From Wiki- "In the future, the world is ravaged by wars, nuclear disasters and pollution. Mutations become common, resulting to individuals and creatures with mutant superpowers who unite in crime and become supervillains. However other individuals decide to unite their powers for the common good and become superheroes.
The game is set in the post-apocalyptic New Jersey-New York-Pennsylvania Tri-state area, where the player controls a team of off-beat and often useless superheroes who battle a number of strange enemies, most notably the evil Dr. Entropy, a human jack-in-the-box with plans to bring chaos in the world.
The missions in the game were typically bizarre and often satirised present-day society."
"Anytime the player can choose their off-beat team from a retinue of characters. The off-beat protagonist is the Crimson Tape, whose power is to make organizational charts. His off-beat companions are the Iron Tummy, who can eat any amount of spicy food without suffering intestinal distress, Treader Man who is a fantastic swimmer, the Tropical Oil Man, who defeats villains by giving them high cholesterol, the Oxide Man who can damage mechanical enemies such as robots etc.
Every character has three stats which help him in battle: Brawn stat determines weapon damage, Brains affects the effectiveness of super powers, and Toughness is the character's defense.
Each character can be taught or achieve secondary superpowers by drinking colored liquids bought or found anywhere in the game. Superpowers mostly are used in combat, although the superpowers of some characters are just a part of the plot (e.g. for solving certain puzzles)."
When the first question about the soundtrack is not "how's the soundtrack?" but "is there a soundtrack?", that's how I like my game reviews.

The humour kinda reminds me of Monkey Island. Damn, i would have loved this! I remember downloading it from a BBS (sorry!) and had no idea what it was, but couldn't get it to run :(

Got this on my galaxy 8 android, with Magic DosBox. Just started playing it again after 25 years. I got to the steroid men x3 and couldn't get past them. This game is like the movie Mystery Men!
This is so cool, its like if the more classic fallouts had a baby with the superhero genre plus its in my home state.

Oh shit i didn't know you live in south jersey too, it's funny because i live close to AC. Any way great review, I kind of wish more satirical and humorous role-playing games are made today such as this game and Anachronox instead of the usual dramatic rpgs because of how rare and unique they can really be.
I love Anacrhonox ...wish we got a sequel or the trilogy the wanted to make ..and yep I was born in camden NJ!

I remeber picking this up for a couple of bucks in box in a used computer store years ago .I dont have it any more but it was funny . I played it in the winter when much wasn't going on , I played it for a while a couple of friends wanted to know why I was still playing it . I told them to grab a drink and watch, then they understood what a trip this game was. I really didn;t get a long way into it , but it was very fun in a very strange way .

Perhaps try playing Lisa the painful rpg... It has simillar surreal atmospheare, goofy writing but often uses dark and serious themes. It also has wide cast of party members with weird 'useless' abilities

I did not catch that ..kudos for pointing it out .. I've been all over the east coast and most parts of Jersey when I was with the Youthcore ..never went to hoboken tho
Shit I wish I had the power to see thru pizza boxes, I would had spot many fuckups with my order long before giving the money to the delivery gal ._.
