Andor's Haunting Finale Changed Rogue One Forever

- Rogue One already had an impressive and succinct ending but the post credit scene to Episode 12 of Andor just made it retroactively even MORE devastating. I love when shows enrich the already established lore, and Andor was no exception.
If you enjoyed this video, I'd love it if you would continue to check out more content on this channel. Thank you very much for stopping by :)

The name Andor it’s perfect for the series. It’s not just Casian, it’s Maarva too
I hadn't thought about it like that, that's perfect!
Yes, the passing of the torch from the old rebel Maarva and how her speech helped spark a combined people's rebellion effort, to Casian the new rebel who helps finish the ideological weapon she started.
And Clem. Don't forget Clem.
Andor was almost a catalyst for the events in the series.
Spoiler:
Factory workers on the Manhattan Project had no idea what they were helping to make:
The atom bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.
Great now you've ruined Hearts of Iron 4 for me. I know what happens now! Thanks a lot
Even tho andor is the main character I feel like they could’ve named the show rebellion
100%
I do get your point. However, this story is told through the lens of Andor. Perhaps, it could have been titled: Rebellion-The Andor Saga. Then the next series up should be REBELLION-The Luthern Chronicle. You know there has got to be one heck of a backstory on Luthern. Something set him on this path, and that is a rich series in itself. But that would NEED to be made by the same teams that brought us Andor. We could only dream, can't we?
I honestly feel like that would’ve gained it more viewership
I just love your videos, they are so well made. I really apreaciate your work.
This comment means a lot to me, than you for the kind words! I hope you continue to enjoy the content coming up for the next few weeks as well :)
Really looking forward to see how they carry forward this amazing story they've created. Let's keep our fingers crossed they don't F it up 🤞
Your videos are very well made and I fully agree with everything you've said about Andor. This is truly the best piece of Disney Star Wars content.
Actually, this completes a theme for every major human member of Rogue One was associated both the creation and destruction of the Death Star:
Jyn’s dad: designed it
Melshi & Cassian: labor
Chirut/Baze: lost control of its fuel
Bodi: ferried parts or fuel related bic he knew Galen
It’s like with Dir. Krennic.
Krennic forced Galen to work on it, Galen laid the seeds of its destruction, like poetry but for all of them.
Also, Gilroy was brilliant for having marva, as a brick get the first hit in.😅
This is so true, what a great little detail laying under all of it and thank you for bringing it to the surface!!!
i think between the rewrites, reshootings and whatever other complications rogue one had, it ended up a very decent movie. its definitely not a masterpiece but its one of the few star wars films i enjoy rewatching.
like ive watched it more times than ive watched episodes 6, 8 or 9
He’s at it again 🗣️
Am i one of the few with notifications on?
You might be, and for that you have my eternal thanks + im sending you all my good karma for the rest of the year. Thank you for checking out my videos!
@@SpacemanSR lmao. Naw you make some good vids ngl. Definitely need more subs
@@LuckyLego Appreciate that thank you! Hope to cross 10k next year
Eh, Star Wars isn’t that bright. I don’t buy the whole parallels poetry they rhyme crap. Don’t pretend that Star Wars up until now has been this big cohesive well thought out series because it has not been. That’s the reason we all love Andor is because it is saving the series after so much crap
Masterpiece?
100%. Best space battle & cinematography in the series (for me atleast)
@@SpacemanSR Yep, second best Star Wars cinema only bested by Episode V.
I am so surprised to hear someone call Rogue One a masterpiece...
The story felt forced, some of the characters were very one-dimensional or inconsistent in their motivations.
It was the movie that made me quit the StarWars franchise.
That's crazy. I regard Rogue One as my favorite movie. It shows that star wars is more than Jedi and Sith. It also has regular people that do heroic things.
I'm sorry to hear that. While I like a lot of Star Wars, Rogue One was the only Star Wars that gripped the adult me, the way the originals gripped me as a kid. Now Andor is on that short list too.
I found it a huge disappointment. I had hoped for an Andor-like adult experience, but we got shallow, unconvincing characters, nonsensical plotting, the stupid (but popular) huge space battle and infuriating memberberries ending that does the same "crime" that most recent SW media is doing: instead if expanding the universe and telling smaller stories within this gigantic galactic conflict, it tied it into what we all already know. I've never seen it again since and I don't intend to.
Agree. It was silly, forgettable, with pretentious characters. Andor is MUCH better.
In context of the crap we have gotten from this franchise...IT IS a masterpiece! In relation to other great movies, it has issues and could rightly not be categorized as a masterpiece...but none of its shortcomings prevents it from being TOTALLY enjoyable.
