great movie, great shots, especially from drone. That feeling to ski on the virgin snow... must be breathtaking. Congrats for the adventure. Congrats PhD, doctor Sohvi .
When I was 18, in early July, 1963, I and my much older brother, the "Skipper", traveled from Prince William Sound, in a 44-foot wooden boat, to Elfin Cove, through Icy Strait, past Hoonah, past Ketchikan through the Canadian Inside Passage, through Seymour Narrows without radar, at night, in the fog, looking out for freighters around us, on to very rough water with high winds against currents, near Nanaimo, B.C., finally ending up at our home port of Friday Harbor, in the San Juan Islands of Puget Sound, Washington. It was one of several similar adventures I would take over the next five years as a deckhand on a salmon fishing boat. I once volunteered to be a deckhand on the same boat trolling for 2 weeks, 50 miles off the coast of Alaska when we were suddenly in a 70 knot wind heading for protection in Lituya Bay. I had been sea sick every day previous to that time but with waves going from the bow over the top of the cabin to the stern, I lost that sea sickness and was scared, though the Skipper was not concerned. And I heard all the stories of boats who had their windows blown out with the waves. We had trolling poles with stabilizer weights on them and lots of heavy ice in the hold, but for me it was an adventure I have never forgotten. Anyone crossing the Gulf or just being out far enough that you can see Mt. Logan in Canada and Mt. St. Elias in Alaska, will have that trip etched in their mind until they die.
Wow! What an unreal video friend, this is the dream!!! Epic sailing & skiing and awesome videography/editing. Congrats on making it across the Gulf you guys (and congrats Dr. Sohvi). Cheers!

I've heard that the beer and banana combo will get you every time! Kudos on that massive climb before ski.
The path less traveled. Thanks for providing us with such beautiful content and reminding us all to get out there and enjoy it.
Congratulation to the Dr, she deserves more that a shot of Vodka! Best video this year on YT with outstanding content and subliminal photography. Coke should support you too! Your both very fortunate and it's of your own doing. Love what you do. xx
Just a brilliant episode, breathtaking. You must be really pleased with your endeavours indeed. Your are in your dreams. There is another couple out on their first boat on You tube I watch called Tula Tribe, their phrase to describe their journey
‘We’re bloody doing it!’
You are too.
Congratulations on the first mate getting her Ph.D
Watch out for bears.

Awe inspiring! Great skills. It is a privilege to be able to share in the amazing adventures that you are having.
i wish I could support you guys but as an old age pensioner and arm chair sailor living on my own boat I must also watch my pennies. Enjoy your journeying very much.
Outstanding film making, not only sailing. You are the best!
Thank you for these videos.
This is an amazing episode guys. I am so happy you finally got top ski directly from your S/V. Thanks so much.
Wow,
I’ve made that Gulf of Alaska many times, and I’ve never seen it as calm as the trip that you guys have made.
Thanks for sharing your trip. Take care, all the best, and God bless.

Wonderful photography. I am happy to see your friend seems to be having an enjoyable experience. You mentioned avalanche. Hopefully you never run into that situation. Where you go help is nowhere around. All right, Stay safe. 😊

Don't worry Sovhi is a doctor now, she could take good care of him. ; )
@@prof.heinous191 PHD ? MD ? I believe PHD . Congratulations Sovhi ! When the sailing is finished she will be well equipped to move on . From following both of them from basically the start I wish them all the joy and happiness this life has to offer.

Cinematic Magic! Some of the best video footage on UA-cam. Congrats to Dr. Sohvi. She now is the top rank person on the boat - hence the new captain.
We stayed at Yakutat as we travelled down the Inside Passage on the MHS (Marine Highway System) Ferries. Loved the area. I have been hanging out for your next video and this video was fantastic great yacht, good sailing and superb skiing. Truly exceptional.
Tak!
thanks! :)
Thanks for the passage and the northern lights. So beautiful Alaska.
Thank You for letting me ski on top of your helmut! Great video! Congratulations Dr. Sovhi!
Wonderful scenery. Thank you
Wow, this was my favourite video of yours! Skiing, sailing, landscapes, cooking, & partying. It had everything. Great work.
Ok dude, I finally joined as a patron. Because of your well made videos, they take me to a place where I will never sail, because of the skiing and because of Dr. Sohvi. Keep having fun.
Cooking Tip: If the batter is too thin, or you have used insufficient eggs then you may find that your pancakes break up easily and fall apart.

"maybe we should prioritize keeping a lookout instead of filming"
Listen to her mate, she speaks sense.
Woohoo! One of your best. episodes. ever! We worked in the ski industry for 17 years before moving aboard our sailboat 7 years ago, so this episode was a joy to watch, as all are your episodes, really. It was so good to see you back at the top of a mountain. You are reaching your goals and taking all of us along with you, thank you. Cheers and congratulations to Sohvi, well done!
Congratulations Dr. Ms. Suhlvi. Wonderful videography. Really, really enjoying this trip with you. Thank you for taking us along.

Congrats for the adventure. Congrats PhD, doctor Sohvi .
Your videos are very addictive and enjoyable. . keep um coming
This was one of my favourite videos that you have done. Amazing scenery and looks like the skiing was incredible.
Easy pancakes: 2 cups flour, 2cups milk, 2 eggs,1-2teaspoons baking soda, bit of salt.
Thanks!
Wow! What an unreal video friend, this is the dream!!! Epic sailing & skiing and awesome videography/editing. Congrats on making it across the Gulf you guys (and congrats Dr. Sohvi). Cheers!
Juho, you've done some amazing things in your previous videos, but this was a but special! If this is the future of Alluring Arctic in terms of film making and content you're gonna smash it big time!! Im blown away right now 👏
The banana caused the sea sickness, beer doesn’t.😂
