Harmonic Meditation, Antique Singing Bowls, Em7/D Chord, 6 Minutes, Calm, Comfort, Serenity
Harmonic Meditation
Sit or lie down. Close your eyes. Allow your body to relax, and your mind to become calm, and still. Begin breathing easily, and when ready, press "play." Then, explore the unique tonal elements of four singing bowls that combine to produce an enveloping harmonic composition. Enjoy!
Three of these bowls are several hundred years old, and the fourth could be, or not. No way to verify. One is an old Himalayan bowl, one is a more recent Indian bowl, and the other two are Korean bell-brass bowls. Together they build an E minor seventh chord in the third inversion (Em7/D). And, as these bowls are vibrating at their fundamental pitches, they also generate strong overtones, even richer sonic complexities, that further deepens the meditation.
This mini-sound bath is just six minutes, and is organized around roughly twenty-second phrases. You might want to sync your breathing to this cycle. That is, inhale over the arpeggiation, and exhale over the sustain. You'll breathe in for about eight-seconds, and breathe out for around twelve. Perhaps you'll lock into the sympathetic beats, the rhythmic pulsing created by the complementary frequencies of each bowl.
Immerse yourself in the tones, the harmony, the sonic wave action, the reduced breathing rate, and, well ... relax. Embrace calm, comfort, and serenity, as calm, comfort, and serenity are all embracing you.
The meditation begins with three dings of a diminutive (3 7/8", F6) Korean bowl. It continues, in order with an 18th Century Himalayan bowl (10.25", E3/C4), the Indian bowl of uncertain pedigree (6 3/4", D3), and the Korean bowls, one deeper (5", G3), the other shallower (6 1/2", B3), respectively. It ends as the bowls fade, and gently silenced.

20 Minute Gong & Bowl Meditation with Iyengar Quotes & Pictures
Переглядів 34День тому
Enjoy this 20 minute, gong-accompanied homage to the father of modern yoga, B.K.S. Iyengar. A Paiste 34" Symphonic Gong is hit every 60 seconds, and mallet rolls rumble in-between. As well, an 18th Century Himalayan bowl, and tiny bronze chalice are rung, at once, every 60 seconds. Each sound serves to bracket the reading of Iyengar's quotes on yoga. Rather than just watching, or listening recr...

First Quarter Moon of Lunation 1232 represents a change of state. Breathing pattern for this class is known as a box breath, a four-count for each inhale, retention, exhale, suspension. Light, slow and deep. Postures alternate between folds, bends, then left and right twists. In contrast with typical classes that fold, fold, fold, bend, bend bend, etc., this class alternates between compressing...
Solar Noon - Ocean Waves, E4 / C5 Himalayan bowl, Deep Meditation - Calm, Comfort, Serenity (59 min)

Solar Noon As you're walking onto a beach, and the warm sand is shifting slightly underfoot with each step, you begin to sense a tinge of brine with with each gentle inhale. Squinting lightly against the Sun's brilliance you see the next rhythm of swells you'll soon be hearing, and the next. You find a lovely spot, sit, and get comfortable. Your breathing begins to slow, naturally, as wave afte...

Equinox On this late-September evening I too made my way to the outskirts of the LA County Line at the north end of Malibu, CA. Many cars were parked along PCH (Pacific Coast Highway), and a commensurate number of people were standing on the beach, or atop two-story rock outcroppings. We're here for the same reason. That is, to see the Sun set due West, on this Autumnal Equinox. BTW, the same s...

Sunrise Minutes before the dawn, with the Last Quarter Moon directly overhead, the Kitty Hawk beach is coming to life. A lone sand piper pokes into the surf line, a couple of sand crabs pop up from their lairs, and a dozen or so other morning-people prepare to welcome a new day. A trio dings of an 18th Century Himalayan bowl opens this short meditation, and a volume swell and ding closes it. Be...

Oooooooo
Thank you! ☺️ 🙏🏻
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks so much
You're welcome! 😊
Thank you, sir. It helps. Btw, Drozd means Blackbird (🇷🇺)
You're welcome. I'm pleased you find the video useful. Yes, I know "Drozd" is a bird. I've seen the translation as blackbird, and also as Thrush. They're supposed to have a lovely song, and be able to mimic human speech. I appreciate your pointing that out to me, nonetheless.
That hurts. Especially when he slowed down.
Felt good to me.
Tres belle technique
Merci
This running posture may not be very natural, the heels are too high and too close to the thighs. I doubt its effect on achievement.
Heels too high? That was a FAST run. They HAD to be high. Efficiency at the time was especially high, for me and my athletes. We practiced a lot. Natural? I recall running ins second grade and FEELING the same thing as I felt on this run, and others. Though I had to relearn running in 2000, my learning returned me to the most effortless, comfortable stride since my earliest running memories. It's not an overnight thing, however, as changing technique alters efficiency, perhaps reducing it for a while until the nervous system gets it wired
The lack of vertical movement is impressive! This looks very efficient
Thanks. Vertical oscillation is naturally reduced as pace increases, and this run was pretty fast. As well, at the time I was training/coaching quite a bit so my technique was reasonably good.
a really good method ! but difficult to master.
Yes, it can take a little while. Any skill can take time to learn and master. So, of course, does pedaling a bike, or swimming, playing tennis, golf, etc. What I do with my athletes is have them use a series of Pose Method drills to build their new technique - something separate and apart from what they had been doing - and in short order see them get the basics down pat. Over time they refine their skills, getting better and better, but they can learn the technique in an hour, or so. And, even if it takes days or weeks to get comfortable with Pose Method, it's worth the effort. Once you have it, you have it. Lastly, I don't think it's all that hard to master since the technique boils down to just pulling your foot from the ground (on time). It does take practice, and commitment. So, if you're still working on it, stay with it. You'll get it.
Good
Thank you.
Really Ideal nice smooth running, looking so effortless 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you.
not easy to master
for some it takes months
🎯 one minute that could save a lot of legs
And, happy to report, it has!
The BEST running video on UA-cam!
Thanks very much!
Nice sir, i use this pose in army rally
Thank you. Excellent! Carry on.
Which camera did you use?
IIRC it was a Sony DSLR. Sorry, don't know the model. (Probably whatever was top of the line in '13.)
Pull and fall nice pose sir
Thank you.
🤷🏼♂️ what are we looking at here? Seems like an excessively high pull in the back. Nearly kicking himself in the butt.
Well, when you are running fast the recovery foot comes up quite high. That was a fast run.
that is the method. to let gravity pull the runner
Looks great to me!
hope mine does not end up like that but mines a new one so should be better
Looking Great Christopher.......... I look forwad to riding with you soon. Mark Buell 1125R
Great job but the road sure look different than in person.
