- Are We Cool Yet? is an SCP Foundation Group of Interest.
Are We Cool Yet is an artistic movement existing on the fringes of the international avant-garde, with roots in the early surrealist art movements of the late 19th and early 20th century and the growing scientific understanding and study of the anomalous that began to develop during that time.
The largest and most visible gathering of AWCY? artists in any place or time is "Sommes-Nous Devenus Magnifiques?", a grand exhibition held every ten years since 1874

I wonder if this had all been a misunderstanding, and when he whispered "Are we cool yet?" he didn't mean "Have we become magnificent?" but "Is our feud over now?"
Yo bro we cool?
No your lame-th
nope!
theres a message under the AWCY logo that says something about art shouldnt be censored,so i dont think so.
It meant that and more.
Nothing I love more than ambiguous semantics =D
the creator of the awcy goi did confirm its used as the, "Stop hitting me! Are we cool yet?" if you can find the post he made.
Dude that thumbnail.... 🤣 ... that's one way to start my morning guys thanks! 😆 starting with a smile.
Bruh that thumbnail scared me…god
Same the way to start a Monday morning
I wonder what the mindset was of the individual who created the sculpture known as SCP-173. Could the sculpture be the artist's interpretation of humans as a whole? Maybe they feel that all humans do is destroy and give back nothing good in return. Maybe the person chose those two actions of snapping necks and defecating to symbolize violence, how quickly people can destroy, and how little humans contribute to the world as far as making it better. The fact that the sculpture only takes action when not looked at could also be meant to symbolize how narcissistic people can be.
big brain
brain pic
It was created to destroy an SCP iirc, watch scp-001 the black moon
In one of the SCP video, SCP-173 is a sculpture created as an art to be admired, which is why when SCP Foundation enclosed it inside a room, it got angry and kill everyone who stop admired (paid attention) to it.
Man, scp fans have some brain capacity i cannot comprehend. Wow.
SCP-2741 aka "A sinister device" is probably their most hilarious piece of art.
What is that one?
@@kingjamesbond4009 a statue that makes you "sinister". If you are a right hand person, it'll turn you in a left hand person .
@@Dr.C.Shadow bruh XD
RIP Sinister Skeleton Box, you will be missed
@@Dr.C.Shadow
What happens if you’re ambidextrous, do you lose your hands completely? 🤔
tbh, the SCP explained channel is a SCP in its own right as you put out a high quality video seamlessly everyday
I guess they're just another product of The Factory
These guys are also the same people on other channels like “bright side”
“Voice artist, hello”
Dunno why but that made me laugh
I think it’s the delivery, Hunter is just a really funny person. He’s the main reason I got into SCP because I heard that he was the main va for this channel
I once read a rather interesting project from the AWCY hub that really exemplifies the kind of mindset these anartists have.
The concept is a piece of performance art in the form of a mock courtroom trial. They start by kidnapping someone in the vicinity to play the "defendant". Then they implant false memories in this person of them committing a heinous crime. Specifically one that they determined (through anomalous mind-reading) that this specific individual considers especially disgusting. Then they erase the memory of the whole procedure, and the main performance starts. They are put on trial for this fake crime, and inevitably sentenced to death. Real death, not "part of the show" death.
The artist said that he was inspired by a trial that he himself was the defendant in. He intended to convey how he felt mistreated by the justice system. He also specified that he was actually guilty of the crime he was accused of, but doesn't consider that fact relevant to the point.
He never got to show it off to the art world, though. During a trial run of the performance, he was killed when the "defendant" shot him with a gun that was provided as an experimental "wild card".
I liked how Hunter broke the 4th wall by saying hello at 0:46.
I read your comment right when he said that, lol
@@KlaxontheImpailr 😄
@@KlaxontheImpailr Me too!
Love the SCP videos! 10/10 as always!!
On a different note, time to go head to head with R We Cool Yet:
"Complaining about a problem without posing a solution is called whining."
-Teddy Roosevelt
The fatal flaw of the Are We Cool Yet ideology is the notion that these * artists * somehow think themselves apart from, or above, the whole of humanity that they often loath. It's a stellar example of narcissism.
