    That stove Matt was a great find and buy and wraps looked ruddy tasty but I bet the goose didn't get a look in after the fire eating display lol 😂. You boys really do know how to enjoy yourselves. Winter carp fishing at its finest with or without the errr....carp. A superb watch and listen as always. Paul :)

      Thanks Paul Yes this no carp fishing is becoming a bit of a pain, that goose is as mad as a box of frogs, just watched you hike video though it was a brilliant walk and great views.

    Glad to know that I have added to the sum total of you knowledge, even if it's just the common name of the Swedish field cook set. I can also report that I used the whoopie slings I won in your earlier give-away for my first serious winter hammocking session (-13C) weekend before last and they work great. Thanks again! Cheers/Thomas

      See that little snippet of info sunk in... -13 wow good man that sounds great and I'm a bit jealous, I've only been down to -3 this year :-( .. glad the slings are ok though Personally I think they are far better than straps. Absolutely no stretch in them, when they are set, they stay set glad all is good Thomas, regards Matt

      It was brilliant. First night with my underquilt from cumulus.pl and I actually had to adjust my top quilt to not start sweating.
      I realised how important the no strech aspect becomes when you have 10cm of down quilt under your arse that you really, really don't want to end up touching the ground or the snow.

      @MaffTUK  6 років тому +1

      Very true top job, and you cant beat a good topquilt, and under quilt you can budget in other areas but not there, As you say when you get it right your warm!

    Not fished Foxs yet pal , the swims put me off a bit as there very close but theres a good head of carp in there up to close 30s , thumbs up great vid mate .

    • @MaffTUK
      @MaffTUK  6 років тому +1

      Thanks Stu yeh it wasn't out first choice but we had a go, I would not want to fish this place mid summer with all swims full ...not for me but half full its not too bad.... I did not know there were nearly 30lbs in there that,s not bad actually....I think that should have been a 8 swim water not 12... we still had some fun though Stu. regards Matt

      If you can get on sunny one pal look for the far end swims the ones that have the big tree line opposite them, walk the tree line half way in the middle of the lake and you will see a pipe pushing water in from sunny 2 , aim for that as in the summer months thats where the big fish jump , all the best mate .
