God I love Lewis being an opportunistic bastard in these kind of games
The gas light Duncan episode
That laugh from Lewis was peak psycho.
Duncan and Rythian getting absolutely squeezed. They need that ocean to maintain the salt!
the sea is salty because duncan and rythian is fighting over it
Rythian made the classic mistake of overinvesting in power too early, so he spent a load of money to get nothing and had no income to defend himself later
They bring up Risk at the end, but I'd really like to see them try Diplomacy.
That's dangerous
Lewis: "But you don't have any upgrades!"
Duncan: "No..."
Lewis: "You're fcked, mate!"
Duncan: "Yes..."
xD
I would really like to see a yogs game of diplomacy, the amount of backstabbing would be beautiful.
Yes!
8:43 Rythian cowardice moment, scared of getting cut off when it can’t even happen in one turn, also if he had managed to take the city in Africa then a cut off wouldn’t even have killed the fleet
Daltos just straight up lying about America heh.Credit score still plays a huge key in loans and credit limits.
I think he was referring to the fact that for mortgages now it seems like credit utilization gets used heavily in conjunction with credit score. Or he was just speaking out his ass, lmao.
Credit utilization is an aspect of credit score.
@@lucsloan7509 basically what @nicksamek12 said, it definitely is a consideration, but credit utilization is a part of your credit score. carrying a balance month to month while paying it off is considered better than completely paying off your credit cards. well any debt really, because the banks make the rules, the loans, the credit cards, and well the bank part, they want you owing as much as possible while you can still pay an amount back. no credit utilization means they're not making interest off of you, too much with limited payments means they're not getting enough of a return. it's all mega messed up.
@@nicksamek12 that still means he was talking complete bullshit
@@Candlemancer did I refute this?
This is such a classic lewis.
At least from an uneducated view of the game, Rythian fell a bit into the Captain Passive trap which is a shame since I always support him in these games. He desperately needed more troops and didn't recruit any for a very long time. Fortunately he managed to play the diplomatic game to prevent a disaster. What I would hope he does next is launch an attack down through the Middle-East into Rambler, grabbing some western tiles from the AI along the way, but I suppose we shall have to see!
In most civ style games you generally don't want to spend resources on an army until you have to, but this game actually kicks that up a notch. You REALLY don't want an army until it's needed, 'cus the moment you start putting resources that way everything else suffers, so you better be prepared. 😆 Also the more troops you have the weaker each troop gets. Odd quirk of this game.
@@coregoon Yeah, that is a good point, but he was actively under attack and didn't raise troops.
That said, my lack of knowledge of the game comes through here since I was completely unaware of the quantity reducing quality mechanic. That completely changes the perspective of events!
Early armies can be good if you have a civ that is bad on flags(3 flags from an army might double certain civs flag per turns) but, it will only really work if you opponent is slow to get there own troops up, it is not defensive terrain, and you have a economic base to support the cost. So it is definitely possible to go early military but just like civ it is hard and a big risk. Also the AI is good but most because it just understand better what it take to fight a consistent war where lots a players are just wasting money shooting up in power then losing it next turn and not taking anything. For example they are about to take tiles but they spend all their money buying a new army and there military's strength plummets and they get nothing. Finally people spending extra on the same power level is so frustrating you just lose more money for no benefit. @@coregoon
Rythian has fucking TONS of units!!!
@@coregoon I don't know endless legends, civ beyond earth, civ 6 and a number more of them keeps close track of military for reasons. Endless legends you REALLY need armies and civ beyond earth and civ 6 vs any ai at prince or above will ruin your day if you don't have troops.
Also the easiest way to keep barbarians off your land hint hint ( rythian /duncan )
If you want to go further play warhammer 40k gladius which is a 4x game in 40k universe...aka no faction likes each other or are friends just out of convenience ( aka no trade od diplomacy AT ALL ). If anything happen would happily rip their innards out.....ye even within the imperium ( human factions alliance of sort but they happily shoot each other too)
Ever heard of " in the grim dark universe there is only war" welcome to 40k
No one investing in power waste reduction hurts my soul.
It's so expensive, and even at max efficiency you still have sizeable power decay.
So if you're reinvesting into more power every turn from money, then you don't really notice power wastage or feel a need to reduce it.
@@jamescarroll384 True but it really adds up over time. 35% reduction set your investment to 40% and the snowball is insane.
I feel like Lewis could have completed that quest if he had continued to purchase sea tiles as well as conquering them!
LISTEN TO RAMBLER, BRING HOI4 TO THE CHANNEL. Even if its just rambler and one other member as Alex tries to help teach the other.
Here's pulling for a Rambler win! I'm surprised they haven't been more aggressive against the AI this game.
Alex, what about a Games Night video of Axis & Allies when you're next in?
oooh i have A&A and i've never act played a game lol takes an hour to set up
@@baseballjustin5 First time is always the hardest to get going and longest playthrough.
Same for me with Fortress America. Hard to get others to play when you never have.
I'd love to see the yogs civ crew play diplomacy.
Wholesome salt. This is the way.
There is no such thing as credit score in europe.
lol rythian
Yes! play Risk!!
don't mind me playing EU4 listening to people make fun of EU4 😅
That's me too, halfway through a Commonwealth run.
Can you guys turn Daltos down? I can still hear his terrible voice and opinions.
this is boring.
find something else to do then
Negative, try again
@@nen1811 obviously i did. most of these kinds of games i enjoy, this one is just uninspired trash. ive seen more exciting text adventures.
Then watch something else
@megaflux7144 Bro just because you don't like a game doesn't mean it's bad lmfao
