Society makes us believe everything should be all sunshine and roses. Sunshine and roses wouldn’t be so nice if we didn’t have weeds and clouds. Thanks for keeping it real.
Dear Jeanette. It's not a rubbish vlogmas. Please- if you feel like it carry on. You are doing such a wonderful job. And when crochet and knitting call you again then you will do it. Just don't worry - it's so good to just talk about what worries you. Sending you lots of hugs❤❤
We all love you and tune in to watch you and your crafting and losing your mojo with crafting and ups and downs of life are all part of that. You cheer us all up and I just love your company. Sending love and hugs😘🎄
Bell I couldn't agree more with you. Please know that Jeanette and yourself give us viewers so much pleasure to watch and try to interact with through comments. Yes life can be emotionally hard at times and that's life but the pleasure we get watching you is "our" escapism from our difficult times. We are all in this boat together and we all lose our mojo as you say. We all love you and this is a safe place for many. Xx
Thank you so much for leaving the beginning part in your video- I can't thank you enough. Friends share good times and tough times as well, we love tuning in for your honest and real content and we appreciate you being as brave and wonderful as you are for including us. To be honest, for those of us struggling at this time of the year due to family losses and other life struggles, your and Belinda's words help us feel like we're not alone and we don't have to be over the top happy all the time to be normal. I've also struggled with my crafting(making it all the worse since that's my stress reliever) and I've had to stop watching some of the christmas vlogs because was all too much- but because of you I don't feel alone or weird- I'm just human and it will be ok. This will pass. Thank you for helping me- and I'm sure many others. Sending hugs and sunshine from Florida. ❤
Don't beat yourself up Jeanette, we watch you for you as the lovely person you are. You keep everything real, life has its downs at times so we all understand. Your crafting will still be there when you feel like picking it up again. Take care of yourself 💐
Dear Jeanette, thanks for your honesty, same here....lost my mom Christmas eve 2017, total shock, this time of year can be the most difficult. You make it brighter, just being normal, crafting or no crafting. I wish I could reach into the screen and give you a hug. Xx
Don’t be hard on yourself, your chit chat is real life & reflects the way lots of people feel at this time of year. It’s nice not to think that you are not the only one feeling in a funk. The crafting is a bonus, most people just enjoy having someone relatable to spend time with whilst crafting themselves . Life isn’t always a bed of roses 😊
Thanks for not deleting. I was in a bit of a funk today, and it really helped to know I’m not the only one. I’ve been thinking a bit about the Toft advent. While the ornaments weren’t ideal, the centralizers and the key were some of the best items they’ve done (in my opinion).
Awe hen sending you a big squeezy hug wish I could come done there and give you a real one 🤗 I think as we all get older this time of the year brings back so many memories good and bad !! Your a lovely person and I so enjoy watching you warts and all 😊 that's real life. Take care Jeanette your doing the right thing by talking about it so many people put a face on things and just end up unwell. ❤
Don't be so hard on yourself, life is life and it happens to us all. I'm not feeling the Christmas vibe this year and I have no idea why. I love your company, sending love to you & your family. xx
Don't apologize, we are here to watch your crafts, and to hear about your life. I think most of us already saw you are struggling. Belinda yesterday telling us about her father passing on the 21st of December, and today you tell about your mothers passing on that same date... In Dutch we say "gedeelde smart is halve smart" which translates to "shared sorrow is half sorrow", meaning that when you share your sad moments, it allows people to comfort you, and that softens your pain and grieve a little bit 💜. Sending you love and hugs!
