Got a Saz Baglama just today and while tuning broke the bottom string, was horribly dejected but it had come with extra strings, and after watching this video I got it back in working order. Super helpful, thanks!
Thanks for this video! I just got my replacement strings for my saz a couple days ago and am giving re-stringing a go! I’m looking forward to more videos 🤘🏼

Cool. Thanks! I just changed my cura strings. I can't get original strings on this country so I'm using electric guitar strings haha so far it's working fine with E .011"
sure, here are for short neck, same seller has long neck just look "Uzun Sap teli" for those... www.ebay.de/itm/10-Mizrap-SKY-Teli-Baglama-Saz-Tel-Tezene-Kisa-Sap-Mirzrap/392234826349?hash=item5b53047a6d:g:eI4AAOSw~6hcXxbf
Good question, I don't believe I have ever seen a left handed Baglama, but are you sure you need one? A lot of left handed people still play a right handed guitar, it's pretty difficult to determine for an absolute beginner though
changing one to left handed, would not really work, because you would have to reverse the string nut and then the tuning pegs would not align properly, probably easier to just plasy it upside down if you truly must play left handed or contact a maker in Turkey to have a left handed model made if you can't find one.
if the strings are made for Baglama, then sure. I would not use guitar strings though if that's what you mean, tension could be too high and damage the instrument.
Has anybody had an issue where a tuning peg doesn't stay in place? When I try to retune my baglama, the peg wants to rotate a bit and it won't stay in tune.
If you have a baglama with guitar style tuning pegs, see this video here: ua-cam.com/video/wls0gdgNRXA/v-deo.html
im a guitarist as well and super glad to find your channel since i’m considering getting a saz!! probably a cura

Hello, i want to buy saz. But i am left handed, but can i change it from right to left?

Thanks for the video!! ..also, what was the (ethnic) music playing throughout the video? Sounds very cool!
Thanks, that's my own solo project called "Akrabu" you can find it on bandcamp and some songs on youtube.
On that saz can you use ball end strings on it?
if the strings are made for Baglama, then sure. I would not use guitar strings though if that's what you mean, tension could be too high and damage the instrument.

try removing the peg and rubbing some wax on it, it will help it from slipping
@@Guitar101Ramstein I'll give it a try. Will any kind of wax do the trick?
@@talongodin2253 candle wax should work, or beeswax or even violin bow rosin if you have some.
When tuning the instrument press the peg downwards and it will set it in place.
