Agree with your choice. If you have the budget of course you'd prefer the top speck bike. The factory review of the Elite stated Indian are only making 150 world wide of the 2023 Elites. I would test ride the Harley Street Glide v the Indian Darkrhorse limited which has some nice touches - electronic height adjustable screen, weatherproof pocket with charger socket for your phone and that big touch screen.

I ride a Harley Davidson road glide but I like these indian bikes too. Tried the challenger but it just didn't do it for me. However, I did like the road Master limited.

I had an Indian and sold it, went back to Harley. While i did like the Indian, there were things i didnt like also. I hated that ugly dash layout, every time i looked at it, it reminded me of Johnny 5 from live wire. Off the crate you do get a little more bang for your buck; however, when it comes to personalizing and performance parts available Harley is way out front, Indian is very limited.
I have 3 Harley's now and i love how i can customize them anyway i want to be different then every other Harley, whereas with Indian, because of limited upgrades available you have few options
I currently have a 2021 Street Glide, 2014 Wide Glide & 2009 Rocker C and they all have performance upgraded along with cosmetic, the thing i like about Harley most is that if i can want it, someone is selling it, doesnt matter if i want something cosmetic or something performance, one of the zillion aftermarket venders are selling it.

I chose the 22 Roadmaster limited. The power windshield and heated and cooled seat yes air conditioned seat with stage 2 with rinehart slimline headers and pipe with performance baffles. 6th gear pull is amazing 2up.

Polaris should bring back the Victory brand and run it parallel to Indian but as base models or what we can call "affordable" and make Indian to be the *luxurious* brand. kinda like we have Ford and Lincoln, Chevy and Cadillac, Honda and Acura plus Toyota and Lexus, it'll be Indian and Victory while Harley Davidson can still act like Mercedes Benz or BMW.
This is a different Era with different generation that doesn't care where your stuff is made nor the history behind it, all they care about is reliability and price and to be honest Victory was known to be more reliable than Harley Davidson.
I think if Polaris did that they'll crush Harley Davidson for sure.

$28K and NO heated grips? Seat?
And everyone complained of the $$ of the Star Eluders?
You CAN get heated seats on a CB 300!

Don't seem to be that difference between the two to justify the big price difference

How bout a used 06-07 stratoliner for 5000 bucks, 1900cc, and usually extras like exhaust, etc...I think you dont understand what bang for your buck means.
I think "best new overpriced bike to go into debt for" is what you meant to say.
