Wow, this is by far the best part about the Iron Dragons. They suck ass in the show but this theme absolutely slaps. Was hoping for so much more from them but they're just absolute voids of charisma(the characters, not the actors).
That's the point! Looking at the fact that the Dojo is owned by Terry Silver, and is run by a 3-time champion sensei who is broke and wants the money & his dojo back, they would completely disregard everything to get the best martial artists they could find. The Iron Dragons dojo represents Hong Kong and you can clearly see that neither Axel or Zara are from there. Axel clearly is an Ivan Drago clone, a thoughtless, emotionless machine of a character, who looks to have been molded from an early age to sacrifice everything for training to be the best, meanwhile Zara is too far into her own head, and has enough ego for the both of them. I think she has plenty of personality, she's just intended to be an unlikeable, insufferable b----, because she's a champion. I think they let the actress/fighter bring out how she would be if she was truly full of herself for being irl the youngest martial arts champion ever, multi-time champion and 3rd-degree black belt status in real life. The other 4 members are just meant to be NPCs highlighting the fact that Zara and Axel are so dominant that those other 4 aren't needed at all. Context matters. The Iron Dragons is fine.
