This song gets me every time. When I was a kid, a couple of hundred years ago, Our best friend was a kid named Timmy. He had braces on his legs and back and got bullied a lot. Well, until me and my friends found out and we beat up the one's bullying Timmy. We were kind a rough bunch of kids but we were raised better than that. We took Timmy everywhere we went, on bikes, sleds in winter, took him swimming. He Mom's kinda freaked out went she found out, but other Mom's told her Timmy was safe with us and he was. He had the time of his life running with us. I was 14 and Timmy was 12 when he past. I look forward to seeing Timmy again, I'm 80 years old now, so it probably won't be long now. Life is full of little moments and happenings. They may seem kind of trivial but trust me,,,, nothing is trivial.
Martina is so underrated as I feel she is top 10 of all female vocalists in all genres. I'd put her ahead of Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Ann Wilson any day, anytime. She did not write this song. The song was written by Barry Dean and Tom Douglas. She sings and gets behind the songwriters storylines and really digs in hard and with all her effort. In 2002 Reba McEntire handed her crown of "queen of country music" on to Martina and she has been going strong the last 22 years! She has always been country but also adult contemporary, pop, rock, blues, and bluegrass.
Martina is not afraid to take on an issue. All her songs are great. She is a powerhouse. My fav by her is Anyway. But u will not b disappointed by any of them.
It was a nice song(Never heard this) but you could hear the love in her voice at same time you could hear her struggles but had her belief in God ….helped her through it all!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻Very beautiful song! ❤🙏🏻
I haven’t heard this in forever…I had forgotten about it. Independence Day is amazing. Hey Jude was written for John Lennon’s son Julian….you need to check out his music. Too late for goodbyes, Valotte, Jesse, stick around
Martina has a voice of Heaven. I would suggest (as others probably have already) A Broken Wing, Independence Day, and Concrete Angel. Just have tissues ready just in case.
I had a best friend who was 26 at the time and he had cerebral palsy she was told he would never walk. She made him walk a little at a time till he could. He had an IQ about a 5 year old. He eventually learned to make a sandwich and get tea when he wanted (through a straw). Doctors told her when he was little to institutionalize him. I met his mom and him in church we became best friends, especially her son Rick. I taught him simple sign language and right his name a course I had to keep reinforcing what I taught him. He really loved trains and when he saw one he would say whooee. I would drive him around the train tracks for trains. And around Christmas I drove him around to see the Christmas decoration. They eventually moved a way and I lost track of him. I do miss him as he would make people smile with his smile and he would run (sorta) to me when he saw me.
I'm not a country fan per say, but way back in the day I saw her live with my girlfriend at the time, (on Valentine's Day, was a present to her), her voice live is to me, is even better live, just draw dropping amazing. We saw Leanne Rhymes a couple months earlier when she just got hot. Leanne's voice is insane, but live, I prefer Martina's , which is definitely saying something.
Yo thank you for reacting to many different great artist... Yo I have two great suggestion of two different lives but almost are alike of what people go through... O.M.G. great lyrics, great storyline plus very emotional... John Michael Montgomery the little girl official music video... Hardy ft. Lainey Wilson wait in the truck official music video...
Today…People have got to remember blessings. All this mess going on…creating problems where there are none, feeding off negativity, crimes being committed by the youth.

Good for you to stand up to some bullies
Anything by Martina is excellent. You can't go wrong. Her voice is my favorite female voice in country. You can just hear the passion in her voice.