They are all too eager to comment and bring attentions to many issues and faults of humanity; yet, contribute nothing to the resolution of these said issues (of which many may arguably be non-issues). Their creations do little to forward any agenda in fixing the faults and problems of humanity that they perceive. On the contrary: some of their works actively hinder human progress. The artists seldom display regard for life or the free will and autonomy of others; a trait that is reflected in their horrific work. Their an-art, if anything, only serves to further hinders human progress and is counterintuitive. The soapstone statue is an ironic testament to the prryhic and hypocritical nature of the group.
I wouldn't go as far to say all cases follow this notion of hypocrisy and counterintuitiveness. I am sure there are examples of an-art that is more of a progressive influence in their agenda to fix the flaws of humanity.
In the end, it seems to me that many of the Are We Cool Yet members express an ideology that is similar to a whiny, angsty teen who is sick of something but too lazy to fix it. Or as my favorite narrator puts it: I guess I *JUsT dOn'T GEt iT MANNNN"
Love that we're seeing more Group of Interest focus videos:]
I have an idea for some anart. Work with several anartists to change or create a counterpart to their creations to balance out the effects anomalously and discretely, but create a secret art movement dedicated to appreciating their pieces. Invite only. That’d be pretty darn cool
AWCY is one of my favorite scp organization. The thought that you can create artifacts with powers like in stories would be reall cool
“So what shape are you gonna give to this sculpture?”
*”P e a n u t”*
This was a delight to listen too.
It's been a long while that I get to appreciate what I learned in Art History. That was very well written. Thank you for covering this. ❤
Ok that ending sentence was on point👌 good job you guys~~
What fascinating journey into one of the things not often covered by SCPs in general: anomalous creators. I mean other than Doctor Wondertainment we don't have a lot of people who sign SCPs.
Dado
Been waiting for this one, AWCY is my favorite GOI, they have such unique takes on how to use anomalies, and their document format contains some fascinating commentary on the role of art and perception in shaping our reality
True but sadly in the story Quiet days AWCY never did become cool.
I feel like these guys along side the serpents hand would be my peers ( Don't worry I probably be in one of the less violent cells) if I was in the SCP universe * holds up the giant (roughly 6 ft) posable 682 doll she made* I would definitely make anomalous dolls if I could lol
Nice! I’ve been waiting for this group of interest for sometime.
Another episode with more pieces of art discussed would be cool. Yet.
Love your content.
Not the Kim Kardashian pose in the thumbnail. you guys are crazy I love it.
Yes a vid that I am early at! I love this channel!
Gamers against weed is one of my favorite groups of interest because they're just lil trouble makers, they don't want to hurt anyone. Just little pranksters.
5:26 : the Eiffel tower's construction only started in 1887, not in the 1870s.
The thumbnail is so fine 😫
Truth
Thank you for the video.
Nice work
Looking forward to watching this! 🍿
Thanks for finally looking at this group
Great job with the accents, as always!
i think the message means that they created a conceptual object which scans rather interestingly when you recall that in the Black Moon video it was the foundation trying to make a voodoo doll of sorts to halt Black Moon events that led to the creation of Peanut
Several members of the AWCY SCP forums, actually came out in a vice documentary.
As being part of the 3D gun printer movement, with some awesome designs bty.
Peanut breaks the internet
The coolest anart story is when Are We Cool Yet? drew an army of ink and fire to fight the army of the apocalypse to a standstill. And When the army of god realized that they aren't gaining any ground, AWCY wrote "Are We Cool Yet?" in the sky.
I liked how when he started he was listing examples like “It can be harder to catch than SCP-682” but I forgot the example of the hardest to explain
I laughed so hard at the thumbnail
The SCP foundation, the most mysterious and interesting foundation
Agree
Better than make a wish
@@Dr.Bright17 Glad to see you here, professors Bright
@@Dr.Bright17 Well, when you have a name such as Dr Bright when talking about the SCP foundation, it's surprising that nobody would notice
Ryuji: I think anart should be destroyed if its that dangerous... Id make something just for the sake of destroying the anart like an anomaly.
The artist who made that thumbnail deserves some recognition, too. :D
What’s the thumbnail a reference to I know what the photo is called but not the name of the person?

