This was SO COOL to watch it come together at your beautiful campus. Oddly, when the snow came in the video, we could tangibly FEEL the cold. I actually got goosebumps! And we felt like we could taste the crisp air, so different than the heavier air here. We are so glad the yurt is with you!!! It was fun to see Evy, too!!!!
I am working on building my own yurt. I got the ring, lattice, and rafters completed in less than a week working almost entirely alone. Now I have to make the cover for it. I am going to make my first one out of repurposed billboard vinyl, which is 11mil fiber reinforced. I'll make a canvas cover next, using the vinyl one as a template.
Interesting! What a process. I've observed many times that putting things back together frequently takes longer than taking them apart but am still surprised at how long the reassembly takes.
thank you; very helpful video. We just put up our 20ft platform and expect delivery of our Yurt mid July 2020. Notice you had a skirt, which you screwed the lower grommets to. Did you also have a drip edge?
Hi..I just bought a property with a 20’ PACIFIC. It’s in great shape.. but door wrap has come away from the door. Lattice still attached just fine. Could you give me steps to reattach?
It's much easier to start from a brand new pacific yurt, factory direct. Of course taking apart and reassembling even a thing from Amazon, made in China, that needs returned is a challenge. This had soul.
This video is missing many parts of how to put a yurt up. Plus the video was shot in different aspect ratio. All though a good video but still need lots of clips. He could have put the camera on a tripod.
The canvas must have been hard to handle in the cold. Nice job.
It was a challenge!
Thanks so much for the awesome video! Helped us enormously in our own yurt build. All the best (to atreyu specifically) from Vermont
802 respect

Thanks. I was wondering how the canvas is held down.

That is a long story, but it’s about a 10,000.00 yurt if you bought it new
