Bye bye Les, you gave us so much happiness with your singing over the years. B A Y B A Y B A Y C I T Y with an R O L L E R S Bay city Rollers are the best. RIP sweetheart. Xx
Am I right in thinking some American young cheerleaders made this chant up and performed it for my true loves just after they played on some TV programme? I certainly don't remember it being chanted in England. ( And if you're interested my favourite was Derek - I worried that he would feel hurt by the fact that he was not the girls' favourite. I think I could have saved him. )
You can tell he enjoyed what he was doing ,but killed it ,but hes a legend ,seen him a few times at butlins and had a great dance good entertainer ,hope you are carrying up in heaven God bless you me dear
I used to play "keep on dancing" by the rollers on bell record label, was that before they regrouped to become the rollers that we know, was Alan one of the very first originals?, they were superb throughout the seventies...💃🔥🏃🤗
Even after all these years they came back for the fans. I commend them, they were a great band & still deserve respect for their all they did to make us happy. They never got paid for their concerts in their youth, yet they came back for US. I can appreciate that. Wish Eric & Derick could have joined them. Woody is always a "scream" !!!! Love the pants Woody! Love the kilt too! A good bunch of guys! Wishing them all the best, thanks for the nice video share......................................................love u Woody!!!!
Aww Alan was smiling the whole way through that song. If it wasn't for him and is brother and their ambition to have a hit song. The phenomenon of the BAY CITY ROLLERS would never have happened.. Love you ALAN! ♥️
It’s so sad to know that we’ve lost Alan in 2018, Ian in August last year and now Les. A group of great men who did this for their fans showing love. Let’s hope the best for the remaining rollers we have with us still. 🥺
I was a roller fan I admit..they were as good as any other in there time .the sad part is how some bastard ripped them off...I hope that person or persons get there karma. ...thanks guys for the memory's it was a good time growing up with you and your music ..love and light .
W,as in the tent from 6pm. This band was oozing crowd atmosphere, crowd abundance, crowd numbers, crowd excitement/enthusiasm, more than any other act on that stage this night. But what struck me was the joyous sound, non repetiveness, not boring listening, generating from the stage during the time The Rollers were on that stage. One can be not into the band, but one could not say that the music they play is dull in ten feet high letters. Cos it certainly is never dull. The music that comes from any stage the Rollers with Les stand on, is over the top Happy music. Hard to be down listening to what transpires from any stage Les stands on.
Rest in peace. How sad 😭 is this? So happy they were still appreciated. I was 6 in 1974 but had older sister's. God help me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Loved the Bay city Rollers. 👀🤣🤣. Bye bye baby was number 1 in 1975🇬🇧.
A huge part of my childhood. My first crush was Eric. My mum had sewn tartan on my jeans and denim jacket. All I wanted was badges and patches. So sad for Les and Alan. A big part of the 70s for many grown ups today
Yes, Alan was my favourite too. His quiet and gentle personality made him so lovable.... not to mention that he was soooo handsome. Seeing him as an older man it comes across that he was also a very beautiful person inside. RIP.
Mixture of emotions while listening 🎶 my best friend loved Bay City Rollers 😍 she literally drove me nuts with her dreams of marrying Les even dragged me to the newsagents as someone at school said there was a piece on him... Now both sadly passed away 😢 I often think! Have they met up in heaven? Wonderful thought ❤ ♥
@@sansui77 Thicko, he came here to 'watch' him perform and 'listen' to him sing, doesn't mean he likes them, because with that stupid brainless reasoning, YOU must like every politician you have ever 'listened to and every singer, band & orchestra, you must like Fred & Rosemary West and probably Hitler as well, because YOU will have watched things about them, YOU must like them? IDIOT!
I know this can be.a little fantasy b.s. but thanks Bay City Rollers. Especially Alan because I was a tween and thought you were cute. But mainly I appreciate and want the best for you and your family
My future husband... well, about forty-odd years ago. I recently found out that some of them were molested by their monster of a manager, Tam Payton. It's what sent Derek and Les down their respective dark paths, although I know Les was also very damaged by the car accident. He and Woody were so very, very young, weren't they? I was still such an innocent little girl at their age...TP was a horrible man, right down there with Jimmy Savile. (Quick spit into the loo, please do excuse me.)
Magic! Just read Alan Longmuir's book. In many ways a sad tale, but still an interesting read. Good to see three Rollers back on stage and enjoying themselves! All 5 would have been better, Eric Faulkner, shame on you for missing out on this! Pop stars eh?
He stayed in hotel I work (not atm covid) in on breakfasts,in liverpool in about 2018,you could tell he was a star, walked in, in leather coat, trendy boots, waited at breakfast buffet like every one else,I chatted to him he was really lovely x
I’m in tears at the end when the audience sang. They were loved so much by their adoring fans. Rip Les the legend that you are.

They are just killing this. Even better than in the seventies. God’s speed darling Les. We’ll never forget you!
What the fuck do you expect from a 65 year old fuckin Wil young..come on !!
Surely killing it means ruining. This is good not bad
@@littlebigman5791 you are so clueless, obviously too uneducated to understand.
He was really talented and very cute. Makes one sad

Yes, Alan and Derek were among the originals! Tons of fun until this very day thanks to the interviews and performances shared by their fans! 😊
