BMW F31 335D ZF Gearbox Service

Replacing transmission oil filter and oil with a ZF kit.
Replacment Procedure -
1. Undo undertray and loosen oil fill plug using 8mm hex alan.
2. Undo sump drain plug using 10mm hex Alan.
3. Once oil has drained, loosen all T40 Torx screws.
4. Remove sump and clean valve body/ matting surface.
5. Install new sump with new aluminium screws, follow tightening/Torque sequence supplied by ZF.
6. Fill aprox 3l of oil, start engine and shift into all gears. let engine idle and rev to 2000rpm.
7. Allow gearbox to warm upto 30-40 degrees and open oil filler plug to add more oil untill it seeps out slowly.
8. Allow gearbox to warm up and then check for leaks.

Oil Fill Plug - 35nm
Oil Drain Plug - 8nm
Aluminium Screws - 4nm + 45 °
