Hi, I'm new too Riverside... I put a new two person video in the grid view but it's showing one of the participants off to the side rather than centered, she also isn't filling the screen as much as the other person, how can I manually go in & re-adjust? Thank you!
Am I able to re-record sections of the recording in the "edit" feature? That seemed to be the only thing I was missing/not seeing available in Edit mode. Thanks!
You can record another segment in your studio, and then in our editor you can splice that in to your original recording!
I suspect there is a way to add show music, commercials, intros, outros, etc.? I'm starting with the lesser plan so as to not be overwhelmed. I have been using Zoom and have been putting off changing, lol. Can someone else log in to my account to edit the content? Does it make sense to use a screen capture in case the guest content isn't uploaded? Lots of questions...
Keep the questions coming! Right now you can add intros, outs, and commercials right in the Riverside editor. Just click the + icons at the beginning, end, or in-between cuts in the timeline. Adding music isn't available just yet, but coming very soon. You can send someone a link to download all the files without giving them your login too! And we don't find a screen capture is necessary when recording with Riverside. You actually get backup files in addition to the high quality local recordings every time!
Are you able to add a co-host who can also record and manage?
Is there a way to add a timer countdown during a live recording in riverside? Kinda like “Pardon the Interruption” ?

We don't currently offer that ability.

Hello, this has been very helpful. I have a challenge within editing my recordings. I’ve added captions however on some of the content the captions are not showing. After that section they come back but I have not found a way to make sure ALL of the audio I’m keeping has captions. Thank you in advance. Please help. #newuser #needalittlehelp
Do you see this happen even after exporting? We do a lot of processing once you export and may fix this issue.

I was set to use Riverside, then found ecamm, but I am not sure which I should use. I like that I can do scenes with ecamm, but Riversides local recording makes me feel better. I don't want to have to do a bunch of after editing, and I don't want to buy something when I already have iMovie. I will be doing both in person and remote interviews, and I bought a elgato switcher for flow. What advice do you have?
ecamm is a great product, especially for live streaming, but when it comes to putting it together quickly after recording, our editor has become very powerful. @@Riversidefm Thank you. I don't plan on live streaming at all, but want to be able to do in person and remote interviews, with one or three cameras depending. Graphics are also a plus for me, as I want to be able to have information on screen, and doing it as I go is a plus to limited editing as well.
If I'm doing a separate video for an intro of the podcast how do I merge that in with the rest of the recorded video/podcast? Thanks
You can click the + icon at the beginning of the timeline in the Riverside editor and upload a video clip there!
Is it possible to have the video uploaded the same way it was recorded? After I upload, the video is reversed such as in front vs back camera. Thanks!
Yes! Go into your studio settings and choose "Mirror video"
How does the editing work when you want introduce audio files that have either been recorded in a different session or a different platform entirely?
You can upload audio or video files right inside the editor and splice them in wherever you'd like! Just split a section, hold your mouse in-between, and you'll see a + button to upload
I've seen a video podcast that people could call in during the podcast. Does Riverside have that option
Yes we do! When you share the "audience" link from your studio, anyone can watch live and request to "call in" with video and audio!
Hello I tried testing out Riverside me and my guest were set up to record but I was unable to hear her on the other end , just wondering is that because we only used the free version just wondering what the issue may have been. thanks : )
You should definitely be able to hear remote guests on the free version? Could you tell what mic they were using and if it was selected properly in the studio? Also, some mics have an on/off switch. You can also see under their name in the Riverside studio whether or not their channel is getting audio signal with the green bar that moves up and down.
how do I add music to my podcast in various portions..intro, and ending...and what if we want to insert an advertising/promo
i use a different editing program to add those types of things to my Riverside recordings
You can upload clips in the editor using the + icon at the end of the timeline to insert in the middle, beginning, or end of your recording! We don't have a way to layer it underneath your spoken content.
I have to other co host do I put them under guest?
That's correct! Anyone joining you who you want to be recorded should join as a guest.
Can riverside capture sound coming from our PC/software?. I'm asking for someone who wants to make music production videos.

How long does Magic Audio take to run? I started it about 30 minutes ago and it's still spinning. This is on a 53-minute video recording.

Click on the tracks tool in the upper right corner of the editor, then use the small lines to drag and reorder how they appear!

How may we blur background?
Click on the magic wand that appears in the top right corner of the video once you're in studio and you should see the blue option. The feature is still rolling out to all users as well, so may appear soon!
Does riverside have overlays ?
When recording / streaming live, or in the editor? Is the editor, we have text overlays available right now, and more overlay features coming soon!
I want to have still images in the media section to refer to live but doesn't seem possible at the moment. Am I missing something?

If you. mean recording online classroom content or an interview, yes! Riverside is perfect for that.
Do you have a UA-cam around teaching classes. How it works. Features & how is it different than using UA-cam?

As the host you will see the levels just like a producer. You don't need to join specifically as a producer.
My version doesn’t have the option to label the episode in the recording set up

It depends on your plan, like the Pro plan allows for 15 hours per month!
How many guest contributors can join a show at the same time?
8 total can be recorded.
How I could setect part of the video to delete it?
You can search the transcript or highlight any text, then press the keyboard delete key to remove it!
Can I invite someone to do the remote editing and to upload the Podcast to Spotify?
You can send the share link on a studio or individual recording and someone else can download your files to edit externally. But to invite someone and use your editor would require a business plan and team members.
Great video but you are talking far too fast to follow it all. Also tried out the editing of the transcript and it is a nightmare to edit and correct words that are generated. Despite all of this I intend to try out Riverside particularly the 'live' studio feature with interaction with guests as my older platform provider used to offer this and now doesn't.

I have been using riverside for 2 weeks now. i think im going back to streamyard. I do not like the limitations of riverside vs streamyard. The lack of logos, overlays, cant move the windows for viewers, guest management having more then one guest. Riverside is cool with editing, backup track and mobile, but when it comes to things like the actual things you can do during a podcast or guest windows, riverside seriously lacks. I love making the windows FULL or fill, split, etc DURING the interview. You cannot do anything during the actual interview. Also no capability for STREAMDECK.
We hear you on that, and understand the live streaming capabilities are a priority for you. We know many users have similar requests and we're working on it!
I dont like the fact that riverside does not provide different layouts DURING the actual podcast. You cant change the views between you and your guest to make it more fun, appealing and keep it interesting. Even when you edit the video, you can only choose ONE layout. You cant change the layout in another other part of the clip for a different layout. That sucks. I even tried splicing the video and changing the layout and NOPE still stuck with the same layout. This is coming from someone who just changed from streamyard because of the high quality but I think im going back to 1080 because this has way to many restrictions and I hate people are not talking about it or telling people the truth.
