I have an 8.5 from a 71 buick in my 69 gto. Has 30 spline moser axles and a trutrac with 3.42 gears. Quite a stout rearend that most folks don't know about. Bought the 8.5 from my friend after he wrecked his 70 chevelle, only paid 150.00 for it back then. The blue collar buicks looking good!! I have a hood tack on my 69 gto, looks cool on the buick!
The Drum brakes looked like they were in good shape.
I have a 64 Buick wildcat, 2 door, all original, 402 nailhead, 2 speed automatic transmission, very little rust. Typical interior needed, Thanks
How tight were those rear wheels?
Anyone know what year was this at the Nats? I have gone the several years and don't remember seeing this car?
The show was from 2011 if that narrows it some. Could have been taped in 2010.
New or not the mating surfaces on the carrier and ring gear should have been deburred with a stone before assembly.

The exhaust system in this car looks pretty restrictive for a suped up Buick 455.
Under 400 horsepower a basic dual exhaust system does pretty good
@@joehudson3072 True but that Buick 455 is capable of making over 550 HP with some ported and polished aluminum heads and intake manifold.

The old school Buicks are by far a million times better looking than the hideous overpriced Modern Buicks.
Nothing in '73 hit performance goals of just the two years prior! Our dependence on foriegn oil ruined all that for well over ten years...

I don't mind them. It's the tiny brake package behind it that bugs me.
I love this car except the rims they look so cheap and bad please put some real rims on that car and do it justice.
