Worst thing about Zacian, is this isn't new at all. Zacian in almost *all* competitive pokemon games (main line and card games) is just ridiculous. So many people, including some unite UA-camrs, have just gone on a hiatus just bc of this mon and the Pokemon unite company themselves.

I quit because of how oppressive Zacian is and how often top tiers are allowed to just beat the hell out of everything else for months on end. It's great that everything is viable but the top cut are just annoying to play against. ... that and them buffing the Rayquaza buff. Why the hell would they basically reintroduce Zapdos..?
Yeah it’s pretty weird for an ultimate like this to be game’s stability whenever a character is OP. In league, it’s pretty volatile move that no one likes at all and doesn’t really benefit the character, Malazhar, in any shape or form since he’s an immobile, squishy damage dealer where standing for him is death. But it works surprisingly well for Slowbro who utilizes powerful crowd control like that to its maximum potential while being balanced in a way because it’s on him. He has the durability to use it’s full activation while fulfilling his purpose as Defender. The move is balanced out because Slowbro is, well, slow and doesn’t hit that hard, making him strong yet counterable, aka balanced even with the strong ultimate he has. He’s such an enigma when you consider his move set yet because he has the defenders pros and cons, he’s Pokémon Unite’s most balanced character and the character to balance out the OP characters in the game as well.
I lost 5 games in a row today 1) A zeraora who never came out of jungle and afk'd when Ray spawned. 2) An absol who was just scoring goals and died while scoring an 100 when Ray spawned. 3) An Absol who afk'd after scoring and as a result a Gengar walks into our centre and scores 100, and we lose by 70 points. 4) An eldegoss who just afk'd when Ray spawned cuz the team didn't surrender. 5) A Greninja who was a camper and failed to secure Ray. The most annoying thing is people can just afk for 2 mins straight, after Ray spawns and it doesn't recognize them as afk.
I'll admit I have done what that Eldegoss did but the situation matters. The enemy team basically took all of our bases or most of them, they are 3 levels above the whole team, I just want to move to the next game but people outright refuse to give up even when we already lost? Nah, fuck that
I've also kind of experienced the same thing with a talonflame afk'ing right after ray spawed and we didint surrender, funnily enough we still won since not only most of the game is a close match but also since I stole ray from the entire enemy team as a trevenant

Slowbro has been my go to since release day for this game and I still love playing him. I've drifted more towards Decidueye cause you know, you have to carry to win most games these days, but if my team needs a defender Slowbro is so good and also extremely rewarding to play. Feels amazing to grab that zacian see him deleted because I was aware enough to seek him out and take him out of the game. Truly is holding the game together

I picked Unite back up again a couple months ago after playing it off and one for about a year. I made a new account and played some pokemon that I really liked from outside of Unite. Talonflame, Greninja, and Aegislash were all consistent picks, because I am a bit of a gen 6 fan. However, none of them feel as satisfying to me as Slowbro does. I feel safe with Slowbro, like nothing could ever hurt me. This has affected me after I've kinda fallen off with Unite again. Everytime I see this guy, my brain just receives instant seratonin. I love him so much, and it's a shame that I don't use him more in other Pokemon games.
When i lose my every game with other attackers i pick slowbro and win everyfrikinn time slowbro is like an evening cup of coffee for me that you consume after a heavy work load
You can't forget about the Cramorant invincibility bug. As long as you didn't score, Cram was literally immortal and could chase enemies with dive air slash. There was no escape.
I totally agree with this. Slowbro was a literal god send when Zacian or any of these insanely overpowered mons where in play. It's Unite move usually would be a sign to the team to target one specific mon and take it out of the battle. Sometimes your team isn't as responsive but they usually are to Slowbro Unite. If they aren't that responsive give them a bit of encouragement with the voice chat...and hope they come to your aid.

