Just got this 2 weeks ago! Absolutely a one of a kind experience, as is the OG V2 Chroma. I was always curious why they never implemented the clicky triggers on the Chroma, they feel great

Do you have any suggestions on Dongle replacements?
I hope they learn from this v2 pro, and use what they learn to make the new RAION perfect.
I feel like the shape and layout of the ps4 raion was perfect, except for a few lacks:
- no Bluetooth/wireless option for when you wanna play casual / single player games other than fighting games or shmups/etc
- 6 face buttons could be slightly higher to match level of the gorgeous clicky 8-way dpad
- haptics/rumble
- stormtrooper white/led/black aesthetics 😎

No Hall Effect Thumb Sticks is a No Buy !
It’s sad you got companies creating $200 to $250 dollar premium controllers but can’t be bothered to use Hall effect thumb sticks to ensure longevity of the controller without stick drift issues and it’s crazy cause even the regular controllers from Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo all use known defective thumb stick modules with widespread stick drift issues and if they wanted to fix the problem they wouldn’t intentionally use defective parts and instead they’d do what the Sega Dreamcast did almost 30 years ago and use Hall effect thumb stick modules.
Most Hall effect modules can’t have drift problems and the issue is these companies haven’t fixed the problem because they’re designing them defectively on purpose so they can continue to sell more and more controllers and it’s one of the greediest anti consumer god damned things imaginable yet they continue to do it
can tell you right now i had this since release date and i use it hard for every game no stick drift, every other controller i had before i get stick drift within 2 months, 9 months strong
i have a razer raiju and it's still doesn't have a stick drift 🤷♂
So it’s best to use the hyper speed dongle instead of wireless on console?

I'm a controller noob as well. Can the touchpad be used for mouse input like Steam controller?
So about this controller when I found out it was coming out I pre-ordered it and it came. I've been using it to play all my FPS games mainly Apex. I absolutely love the extra two buttons. The only downside to this controller is the quick triggers are not good. When I use the controller I don't use the quick triggers any more because they they don't actuate as fast as the triggers when they are on the full stop. The quick triggers on this controller are gimmicky. Now if you want a controller that has actual hair triggers look into purchasing the Vitrix Pro BFG.
Can the settings be further manipulated in the computer? Such as trigger deadzones and analog deadzones? Or is it just limited to the app?

No haptics, and handles not long enough for my hands, my hands aren’t even that big, but I felt that half the time I was trying to hold on to it
How durable is it? Only question pro controllers need to answer. Can it swap bits out?
How is the stick drift on this controller ?
I found a refurbished one for $139 so it’s definitely worth it?
Pretty much sold tbh, I don’t care for haptic feedback or built-in speak or the mic either I have a headset just concerned about longevity I’ve read it doesn’t have a long lifespan & the actual fitment while using it since it’s completely different from Xbox & PlayStation controllers altogether but I figure I’ll give it a chance !
That's funny but for me the two bottom back buttons are useless for me. Where the top two are easy for me to use.
I have the Xbox version and I love it but I just can't make it justifiable to buy the PS5 version when Sony has the pro controller a little cheaper, I'll wait for a sale. Another deal breaker also is to update the firmware for the controller you need to connect it to a Windows PC ,so if you have a mac you're left out. The Xbox version you can update it on the console itself.

I used to love the Razer wildcat/raiju I don’t know why they decided to move the back button placement and put it a lot more central it’s very awkward I think
Its fucking stupid, they have an xbox version and a ps5 version if u want the offset thumbsticks, get the xbox version if u want the same level joysticks...wait theres no fucking option for that makes no sense
Do you still have deadzone problem? Many users complained that analogs were not sensitive, deadzone was added as standard?
Its not fixed. Write the problem to the support they should know and fix this

I bought this controller in the past few months. After 1-2 months of long playing. It disconnects itself with dongle mode on ps5 and PC. I tried to connect it with the usb cable thru different usb ports on pc and ps5. Unfortunately it keeps on disconnecting. Tried updating the firmware to the latest. It still doesnt solve the problem. I bought 2 razer wolverine v2 chroma pro. One in black and in white. Both of them disconnects after roughly an hour and when i try to connect it again via dongle or cable it keeps disconnecting after a few seconds to minutes. I would still try to troubleshoot my controllers, because i am very satisfied with its performance (specifically the buttons) but in Competitive play this controller is unplayable because of itself disconnecting
Mine did the same thing it would randomly disconnect. I hated this controller I thought it was a complete POS the input delay blew my mind. I had wireless PS2 controllers that had less lag

You can buy rubber covers but otherwise you'll need to hit up razer

2:30 Yes! I still have this controller from like 3 years ago and its my favorite controller ever. The stick drift is just too unbearable now and Im looking for others, but its all so expensive. The design on the tournament edition was just so much better than all of these new ones, I really just wish I could buy another of the tournament edition ones.
What would you choose:
Victrix bfg pro OR wolverine v2 pro.
I find the xbox controller is the most comfortable and would prefer something similar for my ps5.

I got the victrix bfg pro but recently got the dualsense edge. I found that my k/d ratio went down with the victrix but went considerably up with the dualsense edge. The victrix is comfortable though which I am not sure how it compares to the razer.

