"Digging in the Dirt" (Peter Gabriel) featuring the Fender Bassbreaker 30r - clean tone test

I can't get this song out of my head. I've always wanted to do a cover of it, so I figured I'd do that AND highlight my new amp: the Fender Bassbreaker 30r. It's my new favorite. (Sorry Marshall DSL40cr - you're pretty great - but this one hits all the right frequencies AND it has 2 separate EQs. One for the clean and one for the crunch and extra gain channels. Marshall falls way short in that catagory with its 4 unbalanced channels all sharing the same single EQ. This particular Fender amp model is a literal plug in and go amp. Oh wait... I'm working on the review video for it. I'll save all that for the next video. This particular video focuses almost solely on the Bassbreaker's clean tones. I did activate my Wampler Tumnus Deluxe overdrive pedal, but only for the pre-chorus part. Everything else is straight up clean tone. I listed all the gear used at the end of the video. Let me say this - this is THE second product (aside from the Fender Special Edition Custom FMT guitar line) that Fender has gotten RIGHT. So right. In addition to that fat Fender clean tone, it'll run neck and neck with the Marshall DSL line in the rock guitar tone catagory... so there's that.
I did ~attempt~ to play bass (as close as I could to really really playing bass) to once again ~attempt~ to get as close as I could to capturing Tony Levin's untouchable bass playing. That guy is a master and a bass genius. (Him and Nathan East are my two favorites.) I'm using an Ibanez bass that I just recently purchased. I LOVE it!!
I wanted to thank Sweetwater Sound (and Mark Johnson) for everything. Aside from that, if you haven't checked out Peter Gabriel's musical works, DO IT!! Some of my favorites, beside this one, are Monster, Big Time, Solsbury Hill, Sledge Hammer, Red Rain, The Barry Williams Show, and too many to list here. You'll find Tony Levin (also of King Crimson and Liquid Tension Experiment) playing like a boss. So so good.
All that being said, I hope you enjoy the video. Hope I did it justice...

Thank you for the kind words. I figured 1. I love this song and have always wanted to do a version of it (live or video) and 2. Everybody always does shred videos, so why not change it up a little. :) I love (LOVE) the clean tone of this amp.