As a Main defender supporter user I really liked this vídeo. Everytime my team pick a lot of squishy Attackers or Speedsters I always go for Trev or Slowbro. Because I know I will need to clutch the whole game by myself. As usual.
That explains how I try to play with another Pokémon it may be good and I have victories with it but whenever I come back to slowbro it feels just easier to win, it feels like the best pk I have no matter what 🤔 The best thing about slowbro, just as if it was a life lessob, is that is free. I chosed snorlax as my first pk in the game, but my real first pk was slowbro. Seriously, I'd like to give it a hug because of what has helped me to achieve in ranked and all the victories and good times alone or with my friends we have had.

Every time something was running rampant, I would pull out Slowbro and try to solo carry. I know I can't rely on my team to either push or defend, but if I can set up a scenario where I've absorbed most damage and they have the problem immobilized on a silver platter usually even a monkey with a typewriter could figure it out lol. The game is a ton of fun, but dear goodness is it broken.

hello, Slowbro (well defenders in general) main here, and I completely agree. When I first started playing Unite (first week) back when Cinderace was a menace to society, I always tried playing some carry to counteract that, but I picked up Slowbro on a random game where we had to fill a defender and I just fell in love. The sheer dopamine rush I get when I help someone get a kill, or lock down the godforsaken enemy carry that's destroying my team never fails to stop me from playing him. While I did branch out to Trevenant when he came out, Slowbro will always be my favorite pokemon to play, and to date my favorite pokemon in general. Thanks for this video, I feel very seen! Having ur main being the subject of the video is sick especially when it really shows how much slowbro is needed in the game. When played probably He can single handedly defend a lane tbw whole game ( I like top) and always keep the enemies hard carry in check
Slowbro's Unite move is actually a copy from a game called Arena of Valor (as a lot of mechanic and skills in general), specifically Arum's ultimate. Except Arum is actually pretty bad there bc there isn't any true op hero that needed to be counter so her only strength is hindered and thus her weakness is revealed. This also means Timi (the dev behind both Arena of Valor and Pokemon Unite) is more than capable of making balanced and fair moba games, but they just refuse to do so for Unite for obvious reason (hint: 💰)
Also, a mechanic that would be very helpful is that one from wild rift, where you drag your basic attack button to target anything, it is 100% better than that wild pkm button and the icons.
I've been obsessed with this game since it's mobile release. And I can attest that Slowbro has been the best Mon for some time now. This video captures a lot of the feelings players might be feeling towards the game at the moment. So well done 🔥 and keep it up

I tend to.dp that too actually but i then spend the entire match yelling at ly teamated to get of thier ass stop afk-ing and actually work together as a team while my snorlax gets turned into swiss cheese while going full bulk

It's actually kinda ironic seeing this video, as I've just recently gotten back into Pokemon Unite within the past week or so. I haven't played for over a year, so it was really interesting to look at all of the new pokemon that were added. I've had a lot of fun trying out all the new pokemon, but even before I dropped the game, Slowbro has always been my favorite. It's always just so consistently good; it tanks a huge amount of damage, it can fire back really hard with Scald, and it evolves really early, which creates potential for it to quickly snowball in levels. Man, Slowbro is so awesome.
True. Slowbro is what made me keep playing this game when broken Pokémon comes out. Slowbro has been my favorite so far for the past 3 seasons helping teammfights secure/steals objectives and takes me to Master 3 times in row for each of my three accounts. It became my favorite main the first time it carried me to master on all 3 of my accounts.
I feel like trevenant deserve a shout out as it recieved the wood hammer buff around the same time zacian came which was great to consistently stun zacian, even after it lost the cool down buff, it still does wonder thanks to horn leech keeping it alive for quite long as well as curse recharges horn leech cool down after shut off too to double push it's enemy

