Buchecha's punching form needs improvement. You punch 2 to 4 inches beyond the surface of target, but if you swing for the gates you over-extend. Also his thrust kick is terrible. It is so slow he may as well not even try that technique in a prize fight unless he gets some real training in how to actually throw a thrust kick correctly AND it needs to be in combination with some punches or grappling techniques at arm's length. You can't just throw one technique and expect it to do anything to another heavyweight's body.

@@seanl904 Tell you what, have Buchecha fight someone in Bare Knuckle Boxing Rules and see if he can last even one two minutes round. i bet he gets knocked right the hell out. That is literally the worst heavyweight fighter I have ever seen.

I love it when boxers or punch central dudes try insinuating that grapplers can't hold their own, I like to remind them how much they enjoy being able to walk and use their arms.
@@MorAodhan i don't doubt that hes good at grapplilng. I said, as a 6 years okinawan karate student, that his punching and kicks suck, which happens to be true. He can't even stand up while trying to punch.
What a gruelling battle! Reminded somewhat of those 90's Vale Tudo fights.
Great fight. Herb saved Kane a couple of times by stopping the fight when Buchecha had momentum. Yellow card meant nothing and allowed him to regain his senses and breath.
I've noticed over the last couple months. Herb sure has 0 patience when he does ONE events 😁. He's never had much patience for inactivity against the cage. But damn 😄 👏🏿 "let's work!!👏🏿👏🏿" 😁

Kane dominated the 1st round and blocked every take down attempt. gave him a leg kick that almost spent Buchecha around a brutal head kick man did you see his face. second round Buchecha had a minute and 1/2 of groung and pound Kane weathered the storm and got back on his feet Buchecha was so gases he continued to lay on the canvas to rest until dean made his stand up and fight. he took a brutal left hand and got desparate and tried to shoot for a single leg and got stuffed once again kane punished him nearly every time he tried a take down and dodged nearly all major shots and kept dominate top control. I don't know what fight you saw.

That was one of the best Heavyweight fights I've seen in quite some time. Both men were expending a tremendous amount of energy.
Nah. They wouldn't even hit me with their punching technique. I don't get hit by a heavyweight unless they throw at least 3 or 4 punch/kick combos. I'm just going to step back at an angle and work my snap kick and thrust kick, and they're going to miss no better than they are at punching.

the most brutal thing about this fight was the interview in the end. reug reug was so tired that he couldn't stand by himself anymore, he looked like he'd collapse in a second. but mitch kept asking him questions... "HOW U FEELING RIGHT NOW" and so on... it was torture.

This was a very explosively entertaining fight! I was impressed with how Buchecha absorbed such a relentless and merciless beating, yet, he kept fighting. The referee showed the leniency and compassion of Christ, by allowing Bucheca to repeatedly recuperate.
Almeida is one of the best jiu jitsu fighters out there, where was that in this fight?

Idky people think this was a great fight, it was a frustrating fight. Brazilian seemed slow as molasses and sleepy. Like he went for everything with 50% effort max, straight from the get go. I wonder if something was wrong with that guy.

Well stated! He was pushing his punches from the beginning as opposed to - firing from the hips. Wonder how much lifting this guy does because if you list heavy it can definitely slow you down (from the technique point of view)

Why do MMA guys come out so dry? I boxed for 20 years and prior to a match we would work up a sweat before we came out. It wasn’t this crazy intense workout pre-fight at all but to get your muscles and mind in tune. Lots of shadow boxing, hitting mitts, working on footwork and defensive head movement. It’s the same in boxing now where they come out bone dry and I don’t understand it bc the benefits of being warmed up are huge. Also, both these guys are most likely on some level of gear bc they both supposedly weight ~250-260lbs and both have clear cut abs. I’m not saying that don’t achievable naturally but both are definitely suspect