Sometimes we just need to step back from stuff we do all the time, doesn’t mean you don’t still have that passion, just need to step back, whatever you do, do it for you not for UA-cam, it’s in the name, all about You, sending hugs and hope you find some sparkle soon xx
Jeanette do not worry about the lack of crafting. You are voicing how many of us are feeling. If what your crafting brings you no joy cast on something else. Keep up vlogs going your a tonic to us all. So glad i found you been following for a few months live your papercrafting too found that this morning. ❤
Jeanette it’s not been a rubbish vlogmas. You are the first one I watch every day and I have a lot to watch! Don’t forget you have been ill aswell. Lots of love xx
New subscriber here 🤗Yes, we watch podcasts for entertainment, but we watch specific channels because we are interested in the person/people. There are hundreds of knitting, crafting channels we could watch. We choose to watch your channel because of you, whether ypu are crafting or not 😊. I hope you find something to spark a little Christmas joy ❤. Get your nail polish changed every day if that is what it takes💅
Aww jeanette💕 big hug. You so often say to us "we're all friends here" and being your friends, we don't expect you to pretend life is always roses. Friends are there for the Ups and the downs. You've had a rough year, and you've been poorly too, it's not surprising nothing feels right. You must do what is best for you, we love your Vlogs, but if it's too much take a break and rest. Equally, if it helps to come on and have a chat and get it all off your chest, then do that. Give yourself a big hug. 💕 it's ok to not always be ok. We're not going anywhere Ps love your nails and the Barbie wool💕
Hi Jeanette, our crafty friend. Please don't feel you need to apologise for being yourself. We all love your podcasts and appreciate all you do to make them happen for us. I find that sometimes I feel a bit like that at this time of year but then I remember the true meaning of Christmas and that makes a big difference. I am currently working on a Granny Wrap (Annaboo's House). It is a great mindless project for this time of year and the wrap grows quite quickly. Sending love. x
Oh Dear Jeanette don’t worry we all have downs. We just so so enjoy your time with us. Our family too, has had a very hard year and like you I’m having to make myself keep the holiday spirit. It’s not unusual to have these downs now and then and it helps others to see that they are not alone. Keep pushing on. You’re doing great.
None of you wonderful girls.....yes you are girls to me......seem to realise how valuable you are to us as a community, a crafting community, friends though we have never met nor are we likely to meet. We have so much in common, likes, dislikes, old skills and new skills, highs and lows in life and family, good days and bad days with our health and so much more. Thank you for your time, effort and care....this comes with a huge hug and another "Thank You". xxx
Oh Jeanette I just want to give you a big hug. I’ll be honest with you I don’t come on to your vlogs for wall to wall cheeriness I come on to spend time with you. I’m only watching three or four vlogmases and yours is right up there! Doesn’t matter what you’re doing or how you feel, you’re just you. You’ve had ups and downs this year so just be kind to yourself as much as you can. Sending you lots of love xx
Enjoy your vlogs all of them. Even if just chatting! Everyone needs a break from crafting from time to time. I love your lovely yarns you are getting in your advents. That little mushroom house is adorable! Your nails are lovely!!❤❤❤😊
Hi Jeanette please don't gave up I really enjoy watching you and we all get are ups and downs and that's apart of life your such a lovely down to earth person so keep your heart up you'll get there ❤️ ❤❤
Love your Vlogs and podcasts Jeanette, enjoy them so much. You are not a downer, it’s life to how you are feeling. I’m sure your crafting mojo will return, sounds a good idea to start the crochet shawl. Take care 💐🎄
I love your vlogs, whether you craft or just chat. Today we marked 3 years since we lost our beautiful daughter. She was only 35. Miss her so much. Love is endless and so is grief. Time does not heal but we just learn to live without her. Your mojo will return after Christmas, just go with the flow till then. All the best xxx
Jeanette thank you for your video to night it’s 13 years to day my husband died and I was feeling very low crying all day so thank you for your chat mend my day please keep going if only for me xx
Thank you Jeanette still crying as it’s been a hard day on my own heating gone off so I’ve come to bed to get warm but to morrow is a new day so this 86 year old is going to get up with a smile on my face and look forward to you video to mottos night god bless xx