I really hope they give us a Slowking with the option to pick between regular and Galarian Slowking. Since G. Slowpoke lore says it got that way from eating a berry maybe if you eat a berry before level 4 you go into G. Slowpoke then G. Slowking. If you don't eat the berry before level 4 you turn into regular Slowking. Then have give the choice of moves, but be different depending if you picked Slowking or G. Slowking. That wouldn't be too difficult to understand and would be a nice way to give us the whole Slowpoke family
Slowbro is honestly one of my all time fave Defenders, mainly bc he's a powerful sponge that can tank a lot and is just a really fun character to play, especially if ur soloing and playing co-op
You forgot to mention that slowbro’s scald lowers the oponent’s phisycal atack with the burn making him the best pokemon against phisycal atackers and broken pokemons

Hi! Im a competitive player for the team known as Griefers United. We have entered some of the biggest tournaments (mostly UCS) and placed pretty decently (25th) so I wanna say some things first. Personally, and something that is shared by a lot of higher tiered players is that Slowbro is actually, the best defender and arguably even a broken defender. See, Slowbro has one of the best, arguably the best peel move in surf+ that makes diving as most Pokémon incredibly hard and in draft especially, trying to play around bro is a incredibly difficult task. Especially how many slowbros will run the eject button item and be able to do a lot off of this such as eject surf or eject slowbeam. Speaking of slowbeam, this move is kinda fucked up. Slowbro gaining a massive shield and being able to shutdown any carry in the game has been a constant issue for a while in competitive, while its nice for ranked as Zacian and other banned (mostly bugged) characters are allowed, in draft it becomes more unfair for just normal high tiers such as Garchomp or especially lower tiers like Tsareena and Aegislash. This is why, at the time of writing this comment that is, Slowbro is the most banned Pokémon due to just being a very messy mon to play against. I loved the video though and found it incredibly funny! Keep it up and keep the pressure on ;)
Believe me when I say that Zacian shouldn't only be nerfed in Unite, in normal Pokemon PVP it was unreasonably op too before it was banned. Zacian is the worst addition to Pokemon ever period.

I can't help but chuckle a bit, when the game launched, I decided to main Slowbro pretty much just because I like playing defensive characters in multiplayer games, but all the defender Pokémon didn't appeal to me all too much. Now he's basically the only guy I enjoy using (aside from occasionally dabbling in Azumaril because they're one of my favorite Pokémon in general) and this entire time I had no idea he was such a pillar in the community because I don't really talk to anyone who plays this game.

hello, Slowbro (well defenders in general) main here, and I completely agree. When I first started playing Unite (first week) back when Cinderace was a menace to society, I always tried playing some carry to counteract that, but I picked up Slowbro on a random game where we had to fill a defender and I just fell in love. The sheer dopamine rush I get when I help someone get a kill, or lock down the godforsaken enemy carry that's destroying my team never fails to stop me from playing him. While I did branch out to Trevenant when he came out, Slowbro will always be my favorite pokemon to play, and to date my favorite pokemon in general. Thanks for this video, I feel very seen!

Having ur main being the subject of the video is sick especially when it really shows how much slowbro is needed in the game. When played probably He can single handedly defend a lane tbw whole game ( I like top) and always keep the enemies hard carry in check
Slowbro's Unite move is actually a copy from a game called Arena of Valor (as a lot of mechanic and skills in general), specifically Arum's ultimate. Except Arum is actually pretty bad there bc there isn't any true op hero that needed to be counter so her only strength is hindered and thus her weakness is revealed. This also means Timi (the dev behind both Arena of Valor and Pokemon Unite) is more than capable of making balanced and fair moba games, but they just refuse to do so for Unite for obvious reason (hint: 💰)
Also, a mechanic that would be very helpful is that one from wild rift, where you drag your basic attack button to target anything, it is 100% better than that wild pkm button and the icons.

