 5 technicians and hydraulic machines to put on. And there's the fact that they think the UNSC let alone ONI would let this dude just bring home the most sophisticated suit of armor ever made and chill with it in his house
Yea
Ikr, peoole these days.
+roman498 fuck you
+Giorgos Fanourakis ahh little butt hurt boy go cry to ur mama
>Implying an SII would have their own house
6:58 he shot the spartan to death and the announcer was like betrayal
THAT WAS SO COOL!!!!!
This was pretty nice for a short budget such as yours! :D
the guy that was going to help him had a nerf deploy panted black
the turret was a nerf gun too
im 20 rn, as a kid being super into halo , used to watch this video over and over, pure memories
Ohhhhh!feel the pain!of the dad
w0w I didn't know they still had m16's centuries from today
+Russian Dude It was an M4, but close to M16's
Jack Muston yeah lmao XD
Unsc had a budget cut? 101
6:44 anybody wondering what the hell is that?
The Spartan I’m guessing.
Probably a elite or a brute
some big alien boi
I think you should have way more than 4K subs
Wow how original :-) dude great job I c big things in you're future
Gotta give you props for trying :)
Even though it was on a short budget, it is pretty decent. Good job.
Ami. Megusto:-)
?
06:59 didnt know they had foam fligeing action on those battlefields!
Apart from the halo universe storyline errors like Spartans having a family or that his dad was in full combat suit AT HOME, the movie is excellent. Brilliant piece of movie making. The effects especially. And all this being done on a meagre budget.. hats off..
where did he get that pelican toy I want that pelican
Camela de idiamo
Chido reaparece el jefe maestro
Same! any one in 2019
I think he make the pelican toy
There's a thing called EBAY!!!
If you act like it has nothing to do with Halo and is just some space war, it's actually enjoyable
It's got guns aliens spartans and marines of course it's Halo
OverbyNetworks your right but it had the halo guns
@@fathifhied2843 If you act
I remember watching this and thought it was the coolest thing and I’m glad I did I will forever love this
12 years and this is still the best video ever I have seen for halo
As far is i could remember ervry thing inside of me
He was a 3 I think because raising a 6 year old to be a spartan took too long usually,so instead they were probably volunteers. That explains the spartan having a family
atomicrobin []That One Guy The Shitty Profile[] spartan 3 the kid was and the dad is a ODST I feel
Really cool shortfilm. Great lighting, cinematography, editing (vfx/sfx) and overal story
10 years later AND I STILL LOVE THIS!
Can't help but notice that there was a AR-15 in one of the scenes, but otherwise a good short film
Really
Yep.
8:06 thats a nerf gun too
I mean 6:59
why are they using M16 they're not even in Halo
I remember me watching this video so long ago and now that I watched it again i got so much nostalgia from it
I have a problem with the muzzle flash no weapon being used makes that bug of a flash.
its bad editing
Who cares
Why would they still use newspapers? Isn't it supposed to be 2553 or something
Yeah I know right?!
probably they got newspaper because the newspaper early the first covenant attack and maybe the newspaper are for ancients or,why im triying to solve the question?

Yeah it is
Juandavid567 like
Which one? You mean the heavy machine gun? Because I was scrolling the comments looking if someone noticed it.
Juandavid567 ♥♡
Almost all the guns are nerf
Spartans never die, they just go missing in action.
good job unless any other friky like me been a sucker by commenting this video! you made something cool. Congratz, really good job!
When the kid was playing with the toy I cringed
Griffin Eloriaga if that’s all that made you cringe, I salute you.
Spartan Johnathan Andrews yeah
you can see the britsh flag on the cameo vest.
Yeah I noticed that as well.
joejoe 57 I was just about to say that
The British run the UNSC
I'm surprised that my man hasn't gotten 1 mil views this is so nostalgic
Are you stupid it has like 7 mil views
Great story! With better equipment, some covenant appearance (via animation), and some more people this would be awesome!
at exactly 5:25 the dude has a union jack on :P

8 years ago I watched this and now I am 16, this is so nostalgic
First things first; kudos for choosing Halo as your subject matter and pulling off a movie on a tiny budget. The criticisms I was going to put forward were rendered void when I read that this was a uni project on a low budget. Had this been a serious venture I'd have laughed at what I'd just watched, but credit where it's due.
51mm rounds. . . usually you would specify the diameter of the bullet, not the length. That would be a 2 inch wide bullet.
I think he means 7.62x51mm which is what the assault rifle in Halo is chambered in. BTW the 51mm is the length of the casing while 7.62 is the diameter (.30 Cal or about 3 inches)
I knew what he meant as I said you would specify the diameter, not the length. Now that I read my comment again I see how you could be confused as to what I said. What you said is what I meant. I was sarcastically saying how what the guy in the film said that the bullet was 51mm, while in real life you would say 7.62x51mm or just simply 7.62.
Oh I didn't see that sorry.
No big deal. :D
I do have one thing to say, it was really stupid for them to say 51mm as its something you can google and understand in seconds.
Apparently all Spartans in this sector are all British... hu