Take care of yourself Jeanette. Christmas is not always jolly for everyone. I think the fact that you are disappointed with your Toft advent calendar, is not helping your crafting slump. It is difficult when you lost a loved one at Christmas. We love catching up with you and Tim even if you don’t have anything to show us. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.❤I haven’t made anything for Christmas as I had a nasty virus and then 2 weeks later my husband and I both got Covid. We live in a tiny town and all gifts are being bought locally I even left it too late for on line shopping. But the day will come weather I’m ready or not 😂❤❤
Hi Jeanette I do think the weather doesn’t help with it being so damp and gloomy. If you have the luna lap in books the clothes do fit all the animals xx
Loving your vlogmas and the honesty is perfect and just what I need. I have lost my Jo full stop, crochet, knitting, sewing, even housework has all gone out the window. Please keep vlogging
Hi Jeanette, I just love watching your videos, none of them are rubbish, it’s life and we all have our off days, you always make me smile 🤩 sending you a big hug and thank you 😘😘😘👍
When "things" are getting me down, whether it's at the holidays or just anytime, doing a random act of kindness brings me right out of it. Especially when you see or get relayed back that the recipient was overjoyed and truly blessed. It never is anything very grand, but it seems that the person who receives the item thinks it's grand---and that's the point. You are, seemingly, a very good natured person and it goes against your nature to be down, find something joyous and hang on to it because there are those you many not be aware of who need you and you need them as well. We are all part of a great big family and we need each other in one way or another. As far as the who Toft thing goes, if you are not into the ornaments or whatever that you received, gift them to someone who may not have any ornaments at all. Love you and your channel. By the way you are sounding alot better as far as your asthma is concerned, Have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
Jeanette, I'm here in volgmas first and foremost for the advent opening 😁 which I have loved watching, anything above and beyond is a bonus 🤣. Keep being you, that's what we are all here for. Kx
Hello Jeanette, please allow yourself time to wotk everything out and rest You have a fantastic support network in all us lot I lost my husband six years ago and still miss him terribly every day, but I also talj to him every day We all get times when we lose our mojo Rest and forget about crafting for how ever long you need .Take care❤
Hi Jeanette, I know exactly how you feel, I’m totally with you, for some reason I this year i just can’t get into the the Christmas spirit , but 🤞we get over it soon and in time to have a very Merry Christmas, 🤶
Hi Jeanette. Thank you for today’s podcast. Please don’t feel it’s anything like miserable. I watch quite a few podcasts and enjoy vlogmas etc. several podcasters seem to be struggling and try to be upbeat. I follow knit together with Kim and Jonna and Kim is struggling just now. She broke down in tears but held it together a few days ago. Sometimes it actually helps me and probably others too, to know life isn’t a bed of roses. For me, you’re lovely company. I wish I could tell all of you who I watch just how much I appreciate you all. The only downside to watching podcasts is that I want to make all the things and buy too much 😂 I’m currently working on a cowl for a surprise for a friend and then I’m hoping to make another for a friend who has had a rotten year. It says a rude 💩 word on it but she uses that word to describe her life and I’m hoping it will make her laugh. I work part time and care for my poorly hubby. How did I ever find time to work full time! I hope you chest is improving and your mojo is wrapped up with a bow on top, under your Christmas tree 🎄 😂
dont worry ive always had bad days with depression you get where you want to make something but you cant been like few days till you came on n showed me the reindeer i got from littlecotton rabbit think ive done them all now but love as it small
Dearest Jeanette, I hear you and feel your pain and sadness as I too am on the same pathway as you ( without going into detail 😢) . At this time of the year I turn into The Grinch and get very run down and always feel guilty when others around me seem to find so much joy in Christmas however you are absolutely 100% right to appreciate that it’s not necessarily like that for a lot of people for one reason or another, I admire your honesty on camera and it’s great that you acknowledge what’s probably going on within yourself so just be kind to yourself, start and stop whatever you feel like and whenever you have the energy. Sending a virtual hug xx
Much hugs. I lost my mum early 2018. So it gets hard at times around her favorite holidays, she loved Christmas and advent. We all get like this at some point around the holidays. I found giving myself a few craft free days helps, even though I then complain about the time I lost, though actually I didn't because I can steam ahead if need be. My children keep telling me they love my Christmas gifts any time of the year. So I do the grandchildren first now.
