Grateful also of past generations fighting for Finnish independence.
Remembering often my grandfather Martti who fought f.e. In the battle of Kollaa, with the White Death Simo Häyhä. He lost all his friends from his home village of Kiuruvesi. Was tormented of that for the rest of his life.

The lion is a beautiful coat of arms But it would be better if the background was white and the roses were red. White roses aren't to popular where I am from 😂. Reminds us of Yorkshire. I am sure the military still train in survival skills. I think the army is a good place to be for most youngsters,at least in peace time.

Oh yeah the famous English Roses. 'Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of York'😅
At least for me and for many of my friends it was a good experience, transformative, though not easy, many said they came out from it a bit as different person. A Finnish rite of Passage😂.
      Thx for stopping by Tim!
