I hope you enjoyed this update video! Do you think this means we'll be seeing a LEGO Deadpool next year, in a few years time, or not at all? Also please help us reach 10k subscribers!!
Honestly, yeah. I haven’t seen Deadpool and Wolverine yet, but I have a few ideas for sets; Blind Al’s apartment, maybe the plane from Deadpool 2 with minifigures of Peter and Domino, and a set with Francis and Deadpool with a few side builds. All of these sets would probably always be on backorder, though.
No they wouldn’t "make BANK". Let’s brake it down: a Deadpool polybag would retail for $7.95. That means the stores would be paying no more than $5, although it’d probably be more in the ballpark of $3.50. That means LEGO has to design, produce, package and ship it for less than that because they still have to make a profit. They’d also have to pay a licensing fee, leaving even less room for profit. Now I have no insight into how LEGO operates, but with what I’ve said so far I have a hard time imagining them making more than 50 cents per unit in profits for a polybag. So they would have to sell a whole lot of Deadpools in order to, as you put it, "make BANK". Like, sell 10 million to make 5.
Lego Fortnite is extremely inconsistent, Venom and Carnage are only usable in T rated modes (so not in Lego FN) but we ALL know how much Lego loves to put them in their sets.
I would estimate Disney doesn't want to promote Sony's spider films (I think Disney has all toy rights for all Marvel characters, but I could be wrong), but they did a spider-verse crossover and Disney owns fox now so idk
If we can get the Punisher as a minifigure, I don't think another Deadpool is out of the question. My only fear is they'll put him in an expensive set and keep him fairly inaccessible. I so regret not getting the chopper back in the day. At least it means LEGO Deadpool will always exist in some form.
Maybe if they put him in a set like the Lego Marvel logo, then it could have that 18+ marking like what they did with the punisher, and it could be a set just slightly less expensive then a modular (like a hundred dollar x men logo)
@@Theworldisscrewed let’s hope z Punisher and Daredevil get more minifigs in the future and that Lego gets over the fact that the character said “Fuck” once.

6:09 Fun fact, despite the perceived young player base Fortnite is officially rated T for teen, not E or E 10+ like most people think. This is probably why they can have popular adult characters like Michael Myers, Saw, & Deadpool along with the more goofy Fortnite original skins that appeal to a younger age demographic like Peely & Guff.
Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing are rated E. Fortnite Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale and Fortnite Festival are rated T. The modes have their own ratings. There are a handful of skins not allowed in the E-rated worlds, pretty much just Venom, Carnage, movie Venom, the Xenomorph from Aliens, the Demogorgon from Stranger Things and the new She-Venom and Agony skins. But neither version of Deadpool is on that E-only list, it's simply that Lego Fortnite doesn't have a Deadpool. Notably, DC has no Lego skins either, so it's likely a choice from Lego themselves. Even the new Gwenpool has a Lego Fortnite skin, which is amusing.
in the comics the X-Men want nothing to do with Deadpool and he was also a villain in the OG X-Men comics so yea they wouldn't want him in or near the X mansion.
I love how this special includes very obscure Marvel characters like Adam X. A 90s X-Man that appearead in zero media before this special...............

There have been depictions of Deadpool as low as TV-Y7 in the past 15 years, plus Punisher and Blade can be just as problematic yet they got Minifigures recently, so brand safeness clearly wasn't the issue. Maybe Deadpool's absence from Fortnite was due to wanting him to appear elsewhere first? Regardless: as far as a Minifigure is concerned, it's just a matter of them finding the right opportunity to release one, as with almost any character.
I just watched the special, I honestly thought it wasn't going to be good, but I very much enjoyed it, especially the MCU references. And I am begging Lego to make that Deadpool figure now, they can't just tease it and not do anything with it.
I think the best solution is a Deadpool advent calendar. It’s a kid-friendly form of humor to see Deadpool as Santa, but something that’s totally in character for him. Plus, it’d be a good way to get more of the characters from the movies, (particularly Colossus, Negasonic, Yukio), who otherwise would probably be too obscure to use somewhere.
