tania rachelle definitely not what I meant..I love Crash Course, I just prefer this when it comes to biology because it's easier to understand. I think Crash Course biology is a little bit hard to get if you don't know the material..haven't tried any other sciences though
+Lf I actually don't agree with you. Crash course is sometimes less informative and more general in the information that they give, but it's still a fun and pretty short way of enriching your knowledge about many interesting stuff... so I like it too. Anyway, Bozman's videos are very very helpful, there's no argument about that.
You explain everything on your videos absolutely perfectly!! Doing a fantastic job helping us all out, and your work is VERY appreciated! Thank you Mr. Anderson!
No words could ever describe how grateful I am for your videos Mr. Andersen! You're a genius and you transform chemistry into not only a manageable subject, but even a fun one. Thank you.
This is a great video and series. The formula for a disaccharide is C12H22O11, and the ratio of hydrogen to carbon is not always 2:1, as it is for a monosaccharide. When two monosaccharides are combined, a water molecule is lost, reducing the H by two and the O by 1.
I'd like to report an error in your video: Sucrose has the molecular formula: C12H22O11. It slightly differs from the general formula of monosaccharides - (CH2O)n - because of the dehydration reaction that two monosaccharides have undergone to form a disaccharide. Anyway, kudos on your videos; they're very helpful. :)
Your videos are so helpful! My high school teacher made us watch them and now that I'm in college I find them useful. Not only do they help me study but they also get me excited about biology.
Thank you soo much for these videos. I just started college but I graduated from an awful alternative school and they didn't care enough about us to actually teach us. My science classes consisted of drawings and definitions. Now I'm trying to get on my feet and enter the medical field but Biology is kicking my butt. You explain things so much easier than my professor does.
sir the way you helped me in my first year, helped me get all As, and then thanks to you i got accepted to nursing school. And now you're helping me here as well. You're an amazing teacher
THIS IS SO HELPFUL we love you (from people who actually don't stare at their phone all day and are somewhat interested in this stuff, or are doing extra credit for school)
sometimes I feel depressed when I think of that difficult times that we were unsuccessfully trying and trying to learn nothing. having a teacher like can change the student's destiny. thank you so very much.
I wish I can have you as my bio professor at Valencia College. I love your videos! I definitely will need as much of your help as possible to survive this semester. Thanks!
YOU HELP ME PASS MY AP BIO TESTS! THX YOU SO MUCH, i do study my class notes but your videos are a helpful review and gives me an upper hand than the rest of my classmates
Thanks for the video your examples and teaching is very straightforward and useful. I also love your real world example and how you connect beyond the subject in order for us to have a deeper understanding. Thank you so much.
You definitely have a GIFT for teaching. Your'e explanations are a lot like how my professor tries his best to explain to us. However, you reach me. I don't think this is something that you learned in school. This was definitely what you were put on this planet to do. Thank you for helping so many! Your'e awesome.
I wish you were one of my teachers... It's like... When you talk.. Everything makes sense. But when my teachers talk.. I have no idea what they're talking about. Even if I get extra help after school. There needs to be more teachers like you.
U are an amazing teacher... Please make more and more videos on DNA, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology... Am so lucky I found your UA-cam channel. God bless you sir...
Bozeman Science, Mr. Andersen I wanted to let you know that I stumbled upon your video while doing some research for a Science paper I am needing to write for School. It was lot of fun watching your video and remembering good ole science class in KG. Thanks again for the video and inspiring me once again for a passion in science!! Darci Hanson(stewart)
The videos are really good! Keep up the great work! Just one thing - the formula for disaccharides and polysaccharides are inaccurate in this video. Ex. disaccharide would be C12H22O11 (maltose, sucrose, lactose) NOT C12H24O12, because a water molecule is removed in the dehyration rxn. :)
No way I came back to this vid 4 years later after being forced to watch it in high school to do a quick review on macromolecules in my college level course
Same I have this theory that in school we are being sort of "Forced" to learn but when we watch these videos in our free time/at out leisure at our house where we are most comfortable we tend to learn and grasp things more because we WANT to learn.
I really appreciate these videos as they really help to consolidate my learning out of school. A very quick query though; when you introduced disaccharides, surely the formula of, for example galactose is C12H22O11 as water is lost via a condesation/dehydration reaction? Keep up the good work!
Love your lectures. You explain everything very clearly. A little constructive criticism ... french language used in the captions for your words in the lecture, not so good. It makes it more difficult to take notes. Thanks so much for all your uploads. Very helpful :)
Love the video! The only complaint is that you are not changing the formula to reflect the dehydration process to pull water out of the reaction. Example: c6h12o6+c6h12o6-h2o=c12h22o11 (the formula for disaccharides)
Key take always: -Carbohydrates mostly have to do with sugar (glucose and more) - Carbs are used as energy of the body -Sugars are a good thing (only in right amounts) artificially made sugars are not good that’s what increases health risks -molecules that end in -ide are most likely forms of carbohydrates
Hello Mr. Anderson, just wanted to say that you're basically my teacher because mine uses your videos as lessons. Thank you

Seriously, these videos are P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Way better than crash course.
I don't hate it, but yes you miss the point and they do not really explain..at least in subjects like bio. I think literature is pretty helpful.
+Lf Crash course just sucks!
+tania rachelle For World History it's very helpful, they're probably better in the 'arts' categories than the sciences

I'm a Junior in College majoring in Biomedical Sciences, and I've been watching this guy's videos since 10th grade.
When ever i don't understand the lesson, i always come to your videos
Thank you its very helpful !
You're preventing me from failing my exam biology. This is way better explained, and shorter, than a lesson. Love it!

I'm so grateful for these videos. I was ready to give up my Anatomy and Physiology class until I found these. Has someone given this guy an award yet?
