"Memorial Day Service, Zion, IL. May 27th, 2024"

On May 27th, 2024, I was able to capture the Memoral Day Service at Veterans Memorial Park, which is located at
Sheridan Road & 25th Street in Zion llinois. l got there in time to just in time to capture the Pledge of Allegiance, and
the Service. The Star-Spangled Banner & music were provided by The Lakes Area Swing Band, Michael Unti, Director.
The Pledge of Allegiance & Invocation was by Gary Lloyd, USMC Post 865 Chaplain. Proclamation was by Mayor Billy,
Pledge of Allegiance Address was by
McKinney, City of Zion. Memorial Address was by Kathy Penich-Gatross, Gold Star Mother. Armed Forces Medley was
By The Lakes Area Swing Band. POW-MIA Remembrance was by CDR Kenneth Endress CEC, USN (Retired) Roll Call Of
Honor was by CAPT James Duncan SC, USA (Retired) Placing Of Wreaths, Family of Chief Aviation Pilot Solberg, Kathy
Renich-Gawoss, and Taps was played by Ed Matteson SAL & Nathan Stalter. Special Thanks To: The Lakes Area Swing
