I could be wrong but I believe I heard the ford has a torque management system that doesn't allow you access all it's power on demand like it would with a tune. Anyone know anything about that?
Ford does limit (or manage as they say) the amount of torque you have access to in the first 3 gears. They say it's to prevent you from losing rear wheel traction and probably helps to save the drivetrain. How much it's limited I don't know.
This guy did it on his race tune. My RAce tune limits torque when it feels it has something heavy on it. Tow tune usually gives you more torque bottom end. Maybe it would’ve done a little better
For sure. But could maybe be a comparisons of older vs newer, and that you don’t need a brand new pickup to get the same performance, buy an older one and tune it

Ram 2500 with a 68rfe is detune and have weaker trans stock. If you get into at least srw 3500 you can get the higher output cummins with aisin Trans then can pull heavy loads every day like the guys from V Belt and SON and PD diesel youtube channel. Fully loaded 26 ish thousand
Stiff confused or missing something the ford is stock? Cummins is tuned and deleted? Why not stock on stock or tuned on tuned?
Yeah just what we have. Ford still has warranty so can’t do anything to it yet. Just wanted to see if 5 years of innovation makes any difference
Cummins tuned. Required to pull anywhere close to Ford.
@@slimlight5786 😂😂😂
A tune make a huge difference
I'm a 100% ford guy myself & hate Ram but as he said he bought a Cummings not a Dodge, but you can't beat the sound of a Cummings.
They sound good
I've had less problems with my ram than I did the last 3 ford's I had.
Lol ‘Cummings’
they doo..but then again, i love/hate the noise diesel makes..when i hear an electric car pass by, baby quiet 🤫
@@d0uble_O
Just don't get used to electric cars, not much longer & they'll be gone.
Aluminum body on the ford steel body on the Cummins. Cummins all the way
Would not have guessed it based on your profile pic… lol 😆
12v too, they undermind the old reliable trucks. The ones that are easy tough and tougher
Both Pickups are awesome, but probably not a good comparison when one is tuned and the other one isn't.
For sure. But could maybe be a comparisons of older vs newer, and that you don’t need a brand new pickup to get the same performance, buy an older one and tune it
@@mannfamilyfarms381tune that ford with the same hp tune even a dodge equal to the year and their would be no comparison. I have a 08 6.7 Cummins with tons if upgrades and a tuned 6.7 powerstroke will walk away.
@madisonkeller4628 so your saying that equal year and tune, the ford wins, is it because of the v engine vs inline?
Do the dodges still have transmission problems ?
I’m sure… lol 😂
It's best to get the aisin trans in ram 3500 ,4500,5500 trucks they are just as good as Alison if not better. They also have more power then the one with 68rfe.Them hotshoters run them.
Never say take it with a grain of salt. Let the salty flow. 😂
2007 dodge megacab 5.9 with 428,000 miles with factory motor never been touched except powersteering pump and alternator. Still have factory injectors. Find me any 2010 or newer diesels that can say that.
i dont think that bale punch is getting enough love.
Right!
I know who has a duramax we could put to the test!
Let’s do it!
We have had all of them and we have a turned up cummins and it's a animal that's for sure my son has it turned up with a 6 speed manual and it will light the road on fire yet gets better mileage then our Def regulations 2020 f350 with a 6.7 she averages 13mpg without a trailer and 12 with it. I don't know what the billy goat gets now because of the tires and we have seen it get 22 mpg along time ago but I still know it's beats out our ford all day long
Don’t believe you
My gmc would have competed but you’d have to wait on me lol
😂😂😂
Ford powerstroke all the way!!!! 6.7 are great engines . Get the old 7.3 obs flatbed out there !!!
😂😂😂 lot of memories in the 7.3. Not ready to give it up yet
I like a 7.3 but it doesn't compare to the 6.7 on either platform
Cyber truck with a beat all of them 😅😅hands down
For sure 😂
But it would’ve looked gay these trucks look good actually
Of course the Cummins is faster to 60… in-line engines Produce to work at a lower rate of rpm
Driving that 68rfe like that it won't last long should've bought the high output with the aisin
howdy howdy great videos
Thank you!
You should start with: "Boys and the 3 girls......."
6 in a row ready to tow
Delete the 6.7 powerstroke . They sound and perform very well
It will be as soon as any warranty is off 👍🏼
I've owed both trucks and the dodge would pull hills good if it didn't down shift and then up shift all the time
Yeah it was doing phenomenal when pulling the hills in 5th
Manual for the win
Where was the comparison.
Well I can't hate on Ford but if it makes you happy... Iowa State SUCKS!!! Seriously though I bet allot of the difference comes in the delete and exhaust. That is a sweet looking Ram.
Lol great now we’re bashing football teams 😂