I have a dual sense edge and wanted to try the vitrix for the 4 back buttons instead of 2 but after using the vitrix for a few days I was playing so much worse and it just didn't feel as good in my hands as the dualsense edge so I went back to the dualsense edge.
@@Jgk15010 I recently switched back to the victrix bfg pro and my k/d went up compared to the dualsense edge. I do miss the four back buttons as opposed to just two.
So I was extremely hesitant about the Wolverine V2 Pro... I have a DS Edge and the victrix BFG Pro which is getting that work playing SF6. So I did not have a need for the V2 Pro. But for whatever reason I needed to try it probably because of the clicks buttons and unique design. But I knew I would not be paying full price for this. Just could not justify it. GameStop dropped the price momentarily to 179.99(may still be this price) for the white version and I immediately snagged it about a week ago. I really enjoyed this controller. Haven't tried any FPS games with it but its been nice using on various sports games and SF6...It extremely feels great on SF6 even with having a dedicated fight pad on the Victrix. I could be better in other areas but if you can get it on sale I would recommend it.
@SkiiGuapo I would go with the Edge over this even with the shity battery life. You get more with the Edge than you do the Wolverine V2. For 250 it doesn’t even come with a case which is wild. The DS Edge is premium feeling, feels great, and cheaper than this controller at full price. The fact that is a Sony pro controller helps too…no third party apps.

What controller would you put as a alternate to this controller that is as good or better?
Yesss the wolverine with 4 buttons was the best controller ever made in history and idk what lead them to stop it
This might seem like a weird question, but if one of the extra buttons is remapped to dpad right, when you press left on the dpad and that extra button, what's the behavior of the software? Does it just cancel out the input or does it just switch to the new input? Edit: There's some pretty specific tech in 1 game that would be easier if it doesn't neutralize the dpad input.
I’m only assuming cause it depends on how the software takes the input, but essentially and simply I would assume the program will register both presses as ‘left on the d-pad’. It shouldn’t cancel it out, unless the game is programmed to do that for repeat inputs, if the game has some sort of input buffer, etc.
@@ZaWarubro I need both left and right dpad simultaneous inputs. It's ok if a new "right" or "left" dpad input overwrites the old one, but rn dualsense edge firmware cancels out both which us frustrating.
@@0Asterite0 I want to say it is possible, but will have to verify once I get home; you can alternatively assign actions that require simultaneous inputs to other buttons and exchange the actions of those buttons with the D-Pad.

What latency does this controller test at with the dongle?
If one would spend on a dual edge, might as well get this for $50 more? (Only if they care about RGB and stuff)

If you wanna get a precise, comfortable, most compiatable ps5 cintroller , go for ds edge, end of story, there are too many over expensive after market so called ps pro controller, imo most of them not worth it
Dualsense Edge over this, but i also love my razor controller
Daulsense only has 2 back buttons, once you get used to 4 you cant get back to just 2

I can’t for the life of me get this controller to feel good for FPS games!! My aim just sucks with it and I can’t stand it!
Dude the input delay on the wireless is apauling! I couldn't believe how slow it was. Once I plugged in it was ok but we paid for wireless and it legitimately isn't even usable.
1. The switches, particularly the mode switches are very fragile. Don't drop this thing. Especially on hard floor, and keep away from any kinda liquids, I'm talking like condensation from a cold water bottle
2. Register the product. Razer warranty experience has been pretty pleasant, my controller came out the box with a bad mode button and they were happy to replace. Had to send everything back including dongle, usb cable and all the thumbsticks
3. Once you get used it it, it makes the Xbox one controller seem clunky and kinda compressed together. It's not for everyone but man does it feel great in my hands. However, you need to get grips, can get sore palms after a long gaming session
4. It's super slept on but this controller not only let's you adjust deadzone but also set a button to slow your aim. It works absolute wonders in D2 for running faster sensitivity for mobility and quick aiming, fine tuning when AdS'd while holding down the assigned switch
5. Mechanical switches are great and battery life is good
6. The app sucks and often does not save your profile switches. After you set. A profile once, unless you reset the controller you can't adjust deadzone or aim sensitivity with the aim button pressed, it just reverts back. Very annoying.
7. Even though they aren't hall effect sticks this things analog sticks kick ass - not compatible with a lot of Xbox thumb grips but some ps5 ones work with a good press. You'll Def indent the thumbstick tho.
8. Bottom mode "paddles" are too far inward

Great controller, but to spicy price, a 300€ is way too much. to pay more then 50% of PS 5 to a controler, no way.

Who the hell thought the paddle placement was a good idea. The other wolverine placement was better. Or hell juat copy the ps5 edge placement/design.
If only the directional and analog buttons were the same as PS intead of Xbox, man, i fucking hate the layout of xbox controller..., what a greta miss (for me) regardless of how good it is.

That's why these price so high. You're only options to play PS5 games without a controller that Sony thought looked cool will run you at least $200. Xbox controllers are designed out of consequence, PS is designed for a look. Xbox controllers have objectively better ergonomics.

remember folks an entire console is $400... No hall effects, pretty terrible app design. You can buy three DualSense 5's for the same price.

This things a pos for ps5. You can't power your ps5 on with it. So you'll have to get up and manually turn it on. The super fast wireless crap they advertise. I've never had a controller with the input delay that this has. Seriously bad, you will have to plug this conreoller in directly. Also it will take up one of your USB slots wired or wirelessly. For the price totally not worth it. Returned mine after about a week.
Not really use your tv earc hdmi and just select the input of your ps5 on tv and ps5 automatically turns on without any controller needed. I have reg ps5 controller and never turn it on by the controller i use my tv remote (no my tv is not a sony)

This controller is £258 ($324) currently in the uk. To even spend that on a controller is absolutely mental but from past experience with the razer wolverine ultimate and tournament controllers I wouldn’t even touch that with a 10 foot stick.
I absolutely hate that the damn dpad is in the wrong place for a ps5 controller
