Omfg watching this after knowing jumping is the very thing that put me in this position rn, 4 weeks post-op. I’m literally terrified of jumping ever again, at least more that a few inches.

same for me. I didn't tore my ACL but injured it in volleyball after landing on my single leg. I have to train again but I'm scared that I may tore it this time.

If you tore your ACL most likely you will need surgery to actually have an ACL doing its function. Without ACL you can get used to living like that but it will never be the same. I’m 3 months 15 days post surgery and I’m recovering very fast with physical therapy and now joined the gym.

I’m about 5 weeks out of post op and I’m struggling with the thought of being able to do what I need to for fire department training. I was hurt while doing jumping jacks and I just don’t know how well I’ll perform after PT and return training… any advice or tips to follow?

Oh hell no! Do you want to torn your ACL again? Bc that exercise is not something I would do, even with the brace on.

You have to build strength in compromised positions. The body adapts to stress. If it stays weak and doesnt adapt, the risk of injury is much more likely.
A "Jefferson curl" is the perfect example of building strength in a compromised position to prevent injury.

That kneebrace is not fixed properly: junction is under knee and not at right hight on the knee and it is very dangerous . Doesn't work as it has to

Sitting here waiting to hear from my surgeon. See her drop off that box knowing at some point she felt as bad if not worse than I do was not only terrifying but filled me with an overwhelming feeling of hope. Thank you.
