    Brian: Doctor, I have to tell you something
    Doctor: yes?
    Brian: I broke your rule, I lift more than 5lbs.
    Doctor: Dont worry Brian, as long as it was not something crazy like 50lbs.
    Brian: Is 700lbs too much doctor?

    After watching your videos, I really took to heart what you have been saying about the importance of rows and how you said they should be on par with your bench. Well today is the first time my barbell rows mirrored my bench, thanks and keep up the good work

  • @AZWallbreaker
    @AZWallbreaker 6 років тому +2

    I was doing 480lbs squats. On my first set, I was suppose to do three reps with it. On my third rep, I dropped the weight. After that, I did the weight again for the same reps for six set. I couldn't complete the last set because my left knee started to give, so I went to 225lbs to finish my squat workout. Anyway, every time I watch your videos, I remind myself that no excuses to not to try and give it 100%!!! Thank you!

    • @MrSocialish
      @MrSocialish 6 років тому +2

      Im just saying because Clarence's pause squat max is 666lbs, and that's pretty close to what Brian did. Clarence's was ass to grass though. In terms of overall strength, yeah, Brian is definitely stronger.

    • @lukegazda2395
      @lukegazda2395 6 років тому +4

      MrSocialish also factor bodyweight.

    • @whowatchesthwatchmen
      @whowatchesthwatchmen 6 років тому +7

      MrSocialish Clarence also didn't have a belt on... or knee wraps. Somewhat relevant.

    • @stefl14
      @stefl14 6 років тому +5

      Clarence claims to have done more than 302.5kg paused, ass to grass, no belt, no sleeves. He's done that with 666 on Camera. Given all those factors, Clarence is the stronger squatter. Clarence has also recently done 595x5 wearing nothing. He's lighter than Brian too. Brian is stronger on other stuff, but not squatting or deadlifting.

    Start using the shoulderok. This will help the shoulder issues. I am sure you are doing rotator cuff work so this will be a nice addition. If you want to decrease the pressure on the shoulder start working on moving your hands in the most you can (be warned it may be difficult on your elbows). Love the videos as always. Makes me wish I was doing conjugated training but I do powerlifting and respond better to more direct work.

    You could try taking CBD oil/smoking cannabis with a high amount of CBD (CBD doesn't get you high) for the nausea and vomiting. This is a popular method among HIV and chemotherapy patients, as CBD reduces nausea and vomiting for most people, it is side-effect free too. Throwing up on a regular basis for a long period of time can leave some nasty long-term side effects. Hope this helps man, wish you a speedy recovery.

    Whenever I try ab wheel, I get pinching, excruciating pain in my lower back. Usually in the transition back up. So I don't do ab wheel. Just watching you do STANDING ab wheel was painful. Any idea what causes that?

    • @2kanchoo
      @2kanchoo 6 років тому +2

      I get the exact same thing. I only do ab wheel sparingly or only go part way out and I stop as soon as my back starts hurting. Trying to keep my back crowned out helps.

    • @BrianAlsruheOfficial
      @BrianAlsruheOfficial  6 років тому +13

      You need to brace on the ab wheel the same exact way you do with a squat or a deadlift. Are you doing that?

    • @killxswitch
      @killxswitch 6 років тому +3

      No, I am not. Thank you Brian! I will do that. Your bracing video totally changed my squatting so hopefully it'll do the same for the ab wheel.

      Wife's kid had activity-induced asthma. Her lungs would lock up when she got winded. For someone who runs, lifts, ice skates, does gymnastics, it was to7gh for her. She took to hitting her rescue inhaler right before exercise and it worked for her. Maybe it would work for you.
