I watched the movie the Encounter and was blessed. I am studying the book of Matthew and the movie and this video are exactly what I needed to know how much God cares. Thank God for your obedience. I long to have the heart of compassion and the Holy Spirit in my life. I will follow Jesus.

I haven’t seen Bruce in years. Would love to have known he as so close to where I live; I would have moved mountains to have been there.

In his eyes, Bruce expresses humility, meekness, love and all the attributes of Jesus. However, I would have loved to see Jesus in longer hair. The director of this film should have considered the Jewish culture - Jesus would not have had hair at the nape of his neck nor would it have been layered!
When I watched 'Jesus of Nazereth', I was petrified!Jesus was portrayed as a strict and serious - distant person!
I believe Jesus would have been serious in some instances, but there would have been times when He would have connected in a brotherly manner, and this is what I liked in the personality of 'Jesus' that I saw in this movie!
I was truly impacted when Bruce spoke on how Jesus hurts, 'over and over again', for each one of us... like a parent desperately caring for a child that's about to go astray. It just never struck me before...
In another video Bruce speaks on how Jesus always used His powers to 'give away' never for Himself (referring to the feeding of the multitude) and yet for His own food He would send His disciples to go out to buy food.
The way Bruce portrays the attributes of Jesus are compelling - he touches the core of my soul. God bless him!
Its a shame for a Jewish man to have long hair. Paul speaks about this in 1 Corinthians 11:14 so Jesus would not have had long hair. I think his length of hair in the movie was just about right.
