Riverside also has incredible text-based editing features! (That's right, you can edit your podcast like it's a word document!) check out how it works here: ua-cam.com/video/DHS2ZEb3Sw4/v-deo.html and remember to sign up for Riverside using my code: bit.ly/Riverside_Katie and use the code: KATIE15 for 15% off ✨
You underpromised and overdelivered on this one! I watched to learn about recording a podcast online and next thing I know you are answering all my other questions about gear, set-up, budget, and procedures! This was so helpful, your videos are so good!
Thanks for sharing. I have a podcast and have wanted to incorporate interviews. I had no idea I could use my phone as a webcam. Will be doing that moving forward
Thank you so much for this video. And I’m so glad finally someone suggested RESEARCHING the person they are interviewing. It’s so lazy when the guest is literally having to answer surface questions that the interviewer could have googled.
I use Riverside to record my interviews. Do you have any advice on where to put my logo on the screen for branding? And whether I should add the guest name with text? I could just upload the raw video, but I also feel like maybe I should be increasing my branding.
Great info, thanks! I don't want to do an interview podcast. I want to record a collaboration video with another creator in another state. Basically we have a similar interest on a certain subject and we just want to discuss it and show the things we have concerning the subject. How can we do that?
Thank you for this and your other videos! I get how to make sure video and audio is good on my end, but what about your remote guest? Do you send them an iPhone holder and decent mic ahead of time? Worried that if mine sounds awesome, theirs will sound terrible if not the same.
One thing you didn't discuss and rather important is what about the guest. They're not likely to have a good microphone. It would be nice to know this key factor. 😢
Do you happen to have an alternative recommendation? I tried Riverside but unfortunately the quality came out so bad and then I spent hours editing the video and it lost my work.. 3 times..
Love your videos. Unfortunately on the end of past guests Riverside wasn’t good because the guest has to have space on their device. I had one who is definitely tech savvy, cleared all space on their device and we still couldn’t record. It was very frustrating. Someone else ran out of space almost an hour into our interview. I don’t think it’s guest friendly. Great if you’re doing a solo show. Also, the Riverside team was very kind. I wanted to stay with them, but this happened many times.
@@dorothylhammond I had it in 2022. I believe it was the Standard option, not the free one. Again, the customer service was great. I enjoyed the Facebook Group too. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out a way to resolve issues for my guests.

What if the guest has a lower quality video or audio.. and is Riverside free?
Thank you for the advice on using podcastle. For me it’s much easier than GarageBand. 👍🏼

Does Riverside record with multiple tracks? Can I download the tracks and send them to a editor?
Yes!
Can I double up the audio on my guest I'm interviewing if the audio is bad? So it sounds better..
