CONCLUSION: Gaijin is willy nilly dividing the game play in a very dangerous to customer base inclusivity as preferences. You have the Air to Air Experten who don't really care about anything without wings or at least rotors and live for the adrenaline junk spasm of modern missile warfare. And you have the Air To Ground types who either get tired of salvoing off standoff missiles or having to listen to the ground pukes who complain that they are being beaten up without a chance to fight back against overwhelming air (solution: limit your smart weapons stocks on a daily basis and require some tactics to find ADVs and kill them, on the way in to more conventional bomb/rocket deliveries...). To the extent that they no longer play armor and the maps get stuffed with Air Defense Vehicles and little else as airpower wins everything, all the time. Dealing with this issue by FULLY FLESHING OUT the eras and theaters where PGM are limited availability and adding medium altitude, radar guided 57/85mm and early SA-2/3/6 SAMs would help reintegrate the game play. As medium altitude vultures would not be safe at height anymore and would be fair game at low level to systems already in the game, due to LOS constraints and ambush (no radar or offboard surveillance radar cueing) . While certain assets (Turbo Porter with side firing 20mm or OV-10 NOGS with 20mm + FLIR) would be just...WOW to watch, in action, on the way to true gunships. As B-52 Arc Lights go off in the near distance. And and and. Just on a shear, random, 'You were there anyway so we though you might like to see it...' basis. Or a B-57 drops willy pete fireworks bombs to burn down a forest around a AAA site. Or a C-130 drops a BLU-82 to make a helicopter landing zone. Or a C-121 Blind Bat salvos off flairs, revealing a huge truck column and an AC-130 Surprise Package designates a couple AAA sights as F-4Ds dive in with paired Paveways to Iron Hand the tracers. The point here is that you're missing a lot of what makes the gameplay authentic, even as your gapfill assets are so anachronistic that they are not going to be appreciated in top tier.
@@talktorch6005 Do we have to think of them in that fashion? The Mi-24D which is the primary threat for the Tracked system is BR 8.7-9.3. The Su-17 and 24 which are probably the primary fixed wing, airfield attack/deep interdiction platforms which a towed Blindfire might face, are 10.7-11.3. How do you decide which is which as primary CAS threat driver? How do you insert the early vs. mid vs. late Su-25/Su-25K/Su-25T or SM which actually has less capability _for the period in which the two systems overlap_ but is more likely to be encountered in a CAS battle? I would offer that what we need is a simple resort into an 'HB' or Historical Battle set of eras, not balances. So that, at least in one battle mode, people don't make artificial attributions based on such strange notions (in war) as 'fair'. But instead may simply deal with the technology imbalances such as they are. With a possible modifier for Orbat numbers in each force if things get too difficult. So that there can only be a certain number of ADVs spawned on-map, at any one time (these mobile air defense vehicles were murderously expensive at the time, easily double the cost of an MBT, such that even the Germans and Soviets, who had lots of WWII experience of frontal fighting with/without dedicated flak units, held them at division level, to be doled out 'as needed' for high priority missions/thrustlines...). Within this context, the Towed Rapier came into service around 1971 and the tracked around 1981. So, any jet/helicopter within the ten years of those decades could be considered appropriate. But if you are talking HISTORICAL (as in Cold War) technology levels, then you would likely be thinking of a top end no more than 4-6km SACLOS wire or radio guided. Which would be AT-3 Swatter and AT-6 Spiral on a Hind and perhaps (10km) AS-25 Kerry or (15km) AS-9 Karen with a possible addition of AS-11 Kilter as s longer ranging suppression weapon on fixed wing jets. The equivalents, if you want to kill NATO allies would be HOT on the Gazelle and TOW on the Bo-105 or AH-1F plus AGM-65B (no D) and AGM-45 or perhaps Martel as likely fixed wing suppression tools. No Hellfire, no AT-9 or 16. The Americans get Paveway but only on jets which had a designator (F-4D/E Pave Spike and F-111F Pave Tack, day and night/poor weather), both of which are designator range limited. The French get AS-30 but no L. At least until the Jaguar picks up the ATLIS II and the Tornado gets the TIALD (for CPU-123B).

how the hell are they gonna balance the su30sm?? canards + thrust vectoring? the full real maneuvers are gonna be insane. theyre gonna nerf SOMETHING about it into the dirt, or its gonna be OP.
Raw flight performance is one of the least important metrics to what makes a plane meta in a post fox 3 air rb. Strike eagle is a fantastic example of this, by far the least maneuverable eagle but between insane thrust, avionics, and missiles it's one of the best. Post-stall maneuvers only really matter for extended one-on-one gunfights which basically don't happen anymore.
Grippen A was the second best plane in the game after su27 until the summer update, where Grippen C was lagging from the start against all the f16s, f15s and su27sms with 12 missiles... I think even Grippen E will be very weak.
The gripens irl heavily rely on their electronic countermeasure suite which isn't implemented in game so that leaves it at a heavy disadvantage with the limited missile load. It still has a crazy flight model and a bunch of countermeasures though.
When you put Rapier in the title i thought you meant the XF-108 Rapier. I was about to say how the fuck would that even work but nah its just an AA system.

