राजदूत 175 एक प्रसिद्ध मोटरसाइकिल थी जिसने आधुनिक भारत के मोटरसाइकिल इतिहास को आकार दिया। मजबूत और भरोसेमंद, इस बाइक ने कई सवारियों को मंत्रमुग्ध किया और 70 के दशक में भारत में सबसे ज्यादा बिकने वाली बाइक थी। समय की हवाओं ने लोगों को इस अद्भुत मशीन को भुला दिया है। इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री में हमें पता चलता है कि राजदूत ने बाइकर्स की आंखों में एक अजीब विरासत छोड़ दी।

I have just restored my uncles rajdoot 175 6months ago ! People who are aged between 45-60 always see my rajdoot and tell me their craze for the bike when they were young ! I love talking to people and the sound is so soothing
where did you get the restoration done from? i have my grandfather's, laying dead at one corner of my house but i want to make it alive again! could you please share some details
@@rishavganguly1687 hey buddy , so I restored it from a old bullet mechanic ! You v should look out for rajdoot or old bullet garages in your city I am sure you would find one but remember to check the work of your bike on a. Regular basis and see if the parts used are genuine

Your video reminded me of my Nana ji 😀....this bike was one of his identities . Since 1970, he owned this bike and during his entire life he never switched to another bike . Rajdoot was his favourite one , i remember in 2013, when he had met an accident at the age of 74, doctor advised him to purchase scooty to ride on but he refused and chosen
to travel on public vehicle . He is no more😞 , but even today He and his Rajdoot are in our memories 🙏🏻
Edit :- felt great when you started this bike , through this voice we use to guess Nana aa gye and then we use to rush towards ground floor to greet him .

Buddy u just made me cry... my father had 1980 Rajdoot 175, even after almost 35/40 years there no change in the comfort...maine rajdoot mein bike chalana sikha...we still have that...it has become a member of our family...

Good researched script and very well presented.
Body was really super strong and engine perfomance was responsive though but lacked the thrill of CD, AX, KB 100s.
ExelT was launched at an expensive price 19k in 1989, it had cheap plastic panels and even lacked few basic elements like turn indicators. It's dashboard was very simple and even it's body graphics lacked basic design stimulation ..
While all other motor cycles had two padel gear lever ExelT had only single padel.
It's stand was a problem. And it's engine had heating problem on high speeds.
However the body was heavy and built was rugged ready to take any shock.

I still miss my excel t 175. I remember how it used to run like a cheetah. That feeling was priceless
My father had one when I was 5 or 6 years old..so many memories are associated with this bike.
It truly is a wondeful bike which has given many wonderful memories sir!

I have got one the same model . I have gone upto a highest speed of70 kmph in 1981 . It is in running condition even now . Really reliable & confident bike , hill climbing is superb .

You are so lucky. My father too had two rajdoots. First one was standard (when I was in class 2); then he upgraded to RD 175...(when I was in class 5)..in this bike, I learned to ride a bike secretly..at the time of Ramayana serial show.
...but I regret today; for motivating my father in letter days for selling that bike and change over to Vespa scooter.
Today Papa and those Rajdoots....both are only in my memories...

I learned to ride a bike with Rajdoot. Such an awesome bike. Still remember those days when I was an amateur rider but really felt like a boss when I rode it on the streets. Its sound and ride quality still wants me to ride it one more time. Nostalgic moment.

One sad thing that me raajdoit kabhi nahi chala paya mera 1989 ka birth he jab me bada ho raha tha tab rajdoot kam ho rahi thi us samay kisi ke paas bike hona badi baat mani jati thi aur jiske paas bike hoti yhi wo har kisi ko chalane nahi deta tha asani se.
2003 me mere bade bhaiyon ne yamaha rxg second hand kharidi bas wohi meri pahle bike bani . Par rajdoot chalane ka kabhi mauka nahi laga.

Brought back my childhood memories.
My father had bought an identical model in 1972. A black one from Davanagere BT Mill double road.
We then lived in Kumarapatnam near Harihara.
Sold it in Warangal in1987. I felt so sad that day and to this day I feel I have lost my own brother.
Can we bring back Rajdoot like they brought back Jawa.

Ek hi baar chalaya tha Rajdoot. Shayad 175cc thi. Kaafi chota tha.. sahi se bike chalani bhi nahi aati thi tab. Coaching ke ek senior ki bike ek round ke liye liya tha. Aur bike mein baithe ek khoobsurat ladki boli bhi thi ke tumhari bike hai? Senior thi coaching ki. Mast chali thi aur accident se baal baal bacha tha. Waise iska suspension us waqt mujhe bohot accha laga tha. Aur bike gaddhe mein girne pe bhi hollow box ki tarah aawaaz nahi kar rahi thi.

I had a Rajdoot 175 (Model 1966) . It was purchased by my Chacha ji in Chennai (Madras) when he commission in IAF in 1966. I still remember the number plate - MSR 5609. My Chacha ji gave it to me in 1992 and I used it for quite a few years, until I sold it off (I regret selling it off) and bought a Bajaj Chetak. This video made me nostalgic about my bike. I remember going for joy rides with my Chacha ji on it during my childhood days and later riding it myself. May I ask you where do you live? I would like my son to see this bike. He is a teenager and a bike enthusiast, but of course of modern super bikes! :)
