I don't know how many times I've seen this and I cry, every single time! It is just such a beautiful, stunning performance and demonstration of a partnership!
My parents died last year within four months of each other, and I cannot get enough of this video. I have a beautiful QH mare who eases my heart every time I ride her. Thank you letting me cry, Stacy, and still remember that we all need to live before we die. With love, Sharon and Pebbles (aka Suddenly Available).
I cried through this whole clip, what an honorable way to cherish the memory of her dad. How amazing of a connection between her and this horse. Thanks for doing it!!
Amazing thank you so much for sharing these clips with me I have never seen such horsmanship and it is plain to see how much your daughter and her horse trust each other .
This is so extraordinary and enthralling plus one of the best rides that's ever been. Anyone who's involved with horseback riding knows what a tremendous amount of work and trust alike sis necessary to achieve such a high level. This can be nothing but admired and adored!
Gobsmacking/tearjurkingly awasome. I have NEVER seen such an intense, mutual understanding and true love between a human and an animal. I've watched it 13 times over the last two days and I CRIED each time. Thanks Stacy for REminding us all to always keep trying new things. The lyrics of the song though are just as important! Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici. Peter13
This is truly amazing...I would love to do this with my horse :) Stacy, you are an inspiration to me, and probably a lot of other people! Thank you for that amazing ride :)
wow this moved me to tears . THE SONG WAS MY SONG when I come down with breast cancer . you and your horse or should i say your friend are great. thank you for the love, your dad is looking down and he is pround of his little woman . sorry for your loss . KAT =^..^=

soooo beautiful and sorry to hear the loss about your dad.....now he will be in heaven looking down on you and being happy for everything that you have done to make him proud. I just wanted to say that horses are my favorite animals of all. Keep up the good work.
This was always my FAV video. It always made me cry because Stacy was so brave and was able to still do this show and dedicate this ride to her dad. Now that I've lost my dad also, I have a whole new respect for what it really took for her to perform after just loosing her dad. What a strong lady... I guess both of our dads are up there in Heaven now looking down on us.....VV
Stacy, I was so sorry to hear that Roxy has gone to horse heaven. This is the most inspiration video I have every seen. I tell all my horse friends about it. YOU are a treasure, what an amazing ride! God Bless Roxy in heaven and God Bless you for being an awesome role model!
You truly have it..Love, heart and sole, that any horse is looking for and that is in you. Con-Grads That's the closeness to God as your going to get. Bless your heart...keep it up
I am 12 years old and I have just started reining and stacy westfall is my roll model. She has made a place in my heart along with her dad and roxy. R.I.P ROXY.
This honestly makes me cry everytime I watch it. The bond between her and her horse and the fact that she can do this completely tackless just blows my mind. The fact that they trust eachother enough to do this just brings me to tears. I love this.
even after seeing this so many times, it still brings tears to my eyes. This is an absolutely amazing display of horsemanship, and so soon after her father's death.
She inspires me so much ! I hope one day my horse and I have that great of a bond !! I also agree with most people here, her dad would have been so proud (L) My neighbor was so lucky to actually meet her at one of the horse shows she was at :)

You and Stacey where the best par of horse and rider in the world at times it seem'd like you and Stacey where one! I haven't seen very many people ride this well in full tack, let alone bareback and bridleless. Stacy is simply an amazing rider and trainer. Beyond amazing.
Stacy is truly amazing. She shows that you don't need a bit, spurs or other training devices to bring out the best in a horse. Of course you have to be an excellent rider. She is appearing at the Nebraska Horse Expo in March '08.
this makes me cry everytime i watch this i watch it evryday i cry because of this song and stacey your amazing like you say 'dont cry because its over smile becuase it happend' :)
This is a sure four tissue minimum. What a talent she is, what courage she displayed. I cried every time I watched. What a tribute to your father who I am sure is watching over you with pride & admiration. I am positive Tim McGraw would be quite touched as well. Hope he has or will see this some day!
I cry everytime I see this. Not only do you have to be a talented horseman.. you have to have trust, you trust the horse and the horse trusts you and thats a lot easier said than done.
This is great and the horse is showing how much she enjoys and gets it by her licking and chewing! Sorry about the loss of Stacy's Dad and the sweet horse.
As a big advocate of Monty Roberts and someone who's experienced the emotional and beautiful experience of "join-up" well over 100 times now, I can tell this horse and rider are bonded completely by trust and a partnership that cannot be explained in mere words....(notice the licking and chewing the horse displays often throughout the video, which is a sign of complete submission BY CHOICE NOT FORCE...this is significant when you ask the horse to accept you. Great testimony to the power of love
I often drop my reins after a lesson or on a fun day, and trot and canter but nothing compared to this...I am floored by her ability. Her horses are always happy and calm and willing. Every aspiring rider has to have someone to look up to and Ms. Westfall is mine
Stacey, you are my inspiration, my mum said i ride like you on the horses i ride i break them in im only 12yo and i love your riding. everyone thinks i would be like you but jumping i jump bareback not broken horse with a halter, and i stay on. R.I.P Roxys :'( P.S your amazing
Roxy, Each time I get spooked by a fall or an accident, I remember to lift my head and try and to trust. Like you trusted Stacy, like Stacy trusted you. I don't think a bond like the bond between you and Stacy can be torn apart even though you are gone. When I got my reiner, she made me cry, but she now is one of my best friends. Last year she proved she was willing to die to keep me safe and I for her. We are learning to trust. Thank you for sparking a dream, C and Hollywood Smarty Cat
I NEVER tire of watching this AND I am ALYWAYS reduced to tears!!!!!!! What communication...what a relationship....what equestrian(ne) perfection!
Grown man and Marine. I have watched this 10 times. Never a dry eye. Lessons to learn. One day it's true.

Roxy,
Each time I get spooked by a fall or an accident, I remember to lift my head and try and to trust.
Thank you for sparking a dream,
C and Hollywood Smarty Cat
this is incredibly incredible! True bond! Roxy and Stacy belong together.
Plus, I mentioned her father was passed. Quote: "Give Stacy's father a good ride up in Heaven!!!!"
