Japanese ferry fans are also interested in this ship and its sibling M/V 2GO Masagana. You see, these 2 ships were the Hankyu Ferry ships Yamato(Maligaya)and Tsukushi(Masagana). Both were retired in 2019. 2GO bought the duo in 2020. Here's a crazy fact about the 2GO Maligaya: it almost went into European ferry service! You see, after retirement from Hankyu Ferry, Sweden's Stena Line acquired the ex-Yamato. In fact, they already picked out a name for this ship: Stena Nova. But then COVID struck, and Stena was forced to sell Stena Nova to 2GO, which was in the process of modernization of its fleet. 2GO acquired the ship, and soon after acquired its sister ship, the ex-Tsukushi, which became 2GO Masagana.
Your comparing apples to oranges of course travelling by ferry is much more superior than on planes since they tend to be bigger than planes, but if you want faster travel a plane is a better option but as they say comfort over speed.
I took a ship going to Cebu in the '90s, and my experience was wild, fun and amazing. It's one thing I will never forget in my life. Everything is there. Night life, booze. It's one of a kind experience. It feels royalty, extravagant at it's best. It's like you checked in in a 5 star hotel. We saw dolphin along the way swimming side by side with the ship.
This is a nice thing for travelling further after arriving in the Philippines in Manila.. You can get rid of the Jetlag in such a room and arrive well-rested.. Also: There are ferries who go to Palawan.. You can go from Manila to Puerto Princesa, enjoy a few days there, and then use the 2go ferry to also get to Coron.. From Coron you take the plane back to Manila.. If Van is stressful for you and you are a comfy traveller, this might be your best option..
Great presentation with cinematography style of showing the blog. Well done. I doubt though if I could take that nice boat because of my health. I need a lift but it seems there's none. Free meals, great cabin room. Well done. Very posh boat plying between Cebu and Manila. Thank you guys! Enjoy the rest of your travels there.

Hello happy couple welcome back manila enjoy exploring beautiful ferry 2go nice coven room wow the view sunset so beautiful and enjoy pilipino snack delicious I like nagaraya god bless stay safe
My god I miss doing this. I accidentally discovered the joys of taking a slow boat to Manila in 2013 when I failed to buy a plane ticket on time - it was just the cheapest way to get to Manila from Cebu. I then discovered that they actually acquired the fleets of Negros Navigation and WG&A Superferry, which were legendary shipping companies that have fallen on hard times post the Asian financial crisis of 1997. The last 2Go I rode in 2017 broke down in Romblon Strait at 3:00 in the morning! We were stuck until just before sunrise. Romblon Strait is notoriously rough, thankfully we've had calm seas for days at that point even though it was mid-November. The captain was amazing too, he would regularly point us to this island on your left or that island up ahead or the island behind the one on your right, and he would point out interesting facts about each place. Like a tour guide you didn't know you needed to ease the boredom after your phones battery died. (2017 remember? Everyone avoided Samsung because of their exploding phone and we all just learned how Apple was screwing you over if you had an older phone.) It's really nice to know that 2Go is upgrading their fleet. With online work now being a thing I hope to be able to ride a boat again.
Very nice boat ride and lots of comfort to all passengers. Yes, we are in the internet era, but i'de rather deal with human to human interactions to get personal things done. I'm an old school fella, who rather solve problems there the Filipino way without the technology glitch. Thanks for sharing your adventures, by boat instead of going to Manila by plane. Enjoy and God bless
Great video on this cruise ferry experience to Manila. The most I've tried is just a 90 minutes ferry ride to Koh Lipe Thailand 😀. I'll try it next time when I do my travel channel experience in the Philippines. Keep up the good works ❤️
Where is your next destination after going back to manila? Are you going to visit the northern part of luzon guys ? Keep safe ❤️ hoping for more videos from Philippines 🥰

Even during late 1980s, going to Manila by boat 🛥️/ship took us 24 hrs or even more I guess? The well known ship was Dona Virginia ❤. Oh my my, those were fun days of my life 😊
As Filipino thats how we travel here in our country from island to other island we either go by plane, ship, bus, jeep, taxi, roro, jeep, motor boat, bike or tricycle. Im an islander from a small island of Samar and thats how I travel here and I'm used to it. Nice vlog. I enjoyed watching. Thanks for visiting Philippines.
"Thank you for coming to the Philippines! Your visit has been a delight for us. The opportunity to share our culture, traditions, and beautiful landscapes with you has been a pleasure. We hope you've enjoyed your time here, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Safe travels!"

How about the fish2go .. I love that
Thank you for the info!
cool story bro
so what's the name that sweden acquired today in the Philippines??
@@jheboii12051986 that ship is M/V 2GO Maligaya, formerly the Yamato of Hankyu Ferry and Stena Nova of Stena Line.
It's more fun and exciting traveling by ferry than plane ❤
I remember the video of Danny colleague of Ali And can't remember him..Danny is in this Ship...😊have fun beautiful couple.. GODBLESS ❤❤
True, but if you wanna get there faster then taking a flight is a way to go.
Your comparing apples to oranges of course travelling by ferry is much more superior than on planes since they tend to be bigger than planes, but if you want faster travel a plane is a better option but as they say comfort over speed.
@@Hi-tj2ox u can have comfort and fast if u have the money 😂
If u dont have sea sickness or motion sickness... lol

for reals. We used to go by boat from Cebu to Manila when I was a kid, and the ships were luxurious! They were like cruise ships lol

Haha yes, we are addicted to our phones and laptops around us
It's like Princess of the Orient the ship that I boarded from Manila to Gen Santos during the early 90's.
This treat is really good. Passengers would be very happy in availing this.
Very true