I tend to.dp that too actually but i then spend the entire match yelling at ly teamated to get of thier ass stop afk-ing and actually work together as a team while my snorlax gets turned into swiss cheese while going full bulk

Zacian being checked by a dopey looking water type in both Sword and Shield, and this game is the most funny coincidence I've seen in a while.
It's actually kinda ironic seeing this video, as I've just recently gotten back into Pokemon Unite within the past week or so. I haven't played for over a year, so it was really interesting to look at all of the new pokemon that were added. I've had a lot of fun trying out all the new pokemon, but even before I dropped the game, Slowbro has always been my favorite. It's always just so consistently good; it tanks a huge amount of damage, it can fire back really hard with Scald, and it evolves really early, which creates potential for it to quickly snowball in levels.

True. Slowbro is what made me keep playing this game when broken Pokémon comes out. Slowbro has been my favorite so far for the past 3 seasons helping teammfights secure/steals objectives and takes me to Master 3 times in row for each of my three accounts. It became my favorite main the first time it carried me to master on all 3 of my accounts.
I feel like trevenant deserve a shout out as it recieved the wood hammer buff around the same time zacian came which was great to consistently stun zacian, even after it lost the cool down buff, it still does wonder thanks to horn leech keeping it alive for quite long as well as curse recharges horn leech cool down after shut off too to double push it's enemy

I really hope they give us a Slowking with the option to pick between regular and Galarian Slowking. Since G. Slowpoke lore says it got that way from eating a berry maybe if you eat a berry before level 4 you go into G. Slowpoke then G. Slowking. If you don't eat the berry before level 4 you turn into regular Slowking. Then have give the choice of moves, but be different depending if you picked Slowking or G. Slowking.
That wouldn't be too difficult to understand and would be a nice way to give us the whole Slowpoke family
Slowbro is honestly one of my all time fave Defenders, mainly bc he's a powerful sponge that can tank a lot and is just a really fun character to play, especially if ur soloing and playing co-op
You forgot to mention that slowbro’s scald lowers the oponent’s phisycal atack with the burn making him the best pokemon against phisycal atackers and broken pokemons

I started using Slowbro cus almost every single time my team would be like three attackers and a all-rounder, so it was a necessity but boy do I love playing the pink goofy dude and being the MVP in almost every match I win, Slowbro really is a Bro with capital B
Hi! Im a competitive player for the team known as Griefers United. We have entered some of the biggest tournaments (mostly UCS) and placed pretty decently (25th) so I wanna say some things first.
Personally, and something that is shared by a lot of higher tiered players is that Slowbro is actually, the best defender and arguably even a broken defender. See, Slowbro has one of the best, arguably the best peel move in surf+ that makes diving as most Pokémon incredibly hard and in draft especially, trying to play around bro is a incredibly difficult task. Especially how many slowbros will run the eject button item and be able to do a lot off of this such as eject surf or eject slowbeam. Speaking of slowbeam, this move is kinda fucked up. Slowbro gaining a massive shield and being able to shutdown any carry in the game has been a constant issue for a while in competitive, while its nice for ranked as Zacian and other banned (mostly bugged) characters are allowed, in draft it becomes more unfair for just normal high tiers such as Garchomp or especially lower tiers like Tsareena and Aegislash. This is why, at the time of writing this comment that is, Slowbro is the most banned Pokémon due to just being a very messy mon to play against. I loved the video though and found it incredibly funny! Keep it up and keep the pressure on ;)
As someone that doesn’t play slowbro and always seems to be the one he snatches in his unite move: pain.
Believe me when I say that Zacian shouldn't only be nerfed in Unite, in normal Pokemon PVP it was unreasonably op too before it was banned. Zacian is the worst addition to Pokemon ever period.
Honestly in other games a 3 second stun plus a knock up would be ridiculous but in unite it's right at home

I can't help but chuckle a bit, when the game launched, I decided to main Slowbro pretty much just because I like playing defensive characters in multiplayer games, but all the defender Pokémon didn't appeal to me all too much. Now he's basically the only guy I enjoy using (aside from occasionally dabbling in Azumaril because they're one of my favorite Pokémon in general) and this entire time I had no idea he was such a pillar in the community because I don't really talk to anyone who plays this game.
