My son was anemic when he was a little boy, he ate Total Cereal with iron and he drank apple juice, it took his blood count back to normal within a few weeks. Long time ago I know. I was just amazed with the results.
Hi Alex, what helped me with taking the iron during pregnancy is Calm magnesium drink, also I took mega food baby and me 2 prenatal , that has no calcium in it which blocks iron. I took garden of life raw calcium 3 pills at night away from prenatal and 1 teaspoon calm mag. , I'm a mom of 2 boys too😊 10 year old and 5 month old !! Good Luck love!!!
I love that you made it a goal to be more at peace during your second pregnancy! I also had that goal + it definitely helped my second pregnancy have less complications. Such a good thing to focus on. Also, I am so excited to still be watching your little family grow. It’s been years of me enjoying all of the content + you all have grown so beautifully!
Hey Alex I’m not pregnant but I’ve always been anemic and I do experience those symptoms sometimes- keep talking iron supplements, it takes about 3 months before you will notice a difference! Good luck with labor and delivery❤️

Omg yes! I had the same symptom of being in my house made my nausea so bad! I had to go to my moms house everyday till I was 17 weeks cause I couldn’t stand all the smells in my house lol

Have cereal, take your iron with a little bit of orange juice (makes it absorb better). Also take the stool softener everyday unless your having diarrhea.

With my first (girl) I didn’t experience any of that. It’s so crazy how each baby and pregnancy is so different!
I was also anemic when I had my son he was also big and I found out later that due to his size they were supposed to give me the option for a c section but I knew better my second time so I think it depends on the doctor my second doctor was way more informative than my first

(Currently 33 weeks and I have a c section scheduled at 39 weeks) so my OB recommendation was to do an iron infusion 😭. I need 5 treatments! Please have your OB check your levels monthly to ensure they are getting higher to avoid be in my position later on! ❤️
I also struggle with heart palpitations in the same way you explained!! So weird!!! Never had this with my 2 girls pregnancy (finally having a boy now!). I still have them specially at night or when I’m trying to rest... so weird.

I am and was anemic during pregnancy... at first I thought I was having panic attacks...randomly, but then I was told anemia. I took iron pills and what also helped me, my mother would make me about every other week or so, is liver.( in increments) I know, it’s not the greatest but that definitely contains a lot of iron n and it helped me a lot. I had it in salad or with mash, I would just try it with deferent things, but it helped.
I think it is a pregnancy symptom. I had it it with all of my three pregnancies and doctors couldn’t figure it out. It was really bad that I even started getting panic attacks because of it. I think it might be a nutrient deficiency.
I was extremely anemic after my delivery with my daughter, and I tried taking the iron supplements and I had constipation , overall my body just wasn’t tolerating the iron. I ended up getting an IV iron infusion and it was LIFE CHANGING! I 100% recommend talking to your doctor about it! It’s only 2 sessions and you feel almost instantly better. Hoping you feel better soon!
Hi! I recently had the same symptoms and am not pregnant. I had my iron levels checked and I am anemic. I have been anemic since my second pregnancy but was considered border line and never felt any symptoms. With my third pregnancy, post delivery I suffered some trauma and hemorrhaged and was told to take iron until my bottle was done. Now 2 years later, I started to feel symptoms suddenly. My symptoms were heart palpations, racing heart, hot flashes, heavy chest, couldn't breathe, nausea, etc... I started to take my iron regularly and I feel MUCH better. I’ve been anemic for years and can seriously get really scary, I used to pass out because of it. Lots of water and when you have the symptoms sit and have a light snack.
I was anemic while pregnant too. I took iron supplements. It’s recommended to take them with orange juice ( vitamin c )to help the absorption. After a couple of weeks the fatigue got so much better! My doctor at the time didn’t believe in prenatal vitamins. I was young and a little dumb so I followed his advice. I always wonder if I would have been anemic if I was taking them.

Hi Alex Im so glad you went to the cardiologist yes for anemia I found that "Standard Process" ferrofood iron was the best for me, with my anemia, I was so low my Dr. recommend to transfusion and this helped ferrofood worked for me so well, I didnt need to any longer. Try it I hope all the best with you.

The racing heart made it so hard to fall asleep and made me so anxious 😭 sorry you’re going through it! I tried to eat enough iron but had to supplement. Green smoothies helped me not get constipated!
I am so excited for you guys. Those symptoms that you described sound exactly like anxiety. Maybe you were indeed stressed out about work and the holidays. Glad you're feeling better now and sorry to hear about constipation. I never expected it during my first pregnancy so hopefully I don't either in a second pregnancy.

Me too. I threw up 2-3 day for 8 months it was torture
I hate being pregnant ! I also barfed, had acid reflux, bloating, swelling, pain in every inch of my body. It is pure misery and torture.