As an artist I would like to submit my application for all of the groups. If any member of foundation are reading this. You do not recognize the bodies in the water
Gamers Against Weed actually seems like a cool and fun group to be part of
I love how he said voice actor hello
Wow that was really cool.
That thumbnail had me dying

What fine art.
Upvoted just for that thumbnail.
They finally did it! So glad!
Damn, and to think Evan Royalty almost made a movie with this
0:01 THE SPECTER
I like this focus on a GoI! Can you make an episode on dado next?
Can you make videos about the Horizon Initiative and Mr. Literal Serial Killer?
alright, time to tie together some new points on the groups of interest in my Beautiful Mind room of SCP lore
Can you do a video about clowny clown clown or the princess and her bodyguards?
the creators of this channel: hmmmm how can i sneak 682 in every single video
also my current favorite scp group nby!!!
ngl the ending was my favorite part
Hey could you do a video on SCP-2433 next?
Kind of wanna join AWCY now
One of my favorite scp's related to are we cool yet is a box with a skull up top that makes right handed folks left handed, since people say left handed are better at painting or drawing on a piece of paper. I forgot the number of the scp, but it's an interesting one.
Edit: it was SCP-2741: a sinister device.
Can’t say the number off the top of my head, but it’s actually a pun! The title of the SCP is “Sinister” or smth to do with the word sinister.
If you’re already left-handed, the box will tell you that you’re already very sinister. Because that was the old term used to describe left-handedness! It’s a really neat SCP based off of wordplay
Did the sinister device get kicked by some scientist and lose its anomalous ability’s
@@Cosplaybuddygiraffes Sinister is defined as the left-hand side in heraldry, while Dexter is the right.
If there's an AWCY member reading this (if this were in the SCP universe), try making this same device but would instead make people right-handed. Call it "A Dextrous Device".
Thank you
hey wouldnt it be cool if you could do more kaktusverse?
The group name also serves as their calling card in a way, as they incorporate the phrase into their work in some way or use the acronym in some way
Also, they do alot of def cad stuff :3
Please cover AWCY noncanon storyline "The Cool War", or at least Ruiz Duchamp
They are pumping these out faster than scp-073 can snap a neck
Happy Easter
Same to you!
gamers against weed is one of the most interesting and generally fun GOI i vibe with them hard
Scp pl 126 is a nice piece of art you should cover next
Can u do the carbon soldier 7247 next?
15:52 somebody made asylum films ghost shark an SCP
Can you do a video on the horizon initiative
There was an actual band in the late 60s early 70s called the 5th Dimension.
Did Cool Yet Radio make the song of genesis?
Do promethus labs and also Anderson robotics
I think redflare 500 is one of them or nCaD because i have no idea why there art looks so good.
A sign saying "Have we become magnificent?" over the American flag.
Oh the ironic symbolism.
4:39 this guy took the time to write the whole FNAF lore with them fingers
AWCY sounding rad tbh
16:20 Goddamn it, Damien Hirst
The thumbnail made me want to gouge out my eyes, replace them, before gouging them out again
can you make a 682 vs 001(when day breaks) please?
I love the idea of 173 as a model in the thumbnail 😭
cool
Can you do the shark punching center
3:39 Gotta get back, back to the past, Samurai Jack
Voting in for a full GOI list, "Enemies and Allies to the Foundation"
Allies:

- Prometheus Labs.
- The Horizon Initiative.
Enemies:

do we count those from the foreigns branches?
@@tomskowski6239 nobody is sometimes useful to them sometimes not. I wish we had more nobody interacting with foundation tales tho
@@tomskowski6239 Its also the Russian guys and the Horizon Initiative that are also enemies of the Foundation.
Quick question, what is SCP -001 in the Pictures of the start of the video, because i thought SCP-001 was when the day breaks?
Can you guys review the Shark Punching Center?
GAW is still the best splinter group and group of interest
Wait so 092 makes everyone into Dani whenever he makes a meme review video
Ngl the first time I heard AWCY it is were the guys that made the Poison SuMac
Never expected it to be an actual GoI named Are We Cool Yet
Yes
Not SCP-173 posing like kim kardashian for thumbnail-
Funny…some of my Chaos Insurgency, in my headcanon, actually WOULD have a problem with AWCY? for not giving a damn who their anart happens to be pointed at!
I bet you didn’t notice when the voice actors switched
Every dad be like are we cool yet
Did they also create The Predatory Street Art or The Song of Genesis?
Yall should make hoodies, I would wear an scp 049 hoodie allll day long
