The subliminal power of the hood ornament was key to retaining customer loyalty. After owning a Mercedes you could not drive any other car without feeling that "something is missing". You could not figure out what but it was simply the three-pointed star in front of you leading you in your journeys and instilling in you a sense of quality and poise.
great car - great condition - it would takes tens of thousands to restore to this condition - should sell well on ebay - i have a 66 250se coupe as well - euro model with s/r - that's all your car needs - - a sunroof! good luck with the sale
a '66 shouldn't have side marker lights or those large front turn signals. The front seat headrests are super rare. The added trim on the leading edge of the hood, while custom made, is of dubious aesthetic value. Engine bay is tidy and the old girl is ticking over nicely.
The 66 models did not have the side markers or headrests. If this is really a 66, it would appear seats and body panels were swapped with later-year parts.
Car looks in fantastic order. Although deep red exterior and black interior is the least attractive combination in my opinion, they probably represent the original colours.
This is a real Mercedes Benz, not those new AMGs and other "Spaceships" from Benz. A great car in wonderful condition.

I have one. Where did you get chrome pieces on front edge of hood?
They were on the car when I bought it. This car never came with those but I left them because of the holes to mount them.

Actually, this appears to be the green interior.
Do you know the price of this car 🚗 according to the web site of mercedes-benz is 41500€ so no body can buy and drive it 😞😞😞
