- So about a month or two ago I was waiting in the lobby of my friend Sacha's apartment building, for my mom to pick me up, and I heard this guy singing. He was so good so I told him that he was amazing and he was super sweet and humble about it, and so I told him that I sing too and we talked about that kind of stuff for a while until my mom came and picked me up. Now, a month or two later, I was going to Sacha's apartment again for a graduation party, and as I was leaving, i insisted that he sing with me. Needless to say, he is absolutely incredible, and it just proves that you can find amazing things in unexpected places.

That's probably because they're too scared to reveal themselves. We live in a world full of great talent, we just need to be kind enough to coax the talented out of hiding.

Just yesterday, I was telling my son about a memory I have of his grandmother who died when he was 4.
My mom had a beautiful voice. We used to go to an old Shakey's Pizza joint in the late 70s because my mom loved the band that played on Saturday night. She requested her favorite Willie Nelson tune, "Blue Eye's Crying in the Rain", and the band leader invited her onstage to "help them out". They were kind of shocked when her pure sweet voice filled the room. It got really quiet, then Mom got a standing ovation! She was all bashful, and I was so proud of her. I'd give anything to hear her sing today.

This is one of the reasons I don't give excessive credit to the people they shove in my face over and over again...obviously trying to force them down my throat. There are exceptional singers everywhere, who will forever remain unknown.