❤🫂❤ catch ups with friends is about being here and listening while you process outloud... saying how you are feeling helps those of us who feel similar at this time this to will pass and the joy will return, just do what you need to do to move through this season 😊❤
My Eric has a yellow duffle coat and yellow wellie boots , I got the kit and he looks grand I also gave him glasses cause he kept falling of the shelf lol 😂😂😂xx
❤❤love ur chats anytime,, anyhow,,,, Crafting seems not so relaxed right now ,,for some reason,,, Love it to be calm,,,,🎉🎉 And if things are abit off at any time,,,,i feel unsettled,,,, Know how you feel,, Not a downer at all,, Love the sweet gifts,,, What is the crochet shawl,,, Jeanette??looks so cozy,,,, ELAINE 🏡💕
I lost my sister and best friend Dec 2nd of this year….she passed unexpectedly. The last 2 weeks have been difficult. She was a simple person, lived simply but crafted like no other! She was a master at any craft she cared to learn and her name was Margaret!
I can totally relate and understand how you are feeling, I lost my granddaughter in nov 22 only 15months old totally unexpected … I remember that Christmas being so sad without our baby girl and Christmas is not the same … I really think you should do what you feel is the best as far as vlogmas go’s , yes everyone loves to hear from you but you should do what makes you feel better xxx
Big hugs Jeanette. I miss my son and of course other family members who have passed, but missing my son is hardest. We try to find the joy and magic and remembering happy memories. I much prefer vlogs that are just how the days unfold ….happy and sad things all together as they are. I find vlogs where everything is perfection a bit overwhelming. You are always brilliant company and are one of the first I look for each Vlogmas day. Love, Karen x
I don’t like Christmas because I lost my gramma. My friend died on Sunday aged 58 from cancer. Last Christmas she lost her mum. The Christmas before she lost her dad…. You are not alone! You are not miserable, you are honest! Also we can relate! There is nothing more I dislike than fake! I did disagree with Belinda on one part…. It is NOT easy to reach out when you are low. Your nails are the same as mine 💕💕💕. Stay true Jeanette! That’s why we follow you and have done for years - I’ll send you a private message in the morning xxx
Jeanette, Honestly I don’t really enjoy the holidays much anymore. I don’t have any brothers or sisters plus I never married. So for me the holiday period can seem quick lonely at times. If it was up to me I’d rather jump from Thanksgiving to January 2nd. Also just to keep busy this year I will be working on Christmas Eve & Day as well as New Year’s Eve & Day. The holiday season can be a difficult time for a lot of people & there is absolutely no reason for you to apologize for how you’re feeling. 💕
Think we all get Debbie Downers sometimes, didn't realize what that meant until my son called me it, he showed me the program where he got it from it is funny but i could see myself in it, so that made me think i have to get out of this mood. So i don't think you are on your own and i always think sometimes its good to talk about how we feel as like you said not everyone is happy and joyful this time of year, but that's ok we are all different. I have pulled back my crochet 3 times today not feeling the love so back in the draw for now. hope you feel better tommorow.
Love seeing you your honest and true to life would much rather see you than some of these false over the top people that do my head in. You your videos please feel free to chat as much as you can ❤❤
We have had a really horrendous year involving family and friends. The stress has been so bad my doctor sent me to the mental health coach who recommended journalling. I have lost all my crafting drive, I’m just knitting on a pair of socks so I can knit around and around without thinking. Even the socks are taking me an age to finish.
Oh Jeannette. I really sympathise with you. I lost my lovely Mum on New Years Eve 1999…Millenium. She was in hospital all over Christmas and since then I really do not feel the Christmas Spirit. You would think after so many years it would get better, but the horrid memories stay with you. Take care of yourself and don’t worry about talking about it…it’s good to talk x
Jeannette your vlogmas has been fine. I can sympathize with you. I've been in a funk for a few months now...I haven't picked up my crochet hook in months. I hope I am out of the funk at the start of the new year. I am so glad you are feeling better health wise.
