In the Netherlands texting/sms has sort of disappeared with whatsapp taking its place. I'm always a little surprised people still text in other places.
Yeah, I think it's the same most places outside of the USA. It's certainly nice to be outside of the green bubble/blue bubble whatever nonsense that seems to preoccupy them, but on the other hand I do think there's something to be said for communicating over an open standard rather than having all your channels of communication owned by private companies.
It's the same in India of course but I have switched from WhatsApp to messages because it's basically the same in every way but it's preincluded, I never have to update it and I can send an old timey plain text message with the worst signal I don't even have to be online.
android does not care about privacy, for them to intercept the message that means they have to read and understand your messages in the first place. just sickening. never would buy an android.

Imessage is through internet or data, the green texts are regular text messages, you can hold down on the blue bubbles and click “send as text” and it will then become green, its never had anything to do with android.

I fixed this issue by just not having people text me Edit: I didn't even pay attention to this comment until I swiped to this video again, 5 months later. That'd probably be the timeline I text back too. I don't even pay attention to notifications, let alone texts.

This is an issue between iPhones in non-iMessage group chats too. When someone else likes a message, all iPhones receive the reaction line of text instead.

Just so you know, when in a group chat, they get all those messages too. So it’s more likely that people are reacting more than normal to create intentional spam. Usually it’s only a matter of time before people start reacting to the reaction messages.

The difference between Google and iMessage is that on iMessage all the photos and videos you sent to other people appear exactly the way they do from the phone gallery. They are not compressed or reduced in any way, shape or form there is no other app third-party are native that can do that and that is the beauty of iMessage.
For those who aren’t caught up: basically, google, found a way where you could send reactions between phones that are iPhones and androids, but Apple decided against it. Basically, Apple wants to make it inconvenient for any kind of cross-use between Apple products and other products, but Google said “bet” and uno-reversed on them
When did Apple decide against it? Google just translates SMS text to reactions automatically. Apple never said anything about it. Because SMS doesn't support iMessage Reactions, Apple will convert it to SMS text.

So other countries citizens adopted messaging apps in mass because Apple had sms caked in. In the US this never became a thing - because it didn't cost extra for sms.

The difference between Google and iMessage is that on iMessage all the photos and videos you sent to other people appear exactly the way they do from the phone gallery. They are not compressed or reduced in any way, shape or form there is no other app third-party are native that can do that and that is the beauty of iMessage.

For those who aren’t caught up: basically, google, found a way where you could send reactions between phones that are iPhones and androids, but Apple decided against it. Basically, Apple wants to make it inconvenient for any kind of cross-use between Apple products and other products, but Google said “bet” and uno-reversed on them
When did Apple decide against it? Google just translates SMS text to reactions automatically. Apple never said anything about it. Because SMS doesn't support iMessage Reactions, Apple will convert it to SMS text.

Basically google got jealous that their users (Android users) were not being invited to group chats because they got a phone with a inferior operating system.
