I agree with you guys about the video quality comparison with other dashcams, as well as your overall conclusions. I'm surprised to hear that Cobra isn't selling hardwire cables. They're readily available from other brands and any generic one should work fine. The USB SmartCord looks to be the same one Escort uses so you should be able to use an Escort smart hardwire cable if you'd also like a remote mute button and alert LED as well.
I hate logging into the unit via Wi-Fi. Why? I cant be connected and use my phone apps at the same time. I get voice controlled messages from an app when driving, but not if my wifi is taken up.

Yo Alex, Just by accident I came across a video clip filmed with what appears to be the soon to be released Viofo A129 *Plus* The video was filmed 6/24/20 in Brasov, Romania. It’s a two minute clip, and the UA-cam resolution settings say it’s 1440p@60fps. The footage looks pretty darn good. If this is offered in a duo, and the rear camera is also 1440p@60fps I will be happy as a clam! Do you know anything about this? I’ll leave a link to the video in a separate comment just in case it gets stuck in UA-cam’s spam folder. -Chuck
Hi Chuck, absolutely. The VIOFO A129 Plus is coming soon, but it ended up getting delayed for various reasons. It will be released as a 2CH dash cam, but there are a number of details that are yet to be finalized, so we will have more for you soon once we get our sample unit in :)

Great video Very well explained I’ve been looking forward to in one where are detector and dash cam together sounds great I don’t mind paying a little more for something that would exceeded expectations and be convenient. I miss placed mine Escort passport I bought at Best Buy but you know it’s time for an upgrade and I have a 700 hp where Shelby Cobra 2014 hundred it’s basically set up like a race car so if people either want to get pictures of it or they want to run me out you wouldn’t believe what I go through as a woman trying to arrive alive in this car it sounds like a Harley motorcycle with the four pipes in the back there’s nothing like a Shelby cobra old-school to draw attention to yourself that you don’t want it’s a collectible so I need all the help I can get filming what’s really going on around me and protecting my anonymity. Thank you for having that wonderful summary tell me what I need to know it is a shame he doesn’t have some kind of parking monitoring she can see what people are doing around your car when you’re not in front of it that’s the only thing I can see it latch

Cobra is so bad in both of them scan radar and dash camera I will not ever buy anything from them cause I have bought a lot of project and all of them is So bad I just lost my money for nothing
Cobra radar detectors were acquired by Escort Radar which are all under the Cedar Electronics Group. Escort also acquired Beltronics and all detectors are currently manufactured by Escort. Quality for Cobra detectors is way up.

Please check your data on not being able to be hard wired. Another UA-camr has it powered through his existing Escort power cord.

Yes it does , mine is hardwired , they have a mirror kit as well as just the wiring kit.

If a dashcam is all you need the thinkware pro is the better option, a lot simpler to set up and use 👍

How big of a memory card will the scout take and what kind?
Hi Adam, it will take max 32GB SD card, and we recommend SanDisk A1 or above.
