    I'm a ford guy, I got too crippled up for a newer rig and payments so kept my 95 F350 dually 7.3. Mileage is fair at ten to twelve, loaded and always in rough road terrain. I have the five speed, quad cab and its over the seven hundred mark with no repairs other than a starter or three. I live in alaska, winters are colder than a mother in laws kiss, it will start with out a plug in at twenty below and its worked in sixty five below many many months each year hauling mining equipment.. zero to sixty would be closer to a minute on some days and others will hold you to the seat covers... I pull a forty foot deck trailer loaded to around thirty thousand all the time... I even hauled a 140 volvo excavator on a lowboy set up behind it... they alone weigh thirty some thousand

    Great video 👍 I’m so use to guys comparing standard output Cummins to duramax and p strokes when Cummins has a economy version and a heavy tow version and they allways use a economy truck at 850ftlbs in there test instead of a ho at 1075 foot pounds wich is 25ft torque higher than ford

    First and foremost, FJB.
    Now, all three, Ford and Dodge and Chevy, make decent trucks. FOR ME....... I bought a new 2004 Ford F550 and it was a pure nightmare. They should make a movie; "Nightmare on Ford Street " where everybody drives a 6.0 and they kill each other at stop lights. I know, it wasn't Ford's total fault. Gotta give them that. Now, I have two Dodge Cummings (4500 &5500) just bliss. No doubt Ford makes good products.............now. I used to get all kinds of recalls on my Ford. I think I got one for my older Dodge. One of my friends has a Duramax.........but he's irrelevant to our discussion here. I think Ford has a better look......but if you want reliability fosho......Cummings is your best bet..... I think that they are the best engines on God's green FLAT EARTH. Oh shush. Only soyboys believe in a spinning ball. Soyboys also drive Toyotas and have identity issues. HURRAH......crush you like a beer can faggot. Drive my Dodge over your Toyota Prius. "Sorry officer, all I saw was a peace sign sticker, a coexist sticker and a Biden/Harris sticker. The next thing I knew the prius was under my truck", "Can I go now officer?". "Yah, but it looks like you went back and forth, back and forth". "Well officer.....what would you have done in my situation?". "Yah......you got a point there...."

      In my opinion. If you’re not worried about fuel mileage. I’d get a 3/4 ton gasser. Especially if you’ll be using it in the cold. With gas you never have to worry about gelling up and they start and warm up quicker when it’s cold. The ford 6.2 is a very capable engine for hauling what you need. The Chevy 6.0 and ram (hemi) 6.4 are comparable. I personally have a 2011 f250 with the 6.2 and it’s a great reliable motor with good power and comfortable truck. I think you could find one in your price range. As for ford don’t get any with the triton motors, they are Pre 2011 in 3/4 tons

      @williamcoon6854 5 місяців тому

      @domeniqiknash3193 gas usually doesn't last as long. Diesel will go hundreds of thousands of miles with proper maintenance. You have to change fuel filters every other oil change on Diesel so if your not mechanically inclined that would add up to a big extra cost. I think dealerships charge about 400 for a filter change.

    It had 40 more hp. So it was more fair of a matchup than stock vs stock. Because 370 is no where near 450 compared to 490. Plus if you’re doing something like this a Cummins will smoke anything you put it against when pulling something. The sole purpose of that truck was built for pulling loads. Sure the other two can pull well too but not on the level of a Cummins. Plus you compared a older gen to almost a brand new truck. Should’ve done a brand new fifth Gen and a new Powerstroke. But it was closer than I thought. I knew going into watching the Cummins would smoke it even at stock. I also prefer the Cummins over the other two as I’ve gotten older and more intent of looking at details on diesel trucks. They just do a lot more things better than Ford does. But no shame on any of the three trucks because honestly all three of them are very good and reliable trucks if used properly and not beat to crap.

    Ram 2500 with a 68rfe is detune and have weaker trans stock. If you get into at least srw 3500 you can get the higher output cummins with aisin Trans then can pull heavy loads every day like the guys from V Belt and SON and PD diesel youtube channel. That's what's sucks about ram you can't get HO cummins and aisin Trans in 2500. But I guest they match power and trans to what trucks legally rated for.
    On the other hand the 2500 models have smoother shifting trans.

    Dude the Cummins wins period tune or not it makes peak tq way lower than the V EIGHT ford. Also gloves of single wheel ram 1 ton with the HO makes 1045 lb ft tq STOCK. Fords are trash and you proved it ….. not to mention I work directly with ram/Cummins why do you think they don’t use v8 diesel engines in big rigs they’ree all inline 6’s and IN ORDER OTS cat Cummins and Detroit NO power stroke. Ford offered me 3 times the pay to take me from ram/Cummins to work on the power stroke. What’s that tell you? Fords are trash…. “GRAIN OF SALT” the ram didn’t even get into it 100% until it rolled out a ways first. I built a ram power wagon on a 1 ton chassis it’s still registered as a ram power wagon it makes 3900hp and just shy of 5k lb ft tq and no it’s no compound turbo. It’s a single turbo and a daily driver. I’m sponsored by ram, and they employed me to build that truck why do you think the ram rebel has lockers and a diesel? Yeah that’s me. Your welcome. But take it with a grain of salt LMFAO!!!!!!!
