Very interesting and informative series. I've never been to Manchester but it seems they have an excellent system, perhaps more light railway than tramway.
I think, in Germany, they would be classed as U bahn because of the raised platform. Just been to Dusseldorf and Cologne where this seems to be the only difference between tram routes and U bahn routes.
7:38 3022 named “Spirit of Manchester” and adorned with the livery of the worker bee, not for the Bee Network, but in memory of the 22 people who tragically lost their lives in the 2017 Manchester Arena Bombing. Within the unit there are plaques at either end which carry the infamous date and a simple line spoken in local dialect. “Stay strong, our kid” 💛🖤
I definitely would like to ride on the Manchester Metrolink trams as I never been to Manchester before.
