S6 Obstacle Avoidance Micro Drone Flight Test Review

- Опубліковано 1 сер 2024
- This tiny drone includes a camera and an obstacle avoidance module. Its low price makes it a great practice drone for beginner fliers. Find it here bit.ly/S6-Dfrone
Pros
- Micro drone with carrying case for easy portability.
- Weighs only 61 grams and does not require registration in most countries (excluding those countries requiring camera drone registrations).
- Includes obstacle avoidance, headless mode, flip, and one key return capability.
- Records interpolated 4K still photos, and interpolated 1080p video at 25 fps directly to your phone. Video/photos are recorded using the WiFi_Cam app available on Google Play here bit.ly/WiFi_Cam_Google and for iOS here bit.ly/WiFi_Cam_Apple
Cons
- 3.7V 600mah battery provides relatively short flight time of around 5 minutes.
- Brushed motor drone. Its motor will eventually fail with time.
- Advertised with an 8K camera. However the camera's video and photos are obviously interpolated (electronically enlarged) from a much lower resolution image sensor (I'm guessing 480p).
- Also advertised with optical flow capability. However, this may have been a planned feature that was never implemented as this drone will not automatically hover in place.
- It's also advertised as using 5G WiFi. This also was not implemented as the drone uses 2.4Ghz WiFi only. Fortunately 2.4 Ghz WiFi works with nearly all phones.

i was wondering if you have done a review on the jjrc x19 and if so could you send me the link?
No. I kind of have given up on reviewing JJRC drones. Many of the ones that I've reviewed in the past seemed to be problematic, and somewhat unsafe.
Tried to purchase on your page but could not make it happen.
It is out of stock right now. But expected to be back in stock by August 25th.
let me know where you store your drones .. it must be a warehouse around your house to store all the drones.
I don't keep them because of that reason (storage issues). Most get donated to local schools and charities.
@@Quadcopter101 whoaa you are so kind... I really want to be like you haha.
hello old friend you can't stop surprising me with these new drones lol. I make car content and I'm happy to see you're still doing drones. check me out!
Not in stock?
Supposedly next week.
Hi
First
First!
Congratulations. You were first to say First. You win a shoutout in a future QC101 video. Again, congratulations!
@@Quadcopter101 Thanks! Love the channel, watched a lot before I bought my DJI Mini 2.
Ohhh will keep an eye, wanna be first too
What are the odds someone by me this drone
Very low
Hello, Quadcopter 101! I just recvd a comment reply (supposedly from you) on my comment I left at your FIMI X8 video instructing me to "Telegram" you because I won a prize. Did I just get scammed?
Yep, that is a scammer. I would never do such. The only prizes I give out are shoutouts in my videos.
@@Quadcopter101 OK, Thanks! I've never seen that before on youtube comment sections.
So much deception with manufacturer's descriptions these days: interpolated low res video into crap high res photo, 'one button return' not return to home... these things just leave a bad taste in the mouth.
Not as bad as the false claims on the UA-cam ads for "This powerful $99 drone developed by two Navy Seals..."
When the cost is $35 you should know exactly what the real specs are.
Unlike the U.S. Military which was paying $5000 for that $99 drone. lol
Even at $99 the US military is getting ripped off, as that $99 drone is just the $48 Eachine E58. Must be Chinese Navy Seals developing it.
