    I get confused, can someone please clarify? By definition isnt gametophyte and sporophyte referring to a state of being, not an object or piece of the plant? I hear it as being used referring to an piece of the plant in parts of the video and it trips me up, I'm really trying to undersrand this concept

      Sporophytes simply means 2n state after fusion of male(n)and female(n) sporophtye is a stage that grows on gametophyte so simply every plant contain two stages gametophtyic(n) and sporophytic(2n)

    If gametophytes reproduce by mitosis how does it get different gametes (male and female)?

      I think they are two plants,Female plant produce female spores(mega spores) and male plant produce male spores(microspores)

    • @mehakchauhan5908
      @mehakchauhan5908 4 місяці тому +1

      Or as gametophytes have archegonium and anthredium which produce male and female gametes as the fuse they produce zygote

      Actullly they divide by mitosis
      Then because of syngamy become 2n diploid

    you've destroyed my brain🥲🥲just now I've read the topic alternation of generations from my textbook. I was happy that i understood the topic but was a bit confused 🥲🥲now after watching your explanation 😭I forgot everything 😓you're totally a "confusion" See if you're not clear with something just don't do it! don't make student's brain damage. Don't take it a negatively🙄but this is the truth.

      it was a really good video dont stick the blame on others. if you were not able to understand its not their fault.
      try watching videos in your language because your english is clearly not good so you are having a hard time understanding this here. peace .

      I got your problem because that happens to me alot you get confused in many things the videos in youtube say another things and book says other. That happens cause you mixed up information or took wrong direction or proceed in wrong manner that not's videos fault.
