    I first heard this song in the early 90's. I was in Seattle commuting to work on the 5 in heavy traffic. The song was on a cassette. I would continuously rewind it and listen to it. Really nice work on this. It brought back a million memories. Peace.

    Words can't express the happiness I"m experiencing in stumbling onto your cover (s) here on youtube. You should be darned proud of yourself for figuring out this one + all the other Cockburn classics. Only others who painstakenly try to decipher Mr. Cockburn's picking style can appreciate the amount of time/work this must have taken. Many many thanks.

      I've been a huge Cockburn fan ever since the first time I heard Water To Wine back in the early eighties. Saw him in a small venue concert in Dallas about 12 years ago. He pissed me off #1 because he wouldn't play anything off the Resume album and then he had the gall to run down my president. So I up and walked out. When I got to the car I said to my wife " I can't believe I just walked out on Bruce Cockburn" Just another day in paradise!! :)

    Bravissimo @anotherSinger Andrea Luciani. Suono quel pezzo da una quarantina d'anni e come hai scritto rispondendo a qualcuno qui, effettivamente "qualche tempo" ci vuole per padroneggiarlo a dovere. Poi ti sei preso la briga pure di ricostruire l'assolo centrale, note by note, quindi bravissimo 2 volte. Pulito, sicuro, preciso. Voce forse un po' debole, ma tu non sei Bruce, dopotutto :-) . Per il resto, complimenti di tutto cuore e tanto di cappello per la scioltezza con cui la esegui. Io non la suono così bene ma probabilmente mi sono anche stufato di suonarla, pur continuando ad amarla. Riesci a suonare così bene anche "Bright Sky" ? Saluti cordialissimi !

      Antonio D'Este grazie, grazie di cuore per i complimenti. sai anch’io suono questo brano da una vita. tuttavia solo negli ultimi anni mi ero incaponito nello scoprirne tutti i passaggi. insomma una pignoleria.😁 ma a fin di bene! un caro saluto

      Antonio D'Este dimenticavo, bright sky c’è qui sul canale (m.ua-cam.com/video/nV6tDC9Zbcs/v-deo.html). mi sembra che funzioni, sebbene sia senza cori e percussioni. l’ho suonata anche per condividere con tutti la tecnica che BC credo abbia usato...

    • @antonioenricodeste
      @antonioenricodeste 4 роки тому

      @@anothersingerandrealuciani : Si, funziona, nonostante le parti omesse. Mi risulta anche visivamente più chiaro ora. Mi era da sempre sembrato apparentemente molto più complesso ( non che non lo sia, eh, in termini di veloce alternanza accordale). Domanda : Purtroppo io ho una impostazione di pollice sinistro " classica", nel senso che MAI lo uso per l'utilizzo di bassi e lo tengo saldamente a metà retro manico.( E questo vale anche per gli assoli ). Vedo che in una sezione del pezzo lo utilizzi per marcare una semplice sequenza di basso Sol-La. Naturalmente mi troverei in difficoltà, dovendo sostituire nella composizione accordale l'indice/medio/anulare con medio/anulare/mignolo. Il che sarebbe anche possibile, ma piuttosto scomodo e difficoltoso. Soluzioni alternative ? Quanto all'esecuzione del pezzo, Andrea, ancora tanto di cappello !
