@@daverhoden445 In the first Superman/Spider-Man book, there's a scene in a bar where Morgan Edge and J. Jonah Jameson meet coincidentally. They both seem to be familiar with each other and Edge is aware of Peter Parker and JJJ is aware of Clark Kent.

I know you were joking about doing a dramatic reading on the comics code, at least I think possibly you were joking, but I would be very interested in a segment about it. I’ve read comics for several decades during that stretch, and I don’t even know what that code really means. I’d love to see a n explanation of it.

ok my new head-cannon is that Lois Lane is the DC universe's Vincenzo Peruggia (the guy that stole the Mona Lisa and in doing so made the painting famous.) which is absolutely hilarious because that means most people in the DC universe won't know what the painting looked like before Lois put her face on it.

The writer Jerry Siegel penned this story nearly 30 years after creating the characters. Siegel, known to have had one or two Loises in his personal life, was considered by editor Mort Weisinger to be especially good at the emotional content of his stories. This is some very good art by Kurt S., not one of my faves but he outdoes himself here. Thanks for this great Silver Age treatment, S., they keep getting better and better.

I actually purchased part two of this story at a comic shop when I was a kid. Up until I saw this video, I didn't realize it was the second of a two part story. I guess they did a really good job on the recap.
There is a "real world" story from an early issue of Superman Family, where Lois marries Lex, or almost marries Lex ( I honestly don't remember). I believe it was called " The Cheat the whole world cheered". To the best of my (limited) knowledge, it is the only time they had an in continuity romance.