Lovely just to see you and catch up, we all have down days, I’ve been feeling sorry for myself the last few days on my videos with pain etc but it’s normal life isn’t it - real life, you’ve been really poorly and really really busy. Erik has his own clothes as he’s bigger than the others. I was thinking a Luna character might help you recover your mojo I want to make the otter. Did you get the Christmas box? Xxx
Personally, sounds like some burnout and I think you should just stop tour crafting for a couple days, longer if you need to. Stope setting all these things to do, it’s overwhelming with all going on.. Vlog if you like, I personally am not disappointed if you don’t finish a million projects! Lol. Relax, you’ve not felt well, you aren’t done with recovery, take care, slow down, stop starting new stuff because when you do and then can’t continue, you are getting bummed out. ❤❤
In addition, having just watched a bit more please, please don’t stop vloging, you’re enthusiasm keeps us going Jeanette x
Society makes us believe everything should be all sunshine and roses. Sunshine and roses wouldn’t be so nice if we didn’t have weeds and clouds. Thanks for keeping it real.

Hi Jeanette, I know exactly how you feel, I’m totally with you, for some reason I this year i just can’t get into the the Christmas spirit , but 🤞we get over it soon and in time to have a very Merry Christmas, 🤶
You are feeling reflective, which is normal for us all. Be kind to yourself ❤
Ah how lovely so pleased you like your little toadstool. All made with lots of love and fairy dust xxx
I absolutely adore it. Thank you so very much. Xxx
The only downside to watching podcasts is that I want to make all the things and buy too much 😂
I’m currently working on a cowl for a surprise for a friend and then I’m hoping to make another for a friend who has had a rotten year.
Hi Jeanette. When I feel down I volunteer. It brings me right back up!! Merry Christmas and thank you for a lovely channel 🥰
dont worry ive always had bad days with depression you get where you want to make something but you cant been like few days till you came on n showed me the reindeer i got from littlecotton rabbit think ive done them all now but love as it small
I really fancy making the duffle coat. Xx

Sending you lots of hugs Karen. Xxxx
Can understand how you feel l am going through the same feelings at the moment Don’t try to hard you will come through it .God Bless
You your videos please feel free to chat as much as you can ❤❤
Winter blues❤
We have had a really horrendous year involving family and friends. The stress has been so bad my doctor sent me to the mental health coach who recommended journalling. I have lost all my crafting drive, I’m just knitting on a pair of socks so I can knit around and around without thinking. Even the socks are taking me an age to finish.
I lost my Mum 17 months ago and I miss her at Christmas. I was with her for most of the last five years of her life. Hugs xxx
I am here when times are good and bad……listen to yourself and follow your heart……if it’s best to stop vlogging for a bit….do it xo🇨🇦
❤
Oh Jeannette. I really sympathise with you. I lost my lovely Mum on New Years Eve 1999…Millenium. She was in hospital all over Christmas and since then I really do not feel the Christmas Spirit. You would think after so many years it would get better, but the horrid memories stay with you. Take care of yourself and don’t worry about talking about it…it’s good to talk x
I’m not sure if you already know but your Oxalis will probably flower too, little white ones, mine just keeps pushing them up now and then x
Jeannette your vlogmas has been fine. I can sympathize with you. I've been in a funk for a few months now...I haven't picked up my crochet hook in months. I hope I am out of the funk at the start of the new year. I am so glad you are feeling better health wise.
I don’t mind if you just talk gibberish, I just like watching and listening lol😂😂 ❤❤
You have had covid, been battling with chest and family issues, take some time ,sit back and enjoy what u do, u will get back to things in time
Lovely just to see you and catch up, we all have down days, I’ve been feeling sorry for myself the last few days on my videos with pain etc but it’s normal life isn’t it - real life, you’ve been really poorly and really really busy. Erik has his own clothes as he’s bigger than the others. I was thinking a Luna character might help you recover your mojo I want to make the otter. Did you get the Christmas box? Xxx
No I missed it. I was so cross with myself as I set an alarm and couldn’t remember why but it wax for the box😥🤷♀️
I don’t mind if you just talk gibberish, I just like watching and listening lol😂😂 ❤❤