The Chevy would’ve won 😱😱😁😁
Well the 1/2 ton couldn’t even hook up 🤷🏼♂️
Best fucking test video i have seen.
Raw test, no BS… sorry the Ford wasn’t “tuned” to show true apples to apples but hey gives you an idea.
Looked to me like Luke brake boosted the Cummins a lot more than you did the Powerstroke
No brake boosting to speak of basis breaker 😂
Where i work we use Cummins and I'm lucky to get 7.0mpg, stock to stock Ford will win I would take a Ford stock to stock , if I want to put more hp I would take the Cummins because its easier and cheaper to turn those up honestly
said 50 boost on the 2500 and then at 13:56 said +120 that’s crazy
472k on original 6.4 powerstroke just keep changing oil and filters and drive normal one owner truck.
😮💨😮💨 wow
Stock to Stock would be nice to see
Sorry to disappoint
Do the GMC to the Cummins
Looks like the Cummins driver is a better driver. Based on this video, Ford drivers are green and don't know any better!
Ram 2500 with a 68rfe is detune and have weaker trans stock. If you get into at least srw 3500 you can get the higher output cummins with aisin Trans then can pull heavy loads every day like the guys from V Belt and SON and PD diesel youtube channel. That's what's sucks about ram you can't get HO cummins and aisin Trans in 2500. But I guest they match power and trans to what trucks legally rated for.
On the other hand the 2500 models have smoother shifting trans.
Put a tuner on the Ford.
A tuned Cummins vs a stock Powerstroke… 6.7 Powerstroke deleted will walk that Cummins 7 days a week with a load😂
Fun is fun there are three beast trucks and they are made for different taste iam a powerstroke guy my brothers cummins but cummins is a great truck as duramax is and they have their goodies and power and if we all have to choose between these three beasts and a Japanese truck we wouldn’t even look at the Japanese so that was a great fan video
At the end of the day USA made best
Buddy has had 3 rams and owns two now. Nothing but tranny problems and Fuel problems.
I'll stick with Ford.
I like your thinking
08 RAM 4500 all the way with a manual
Beast
Now delete the ford and do it again to make it a fair test 😂
We will as soon as the warranty is off!
My vote is not falken at3w's with some slime present
Haha that was quite the day 😂
Hate to be that guy but my Prius could easily kick butt to that ram
I believe it
Stock to stock, Ford probably wins 0 - 60.
Well I’d hope so it has a 80 hp advantage
Wind noise drove me away.
So sorry
just goes to show that these trucks can handle more but the goverment ruins it like they do everything else
Tug of war plz

7.3 in the background
😂 she couldn’t hang with the big dogs
@@mannfamilyfarms381 you know what maybe she can't tow as much maybe she doesn't have heated and cooled seats but she's always there and she always starts and she'll always be there ☺️

@@mannfamilyfarms381 that being said I still want a new 6.7 to go with her 🤪
Ford > Ram
Cummins > Powerstroke
Not a bad take
The ol 7.3 would’ve whooped em both, wouldn’t even be close… 😂
You’re not that guy
This guy gotta be joking
Stock vs stock nothing beats ford towing or racing but service and reliability has to go to dodge sorry can't say anything good about chevs
Dude the Cummins wins period tune or not it makes peak tq way lower than the V EIGHT ford. Also gloves of single wheel ram 1 ton with the HO makes 1045 lb ft tq STOCK. Fords are trash and you proved it ….. not to mention I work directly with ram/Cummins why do you think they don’t use v8 diesel engines in big rigs they’ree all inline 6’s and IN ORDER OTS cat Cummins and Detroit NO power stroke. Ford offered me 3 times the pay to take me from ram/Cummins to work on the power stroke. What’s that tell you? Fords are trash…. “GRAIN OF SALT” the ram didn’t even get into it 100% until it rolled out a ways first. I built a ram power wagon on a 1 ton chassis it’s still registered as a ram power wagon it makes 3900hp and just shy of 5k lb ft tq and no it’s no compound turbo. It’s a single turbo and a daily driver. I’m sponsored by ram, and they employed me to build that truck why do you think the ram rebel has lockers and a diesel? Yeah that’s me. Your welcome. But take it with a grain of salt LMFAO!!!!!!!
It ain’t that deep brother. Just for fun
Bro is mad cummins makes 40% less power ☠️☠️
Tuned vs not Is not a comparison lol
Oh definitely. Just what we had and though it would be fun. Could argue though the comparison is older tuned vs new stock.
@@mannfamilyfarms381 there’s more then just adding extra power. For instance in a rock ford. Full powers won’t open up till 4th hear I believe due to torque management
A souped up Dodge vs a stock Ford… really?
It’s what we got… lol
It’s just a tune calm down buddy😂only a 40hp difference
@@CustomCustomz That post was over 4 months ago. I’m calm :)
cummins knocking lol
every 6.7 knocks....
The problem is ford has moved passed the 6.7 they have the 7.3. While dodge continues to perfect the 6.7, so you Ned to do the first equivalent years of dodge and ford 6.7s
What??
ones tuned and deleted
Comparison of its own. Newer stock vs older tuned 🤷🏼♂️

Oh yes, dually would be nice
Drama queens. How do all your numbers compare to the engineers design criteria? Otherwise those numbers mean nothing. Try starting them at -50F in Alaska and you will have your answer.
Cummins MIGHT be a better engine buy you are not buying an engine you are buying a TRUCK, a system, and the Ford is a better system. Too bad CATERPILLAR never made an engine for a pickup.
Owning several acres we will stick with Ford.
Just a fun video. Nothing real serious
Ford was not stock I worked for ford motor company stock trucks don't roll coal sorry
Obviously. Just a fun test
I wouldn’t buy a Ram just because of the mirrors. Second ugliest, right behind Chevy/GMC.
Are you serious, the Cummins won??? C’mon man, tuned deleted Cummins against a stock Ford and you give it to the Cummins? Based on the results, whether you’re a Ford guy or not, you s/b fully impressed with the Ford. The fact it stayed even close to the “jacked up” Cummins shows how great the Powerstroke is.
