I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!
I had a similar experience at age 23. I’m now 44. I’m trying to write a book about everything God has taught me since then. Neither my wife or I go to church, but God miraculously brought us together. Lots of tough lessons, but I love being loved by God. Hope you are doing well!

I understand kn rt where you are...I have been there before. You can't make any decisions for your spouse, but you can for yourself. Confess your sins to the Lord where you know you have wronged Him and your spouse. Ask Him to forgive you...He says He WILL in 1 John 1: 9 and then stay close to Him in prayer, asking Jesus what He wants you to do...Try to reconcile with your spouse by letting them know your wrongs and ask for forgiveness. It they deny you then walk away and make your life Jesus Christ. [In 1994 I came home from a Tuesday men's bible study/prayer evening to find that my wife had taken all her things and left. As I looked around the house I could not find one thing that was hers. I really knew this was it and we would never get back to together because of her hardened heart. I said to the Lord....I guess it it just YOU and Me from now on...It was and for the next 10 years I made Jesus the love of my life and grew in the Lord until the Lord led me to another woman, who I am with today...We will celebrate 16 years this Feb. 5th, 2021. Billy Graham led many to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Everything he preached lined up with scripture.and what the bible teaches. A false prophet goes against what the bible teaches yet, could be in the ministry. For example...a Raphael Warnock in Georgia. A pastor who supports abortion. I am touched with the teaching and I want Jesus To renew my life. I was Christian but I did not live for Jesus and I didn't Submit my self to Him. Today I want to live the life That Jesus expects from me. Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus I want you to pray for me to endure and live for Jesus.

In the 70's, a dear friend of mine, thought she was ok with God, yet ran away from her marriage. I ran into her some 40 years later and she told me that It was not until she heard Billy Graham preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, did she fully accept Christ as LORD in her life. She was an amazing witness to her family in those later years. Even though it had been 40 years gone by, We had many great times in conversation together , up until she passed away of heart failure a few years ago. . Her family had me conduct her funeral and memorial service. . I presented the gospel that changed her life decades before. That lady whose funeral I conducted was once my wife so many years before.

I came to Jesus Christ in December 1985. In 1987 my wife and I were (help) staff members through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc., in the Tacoma Dome WA. State to help those people who wanted to give their lives to Christ, Scripture brochures to read and make a decision. We would pray with them as they accepted Christ as their personal savior. What a great evening it was to see so many people come to Christ.

I am here. November 14 2024....... Thank god i am because i didnt want to be alive back in April. 🙏
I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

Confess your sins to the Lord where you know you have wronged Him and your spouse. Ask Him to forgive you...He says He WILL in 1 John 1: 9 and then stay close to Him in prayer, asking Jesus what He wants you to do...Try to reconcile with your spouse by letting them know your wrongs and ask for forgiveness. As I looked around the house I could not find one thing that was hers. I really knew this was it and we would never get back to together because of her hardened heart. So far, it seems like this fallen angel guy is a lot better fighter and more able to influence the world than Yahweh can.
How come God is so weak and inattentive when it comes to all of this earth stuff?
Man --- if I was a God --- I would just create things correctly the first time, gain respect from my creations, and beat up any devils who mess with my plans - simple.
However --- I guess God is currently injured.

In the 70's, a dear friend of mine, thought she was ok with God, yet ran away from her marriage. I ran into her some 40 years later and she told me that It was not until she heard Billy Graham preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, did she fully accept Christ as LORD in her life. She was an amazing witness to her family in those later years. Even though it had been 40 years gone by, We had many great times in conversation together , up until she passed away of heart failure a few years ago. . Her family had me conduct her funeral and memorial service. . I presented the gospel that changed her life decades before. That lady whose funeral I conducted was once my wife so many years before.

I came to Jesus Christ in December 1985. In 1987 my wife and I were (help) staff members through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc., in the Tacoma Dome WA. State to help those people who wanted to give their lives to Christ, Scripture brochures to read and make a decision. We would pray with them as they accepted Christ as their personal savior. What a great evening it was to see so many people come to Christ.

I agree. I remember I could never feel at ease when I was clubbing. I always felt out of place. I could not enjoy myself until I got drunk. If this sounds like you, don't fight it any longer just give your life to Christ. Repent, and give your life to Christ today. When I was young I watched Billy Graham and when he plays his song " JUST AS I AM " i walked up to my preacher in church and I told him I excepted Jesus in my heart and I was Baptized , I'm so glad I can listen to Billy Graham talking , his voice is so soothing to the Soul
