- Solar Noon
As you're walking onto a beach, and the warm sand is shifting slightly underfoot with each step, you begin to sense a tinge of brine with with each gentle inhale. Squinting lightly against the Sun's brilliance you see the next rhythm of swells you'll soon be hearing, and the next.
You find a lovely spot, sit, and get comfortable. Your breathing begins to slow, naturally, as wave after wave slaps the rocks several meters in front of you. The midday air is warm and just a light breeze breathes. A few others are sharing these moments with you: two children yipping in the cool water off to the right, and later some dog-walking women laughing over to the left. Ahh ... the sounds of life. At some point, a squadron of pelicans flies by. Welcome to Malibu, California!
This fifty-nine minute meditation video is intended to bring the calm, comfort, and serenity of a summer seashore right to your video display. Use headphones for the best audio experience, if you have them. The session opens with tree long dings of an 18th Century Himalayan bowl, and one ding closes.
Just sit, breathe easily, and relax.
Please note that this recording includes a Himalayan bowl's volume swell and ring at Solar Noon - 13:01 PDT, on this particular day - which is when the Sun is crossing the local meridian, due South. This occurs at 48:18 into the video. For the ten or so minutes before and after you're within the Sandya, that span of time on either side of the cardinal points of meditation (sunrise, solar noon, sunset, midnight), where access to universal consciousness is potentiated.
Enjoy.
