Bra Dave. When ever you bring music legends I make sure I watch with my mom. She would even take over and start telling ahead. I feel that she feels that her Era is brought back to her. ❤
Oh wow!!, does this generation realise how lucky they are to have this kind of archive that Bra Dave is creating🙌🏾… so appreciative for stories such as these to have a place in history, uBab’ uBabsy is up there with the very best💫💫💫
A music legent, Babsy Mlangeni. Music chose you!!! Long before I became a musician I loved your songs and they may even have influenced to be a musician. Thanks.
David thank you very much for these fully loaded interviews that you do, I knew about Ntate Mlangeni at an age we used to use his name to belittle other kids who could not see and our parents used to play his music. It's really an experience now to learn about his music and his interesting story and unfortunately the damage we were doing to these other blind kids in our areas. Just love how podcast allows for proper interviews for powerful stories and history of our music in this case by Ntate Mlangeni
I was born in 1978 and since ke tlhalefa,a blind person was called BabsyMlangeni.i only understood kabo 1990 that He is a Star that defies the odds about his blindness. I have a son with Autism and i learnt to let him be and through time,i learnt to embrace him and i reflected on boNtateMlangeni le boNtateKekana who where genuises in their talents...rea leboga NtateMlangeni for giving yourself to the world so that you can inspire.i am so happy to see you on this podcast i i feel you represent NtateKekana too and i bow. "Ngibambeni ngezandla ngincedeni ngifuna ukuwela ingilandi, ngicedeni ngiyi mvana" Ohhh those were the days. When we used to have a cinema 🎥 at home we played most of his songs.😊

Dis ability used to be taken good care of during the apartheid years but now in this era the ANC has been fading gradually until is very minimal. Yes we can blame apartheid as bad but there were also good things for our disabled black people. It's only that politics I was told that politics is a game of the FOOLS!!! I remember the late great Michael Jackson saying that " black or white, DANGEROUS."
Thank you highly.. Mr Mashabela may I kindly suggest you consider dedicating an episode to bring our beauty "queens/ "personalities of the time" Mme Cynthia Change/ Augustine Masilela / Jacquie Mofokeng/ Peggy Sue / Joanne Ramogoshi/ Claire Mawisa. Mitchell Molatlou( RIP🌹)
If a blind man can change or influenced the lives of those who see, but those who see cannot change or influence the lives of those who can't see, walk or talk, wht this world it's all about???!!! One of the greatest classical music composer/ performer was BEETHOVEN and he was DEAF, couldn't hear a damn!!! How did he do it nobody knows or even cares.
This legend bro Babs is someone who's very smart ,i knew him closer from early 90s when i was working with my producer Hamilton (bro Hem) Vala Nzimande at Gallo Music Productions [ GMP]. I had opportunity to wok with this guy and we sometimes went and practice/ rehearse at his house. He is the legend indeed.😂😂😂❤❤