Agreed. Gajin doesn't give a fuck about authentication.. Can you blame them ? This is the cheap arcade version from DCS 😂
Interesting comment, where do you think the tracked rapier will be placed Br wise then ?
@@talktorch6005
Do we have to think of them in that fashion?
@@xyz-hj6ul so it could be anywhere from, 8.7 all the way to 11.3 ground realistic wise ?
I don’t wanna be that guy. But no shit the fa18 will come this year. It’s 2 years past when it was supposed to. Can’t really go up on the US air line without it. Hard to get excited for it.
My brother in snail, please get some rest brother, it’s ok to sleep 🤣
I have F18 on radar warning since forever..dunno which plane flags as f18
I think Harier have the f18's radar
Boys Get ready For some F-18's 😎
su-30 and F/A-18A/C isn’t fair. US should get the super hornet at least..

Why is the sky speaking Latin?
how the hell are they gonna balance the su30sm?? canards + thrust vectoring? the full real maneuvers are gonna be insane. theyre gonna nerf SOMETHING about it into the dirt, or its gonna be OP.
It’s gonna be a su27 flight model still so will be garbage over nerfed and made useless because of r77s
@DustyBustty the r77 isn't even good 😭
@@kmanb that’s what I’m saying lol it’s gonna be a terrible flight model with trash missiles
@@DustyBustty fair enough 😔
Raw flight performance is one of the least important metrics to what makes a plane meta in a post fox 3 air rb. Strike eagle is a fantastic example of this, by far the least maneuverable eagle but between insane thrust, avionics, and missiles it's one of the best.
Post-stall maneuvers only really matter for extended one-on-one gunfights which basically don't happen anymore.
im assuming that they are releasing the vehicle in order according to the decal, so SU-30 first, F-18 last
They will add them at the same time
@taj2332 nah, knowing gaijin, it'd be in different patches
@Wolffjaeger bro knowing gaijin they always put them together...
@@taj2332 yeah just stick to that narrative inside your head of yours. It's gaijin, they want to make money continously in every possible way
@Wolffjaeger bro what are you on they have done it the for most of the previous updates lmao
Man, the Gripen is becoming more and more unplayable every update thanks to the compression and missile busses.
Grippen A was the second best plane in the game after su27 until the summer update, where Grippen C was lagging from the start against all the f16s, f15s and su27sms with 12 missiles... I think even Grippen E will be very weak.
@@troy_pl1138it will since gripen is notorious for being bad
Well you have Sweden to thank for making a cheap plane that simply doesn’t compete
The gripens irl heavily rely on their electronic countermeasure suite which isn't implemented in game so that leaves it at a heavy disadvantage with the limited missile load. It still has a crazy flight model and a bunch of countermeasures though.
will gaijin really bring thrust vectoring into the game ?
with the Su-30, yes
The question is if they´ll make it realistic or just give true 3d thrust vectoring like some kind of experimental plane
Already got thrust vectoring planes, they called harriers and Yaks. Some carry thrust vectoring missiles, too :P
@@ronaldthompson4989Thrust vectoring for maneuverability, not VTOL.
@ronaldthompson4989 they use thrust vectoring for vtol not to enhance performance
F18 should have been added 2024 at the latest
1 minute is crazy
F/A-18 videos are like 30% of his revenue these days lol
Super hornet so more countries can get AESA
When you put Rapier in the title i thought you meant the XF-108 Rapier. I was about to say how the fuck would that even work but nah its just an AA system.
I feel ripped off because all I see is yet another BB and no AsSM for my german Albatros. Le Fayette, where art thou?
Thrust vectoring YIS.
Bruh didn’t you cover this last time
We will get F/A18 and Su-30 before F2 💀
India is such hot topic. British in the future will able the get Pantsir because of india.
I think india shouldnt come to the game as a sub-tree as it would break the UK
@airlightshockZOVit should’ve been a Russian sub tree
@airlightshockZOVit wouldn’t be that bad, the main thing it would add is really good SPAA, a decent MBT, and a good aircraft
@ Dude, the UK already had the ef2000 and gripen, india would give them a rafale and an Su-30MKI, the second best Su-30 in the world, they really dont need that
@ would have been useless in russia
they better not add the f18, i wanna see trooper stop glazing the f18 for once
Get this CAS of my ass 😤😤😤😤😤
J-16 J-15 WHEN
Bro glad to see su30sm
F2 when 😐
Cant wait for an hornet that somehow can 2 circle and su-30 that can do ac combat maneuvers
More like Hornet that can 2circle but has half its ordnance missing and su-30 that CAN'T 1circle and bleeds speed from mach 0.8 to 200kmph after turning 20 degrees. We're talking Snail here.
@idvhfd were talking levels like rafale thats a 1 circle fighter being able to 1 2 circle as he wishes here
@@aquilesca5tr0 the what beats the what?
It does that irl too though. Rafael is a better dog fighter than F-16 in every regard. Same with euro fighter.
The F-18 is a great 2 circle fighter irl though.
I just wanted Mirage F1! And you know what they delivered for Xbox? 4... 4 shitty Americas.
mig 25?
Anyone think they can beat the usa f5e in a dogfight ? Its the best one out of all of them prove me wrong
Dog reveal??
He did
not surprising ....
still waiting mig25
hi mat
FINALLY
Again and again buffed russian and nerfed alied veicles ....
Are they going to give the su30 a shit radar like every other top tier Russian plane bahahahah 🙌