Haha that paintball gun and the nerf gun at the end had me rolling.
soo cool keep it up man when he was about to die that was awsom
4:00 why are they all wearing yoga pants
😆
this may have not been the best, but they did a good job with what they had, and I respect that, it wasn't bad for a low budget fan film, but I would have liked to seen better lore alignment.
This mini-movie is so cool!
Man still fucking great even years later hoorah
Wow good work on the gear

I thought this was excellent. I liked the cinematography and concept behind it. And I'm sure if you guys had the same budget as Halo's live action trailers, the quality would've been better. All in all this a great short film involving my favorite game of all time. Nice work.
The costume design here is pretty damn good for a fan film
Everyone keep saying it’s a nerf gun and it’s annoying meh😂

Notice how the kid picks up a helmet that's part of a 1000 pound armor suit.

at 5:20 that guy has a black painted nerf minigun!!
Arkraptor Gaming it's airsoft
it's not airsoft because i have a minigun like that plus if its a airsoft gun then why does it have bolt action on the far sides of it??
Good eye
Went from using futuristic weapons, to using m16 looking paintball guns XD
First i want to say spartans are a family to their other spartans, next spartans never die, they are reported missing in action, no funerals are held ever for them.
Yeah
wth? okay, these guys have the transportation, the props, the crew, the tech, the gear, the cameras, they have all the essentials. i always make my movies on a very low budget, but hell, i can make a much better video. dunno why this has over 1.6 million views... i dont have a crew, i dont have transportation, i have barely any props, i have a bit of gear, and i have an old cannon elura 100. i made my own stabilizer rig for my camera outta pvc and small weights, i make my own props, and i use old air soft guns. im using *iMovie 6*. do u know how bad that is? give me iMovie 11 and a new mac and i bet u i can make a better movie than this... o yea, and dont forget the makeup artist...
Let's see it then!
And why would the father be in a 21st century house in his full armor suit and why are they m4a1s for training that's like training today with a musket

Foam FLINGING TOYS
lol Spartans family is there Spartan trainers in Orion 2 also known as Spartan 2 watch the fall of reach dude
THIS AWSOME ILL WATCH IT IN TELL IM DEAD I MEAN IT
i fucking lost it when his dad walked in his room dressed in in his Mjolnir armor, like he just had it chillin in his closet until it was time to use it again. I like to think when his dad walked outside to get in his car to drive off that he had a cup of coffee and had to pull the trash around, then proceeded to get in his car which is an 80s hatchback and waving to his neighbor who just walked outside to get the morning paper

Cuz SIIs are dads that keep their million dollar armor pieces in their kids bedrooms....sorry I had to...just doesn't make sense..
OMG I’m 15 now and I remember watching this when I was younger memory’s bro
1:19 does he seriously have to put on his helmet before he even leaves the house!?!?!
So this kid's Spartan dad goes off to war when the Covenant attack. Then the kid's father died and they have a funeral for him (Spartans never die?). Then the kid joins a UNSC military academy and he trains with what appears to be Tippman paintball guns. Then he is saved during combat by a Spartan who's voice sounds like he's calling to demand ransom money...... Where do I begin with this? :P
Honestly though, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this video. Cheezy effects and all. :P
You ever played or watched some guy play Halo Reach? Well most of the the Spartans in Noble Team died but were designated MIA (Missing in action). Every dead spartan is listed as MIA not KIA (Killed in action) to uphold the tradition of "Spartans Never Die" and the rest of that line is "They're just missing in action"
The reason why they listed Spartans IIs as MIA was to uphold moral. By listing them as MIA instead of KIA, officially no Spartan IIs ever died. It was to give a mystique of invincibility to them to inspire the other marines.
By having a funeral for a dead Spartan, it makes the whole MIA thing pointless. A Spartan II would never receive a funeral. :P
Yes in the halo book the saying spartans never die was to boost morale becuase humansvwere losing the war
If he was a Spartan-IV, then he would have been able to see his family and have a funeral. I guess you're right that Spartan-IIs and Spartan-IIIs wouldn't have one. Spartan-IVs were volunteers so they would have had a funeral and could have seen their family.
Spartan IIIs weren't taken from there parents because most of them were from harvest after it was glassed and there parents were killed
spartans would be kidnapped and they dont have a family sooooo.......but further it was great
***** they´ve tried, but the sheer force of the suit needed a super human user in order to not get killed by it
only spartan II's were kidnapped the others were just volunteers
Smiley Smurf volunteers? i know your correct but i dont know why anyone would volunteer for an expirement that has a 70% risk of them dying. but i guess people arent gonna be sissies in the future. they fight for honor
the spartan 4's were volunteers but the spartan 2's were kidnapped at the age of 4
not to diss you or sumthing but it was at the age of 6 :3
That is so cool that is like put on the Halo Chief mod that is so awesome
This was way better in my memories lol
2019??

That spartan runs painfully slow O_o
Hum Spartans are wearing heavy metal armour so run slow dumass
Amassing suits and you made them yourself fantastic
That was really good!
