Ships performed at the Glasgow Barrowlands ( 1993). For all my BC friends and a special mention for Patricia , Becky , skapaul, amanda, and JL( pascalobistro)....
Check this out, I’m a hard rock guy and my friend is a heavy metal guy and he comes up to me at work and hands me a cassette with 5 Big Country songs on it and it freaked me out. I had only heard In a Big Country on MTV and I didn’t like it. So that night I put the cassette in and the 5 songs were King of Emotion, You Dreamer, 13 Valley’s, Peace In Our Time, and Alone. The guitar work blew my head off. I just kept playing that cassette over and over and turning it up louder each time. I’m 63 years old now and a lifelong music collector. Stuart Adamsson is in my top 10 of guitar players I’ve ever heard and I have heard over 100,000 guitar players. My friend who gave me that cassette, he is in the top 10 best guitarist I’ve ever heard as well, I should have known Big Country would kick my ass. What a special band. I live in Kentucky and I know there’s at least two people in Kentucky that are ape poop crazy about Big Country. They are always in my regular rotation and I still cry sometimes when I listen to Stuart play his guitar. Thank you for blessing me so much Stuart, I love you.
I still cry for our Stu .. I'm a 55 year old man and I can't believe you are gone .. I was privileged to see you live in Belfast twice .. Thank you for coming when many shunned us because of the troubles .. Best Scottish band ever xxx rest easy big fella X
Best Band EVER! I was a DJ in The 1980"s ..Listened to tons of Music... But nothing rips my Heart Out like Stu & Company. The lyrics alone can make me cry even now.
this band are truely unbeliveable never had the joy of seeing them live, judging by this video they are second to none ive seen some big band but none capture a crowd like this, thank you dad for bringing big country into my life r.i.p dad maybe youve shared a beer with big stu
i am really grateful for this great footage of a lot of big country that never made it across the sea to the us...they really stuck to their guns and their sound...a brilliant band of musicians, a great poet, writer and singer in stuart ( not to mention their incredible and ego-free guitar sound)
the big man and the boys on top form as always at the barrowlands the best live band by a mile sheer joy to be in that crowd watching the genius giving us a ball
Thank you and still thank you for the dedication. Soon I shall be able to make you the same on the same title (superb song which is well worth being listened ' under all angles ' still and still).
The best live band I ever saw. Wonderful. This performance has me in tears every time. Saw Bruce, his talented son, and Mark last year at Minehead Giants of Rock. Loved the way they still set up Stuart's mic and stand, as though he is still with us. Or will suddenly turn up and play. The lad obviously had problems, but thank you Stuart Adamson for touching my life, and bringing joy to it.
Great voice great sound, but it makes me sad to see BC playing on a small stage for a small audience. It's a pity they almost immediately lose the Big Wheel spins. They deserved it.
Sadowsky1965 no, you see this is the barrowlands Glasgow. small venue but the biggest of atmospheres. unbelievable place, we just don't have bands like this anymore to make it tick.
I'm now 62 and I will die a happy man as I was lucky enough to see the best live band ever 11 times . Stuart Adamson was in a class of his own 🎸
Your a lucky man .. we don't have exceptional stage people like this anymore..
If Springsteen had written and recorded this it would have won a Grammy!

Typical musical perfection from Stu and the boys . Stay Alive!
Must be french, “confound them” or maybe just the “gas man”.
